Abstract

This study was conducted to explore the concept of Levitical leadership in the Bible. The problem that often occurs is that even if there are leaders who are born genetically because they are inherited, strict rules are still needed so that the next generation of churches can continue the leadership relay well. Given the existence of a church that carries the concept of the Levitical priesthood, the writer is interested in examining whether it is still relevant to the church today and formulating it in a scientific study, namely "The Levitical Concept in the Leadership Relay and Its Relevance to the Church Today". The author uses a descriptive analysis qualitative research method, with a literature and library approach. The church that carries the concept of the Levitical priesthood, indirectly rejects the New Testament priesthood where Jesus continues the line of the Melchizedek priesthood, and not the Levitical priesthood, this is what clarifies the difference between the New Testament priesthood and the Levitical priesthood. So it can be concluded that the Levitical priesthood is no longer relevant in a church that recognizes Jesus as high priest, according to the Melchizedek line.

Abstract

John Calvin is one of the foremost theologians among reformed theologians. His works are a major contribution to the history of Protestant development even to the present day. But along the way, the development of Protestant theology has produced two views on the sustainability of the gifts of the Spirit. One of the views is to see that the gifts of the Holy Spirit no longer occur after the Biblical canonization (cessationism). This view is dominated by most Calvinist theologians and eventually creates the stigma that Calvin theology does not emphasize the Holy Spirit in its doctrines, even though in his day Calvin was given the nickname "The Theologian of the Holy Spirit”. This fact goes against the built stigma. To answer this question, the writer uses the descriptive-qualitative research method by reviewing the theology of the Holy Spirit written by Calvin in his masterpiece Institutes of The Christians, and the context at that time. In the end, this research finds that the main points of the Calvin’s Holy Spirit theology that are not indicated to the built stigma about Calvin’s Holy Spirit theology are the basis of cessationist or rationalist, but on the contrary, in accordance to the nickname given to him as the theologian of the Holy Spirit who integrated the theology of the Holy Spirit in all of his doctrines and ministries based on the Bible.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the contextual mission construction using the concept of Jubata to introducing the concept of the Trinity in a biblical view to Dayak Tanayatn people This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to identify how the Kanayatn Dayak understand the Jubata figure. The results show that through the adaptative method and using the seven Jubata names in the Kanayatn Dayak language to understanding the concept of the Triune God in biblical view and change the understanding of the survivors' sacrifices to be understood as worldly salvation, not eternal in nature through the image of Jubata (which is equated with the spirit of the ancestors) but is directed to one of God's persons in the Trinity of God the Son (Jesus Christ) as the Savior of mankind. Thus, the contextual mission construction of the Jubata concept in the introduction of the Gospel of the Triune God can be a reference material for carrying out outreach missions to remote tribes and building contextual mission studies that are culturally appropriate to spread the Gospel among  the Kanayatn Dayak tribe in Landak, West Kalimantan.
