Abstract

In the current era of free trade and economic globalization, which is characterized by the liberalization of trade and investment, very rapid progress in the fields of communication, information and technology, the dependence between sellers and buyers has greatly increased. Business activities always require space, so it is clear that e-Commerce applications are built on existing technological infrastructure. Many people think e-Commerce is just a website, even though e-Commerce is actually more than that. The concept of e-Commerce is about how to use the internet to do business better and faster. The spread of the Covid-19 virus has resulted in the Indonesian government imposing social restrictions and PSBB which makes it difficult for people to carry out activities outside the home and closes people's access to income to meet their needs or just buy necessities. One of the impacts of Covid-19 is on UMKM business actors, but with the development of the era, the use of e-Commerce has become an option in doing business.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of an information technology-based management system at North Sumatra State University, seen from the aspects of communication, resources and attitudes of implementers. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that the implementation of an information technology-based management information system at UINSU from the communication aspect has not been effective. This can be seen from the low level of understanding from top management to implementers regarding clarity of content, objectives, direction, target groups, and specific division of information tasks regarding the implementation of an information technology-based management information system. Judging from the aspect of resources (human and financial), it is less effective. This can be seen from the quantity of professional management human resources which is still lacking, the quality of management human resources is less innovative and creative in developing application systems, and the existing financial support is limited to minimum service standards. Judging from the aspect of the implementer's attitude, it shows resistance in terms of less than optimal service and network performance as a result of inaccessibility to all units within the UINSU environment.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of business information systems with machine learning technology to enhance decision-making efficiency and accuracy. The objective of this research is to implement machine learning algorithms into business information systems to automatically process and analyze data, predict business trends, and provide more intelligent recommendations. The methods involve collecting historical data from business information systems, applying machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, or clustering, and integrating the analysis results into the BI platform. The outcome is an enhanced capability of business information systems to optimize supply chains, identify consumer behavior patterns, and optimize marketing strategies based on more accurate predictions. Integrating machine learning technology with business information systems proves to be an effective strategy for improving a company's competitiveness in the current digital era.

Abstract

Real-time data management plays a crucial role in Internet of Things (IoT) applications that require fast and efficient data processing and analysis. This article aims to explore various methods of real- time data management used in the context of IoT. These methods encompass data collection, transmission, storage, and real-time analytics. The primary focus is on enhancing the efficiency of IoT data management and minimizing delays in decision-making based on incoming data. The outcomes of this approach are expected to optimize the performance of IoT applications by providing rapid responsiveness to continuously flowing data. Thus, the article summarizes the objectives, methods, and outcomes of implementing real-time data management for high-performance and optimal responsiveness in IoT applications.

Abstract

In the ever-growing digital era, e-commerce has become an important foundation in the world of commerce. In the midst of increasingly fierce competition, e-commerce companies are required to understand in depth the influence of website quality and service on consumer purchasing interest. This journal comprehensively investigates the impact of website quality and service in the context of e-commerce sites. Website quality, which includes appearance, performance, information, and security, as well as website services, such as customer support, payment processing, and personalization of experiences, have a significant influence on consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions. Through in-depth analysis, this journal highlights the importance of website quality and service in building strong relationships with customers, increasing retention, and achieving long-term success in the dynamic e-commerce industry. By paying attention to these factors, e-commerce companies can optimize their strategies to attract and retain consumers in this increasingly competitive environment.

Abstract

This article discusses challenges and solutions related to cybersecurity in e-commerce transactions. With the rapid growth of e-commerce, cybersecurity has become a critical issue that needs to be taken seriously. Cybersecurity challenges in e-commerce transactions include threats such as identity theft, malware attacks, phishing attacks, and data breaches. This article identifies and analyzes some of the cybersecurity challenges faced by e-commerce transactions. These challenges include technological infrastructure vulnerabilities, user non-compliance with good security practices, and a lack of effective detection and response systems to evolving threats. Next, this article presents solutions that can be implemented to overcome cyber security challenges in e-commerce transactions. These solutions include implementing strong data encryption, the use of dual authentication, security training for users, proactive threat monitoring and detection, and increased compliance with security standards. In this article, we also discuss the need for collaboration between governments, e-commerce companies and users to create a better security environment. This collaboration involves exchanging information, establishing appropriate policies, and increasing awareness of the importance of cyber security in e-commerce transactions.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of knowledge about technological developments among students in Medan City. The survey method was used to collect data from a representative sample of students from various universities in the region. This research analyzes their understanding of the latest technological trends, use of technology in everyday life, as well as awareness of emerging technological innovations. The findings of this study can provide valuable insights for educators, researchers, and policy makers in increasing technological understanding among the younger generation, which is key to preparing them to face the growing demands of the future in the technological realm.
