Abstract

In general, the development of a child's language is separated into two stages: the Pralinguistic and Linguistic periods. The goal of this research is to examine the phonological study of child language acquisition during the linguistic period, which covers vowel and consonant acquisition, as well as factors that influence phonology acquisition. This study looks at the following questions: 1) What factors influence a child's phonological acquisition during the language period? 2) How does a four-year-old learn voices and consonants? 3) What is the reason for the child's phonological acquisition?  This study used a case study approach to qualitative research. The data was gathered by observation, documentation, and interviews from the utterances of a 4-year-old named TRS. Meanwhile, phonological analysis was used to examine the data. TRS has mastered vocal phonemes since she was two years old, according to the findings of this study. The consonant [r] and its vibrating sound have yet to develop and be mastered. The lack of a proper pronunciation of TRS is partly to blame for the formation of significant differences in the acquisition of TRS phonology.  In other words, the TRS language's phonological acquisition has not yet achieved its peak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimental yang mencari pengaruh penggunaan teknik freewriting terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi analitik. Permasalahan yang berhasil diidentifikasi penulis di antaranya adalah siswa masih kekurangan kosakata dan belum dapat mengungkapkan gagasannya dalam bentuk tulisan dengan baik terutama pada teks eksposisi analitik. Apalagi, nilai menulis mereka masih rendah. Selain itu, mereka tidak fokus dan jenuh saat menulis eksposisi analitik. Terakhir, teknik mengajar yang digunakan guru masih kurang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Subjek penelitian diambil 76 siswa di kelas XI SMA Swasta Harapan Bangsa Kuala tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Tes menulis berupa lima macam judul yang terdiri dari beberapa topik fenomenal digunakan untuk memperoleh data tentang variabel tersebut. Penulis meminta siswa memilih hanya satu judul yang diberikan. Mereka menulis eksposisi analitis yang terdiri dari sekitar 100 kata selama sekitar 45 menit. Data akhir kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis uji-t bahwa koefisiennya tinggi dan signifikan dengan melihat koefisien thitung (2,956) lebih besar dari koefisien ttabel (1,68830). Artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan teknik freewriting terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi analitik siswa kelas XI SMA Swasta Harapan Bangsa Kuala tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan desain penelitian eksperimental yang bertujuan untuk mencari pengaruh video YouTube terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi analitik. Sebanyak 60 siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Melati Binjai diambil sebagai subjek penelitian. Tes menulis berupa lima macam judul yang terdiri dari beberapa topik fenomenal dan digunakan untuk memperoleh data tentang variabel tersebut. Penulis meminta siswa untuk memilih hanya satu judul yang diberikan. Mereka menulis teks eksposisi analitis yang terdiri dari sekitar 100 kata selama sekitar 45 menit. Data akhir kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis uji-t bahwa hasilnya menunjukkan koefisien tinggi dan signifikan dengan melihat koefisien thitung (3,055) lebih besar dari koefisien ttabel (1,70113). Artinya ada pengaruh video YouTube terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi analitik pada siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Melati Binjai. Dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian diterima.

Abstract

This research is conducted in order to improve students’ writing ability uing Round Table Technique at Nineth grade of SMP Pabaku Stabat. The study is concerning with experimental study which discussed the effect of round table technique on students’ ability in writing report text. It took place at SMP Pabaku Stabat. The subjects were the nineth grade students with the population of 132 students. 72 students were chosen as the sample and group into experimental and control group. Each group consisted of 36 students. The experimental group was taught with round table technique while the control one was taught without round table technique. A writing test was used to collect the data on the students’ writing ability. The data collected were analyzed by using t-test. The result of the data analysis showed that the t-observed was 7,24. It was higher that the value of t-table (tt) is 1,66 for 5% and 2,38 for 1%. This meant that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It can be concluded that there is effect of round table technique on students’ ability in writing report text of nineth grade of SMP Pabaku Stabat in academic year 2018/2019.

It took place at SMA yayasan pendidikan harapan bangsa kuala kabupaten langkat. The subjects were the eleventh year students with the population of 72 students. 72 students were chosen as the sample and group into experimental and control group. Each group consisted of 36 students. The experimental group was taught with de bono model while the control one was taught without De bono model. A writing test was used to collect the data on the students’ writing achievement. The data collected were analyzed by using t-test. The result of the data analysis showed that the t-observed was 7,24. It was higher that the value of t-table (tt) is 1,66 for 5% and 2,38 for 1%. This meant that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Abstract

This study aimed to find out whether using Outdoor Learning significantly affects on teaching writing of descriptive text of tenth year grade students’ of SMA SWASTA TAMANSISWA Binjai at Academic Year 2017/2018 . In this study, Outdoor Learning as the independent variable (X) and students’ descriptive text as the dependent variable (Y), with the hypothesis: using Outdoor Learning significantly affects on teaching writing of descriptive text of tenth year grade students’ of SMA SWASTA TAMANSISWA Binjai at Academic Year 2017/2018. The population of this study was the tenth year grade students’ of SMA SWASTA TAMANSISWA Binjai, which consisted of 161 sudents. The sample was taken by using random sampling, the total sample  was 60 students. Then, the sample was divided into two groups, the group taught by using outdoor learning was as the experimental group and the group taught without outdoor learning was as the control group. The  writer used test as the instrument of collecting data. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the value of t-observed (to) was higher than the value of t-table, (tobserved = 4,13 > ttable = 1,67). Therefore, the hypothesis proposed by the writer was accepted. In the other words, using Outdoor Learning significantly affects on teaching writing of descriptive text of tenth year grade students’ of SMA SWASTA TAMANSISWA Binjai at academic year 2017/2018.Keywords : Outdoor Learning, Teaching Writing, Descriptive Text.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan desain penelitian eksperimental yang bertujuan untuk mencari pengaruh pembelajaran koperatif: Teknik Give One, Take One terhadap pencapaian menulis teks deskriptif. Sebanyak 52 siswa kelas X MAS Al Washliyah 29 Binjai pada semester ganjiltahun ajaran 2021/2022 diambil sebagai sampel penelitian. Peneliti membuat instrumen; yaitu pre-test dan post-test. Peneliti memberikan tiga macam judul. Peneliti meminta siswa untuk memilih hanya satu judul yang diberikan. Mereka menulis teks deskriptif yang terdiri dari sekitar 50 kata dalam waktu sekitar 45 menit. Data akhir kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis Paired-Samples T Test menunjukkan bahwa signifikansi (sig) nilai 2-tailed 0.000000 lebih rendah dari taraf signifikansi (0.05) dan ditentukan bahwa koefisien thitung adalah 13.901 yang berarti lebih tinggi dari koefisien ttabel (2.05954) dengan taraf signifikansi (α) = 0.025 (2-tailed) dengan derajat kebebasan (df) = 25. Artinya ada pengaruh pembelajaran koperatif: Teknik Give One, Take One terhadap pencapaian menulis teks deskriptif pada siswa kelas X MAS Al Washliyah 29 Binjai pada semester ganjiltahun ajaran 2021/2022. Dengan demikian Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak.

Abstract

This study aims to find: improving students' reading comprehension through the use of the PORPE strategy. This research uses a quasi-experimental design because it is comparable to collecting data of reading comprehension and provides a pre-test and a post-test to collect the data. The instrument used is a reading test. The sample of this research is class XI at KEJAYAAN INDONESIA SMA which consists of 16 students. Samples were taken using a sampling technique. Based on the findings, it was found that the students' scores in understanding the meaning of the reading text increased where the pre-test t-value (66.66) < t-table (83.33) It can be concluded that the increase in students' understanding of the meaning of a reading text increased significantly by using the PORPE strategy

Abstract

The objective of the study is to know the significant effect of using Visual Media on students’ writing skill at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Selesai. The method applied in this research was quantitative method in the design is Quasi experimental. Two classes were taken as the sample of the study with 20 students in each class. The classes were designed as an experimental class and controlled class. The experimental class was taught by using Visual Media while the controlled class was taught without using the treatment. The students’ population at SMA Negeri 1 Selesai, and the samples were 40 students (20 students for the experimental class and 20 students for the controlled class). The sampling technique that used was total population sampling. Moreover, this research was conducted through the following procedures giving pre-test, applying treatments, and giving post-test. The data analyzed in this research was gained through essay test. The result of the conclusion that in testing the hypothesis, the value of t-observation (to) was 8.23, and t-table (tt) at significance level of 5% was 1.686. It means tottable , then 8.23 1.686. So, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Based on the result, it can be concluded that using Visual Media was effective on increasing students’ writing skill narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Selesai
