Abstract

A Study conducted by PISA in 2018 showed that Indonesian students’ mathematical abilities were at a low level of performance. It means that numeracy literacy of Indonesian students is very low. The purpose of this study was to predict how the effect of learning using the Quiziz application on students’ numeracy literacy in elementary schools. The method was used the single subject method by doing pretes and post-test. The results of study show that average post-test score of students is greater than the average pretest score. This is because the Quiziz application which is used as a learning medium can be made attractively using the various features provided so that students are more interested in learning. The study conclude that the Quiziz application can improve students’ numeracy literacy skills in elementary schools. The increase in literacy has an impact on the mindset of children in solving problems in every day life.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic requires the education system which was originally face-to-face in schools to be switched to distance learning or also known as online learning (in the network). The purpose of this research is to find out what are the problems faced by students during the online learning process. In this study, we used a descriptive method, with primary data. The results obtained indicate that there are problems faced in the distance learning process, limited learning tools, limited internet access and internet quota. It is hoped that after this research, the problems can be immediately addressed and become an evaluation for various parties to continue to improve the quality of distance learning to be more effective. Abstract

In the process of learning a song work, constraints often occur in students' limited memory. The song material given at the first meeting will be forgotten when reviewed at the second meeting, to overcome this we try to apply number notation as a way for students to recall the tone of the song that has been given. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency and response of the application of number notation to song learning in junior high school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, the data collection technique used in this study is to provide a pre-test and post-test which contains 10 questions regarding numerical notation. The findings of this study gave a positive response to the students, in the initial pre-test found results that were not good because many of the students did not understand numeric notation at all, but after that they were shown a video of reading material notation of numbers and then a post-test was carried out, the results were good. The students made progress after seeing the video. The conclusion of this study is to implement numeric notation in the song learning process, making it easier for students to memorize the material and making it easier for teachers in the process of conveying it, thus it is hoped that it can be a solution to the problems previously mentioned.

Abstract

Empowerment of children aged from early to understand the mitigation of disasters is a step early build community aware of disaster so that when it happens a disaster then participants Extension is that teachers and children ages early in Community learning activity centre Baitul Muttaqin that is in place is no longer confusion and panic because it has understood how to how to overcome and reduce the risk of disaster. The purpose of knowledge that is acquired during the extension quake earth is transmitted to the environment around in order to reduce the risk of disaster, then the method of observation participant and pre-test post-test used in the extension of this. Results achievement and conclusions in the activity is as follows: a) Have their knowledge and understanding of the mitigation of disaster so that every action aims to increase self-awareness them about the disaster that potentially occur, and b) it has knowledge of preparedness will mitigate the disaster which aims to tackle and reduce the impact of disasters or long - term risks to property and human life.

Abstract

The aim of this research is whether the numerical minimum competency assessment can be one of the learning media to increases students' interest, especially in mathematics. To support this research, we used quantitative research methods, namely data collection was carried out using a series of research instruments in the form of a numerical minimum competency assessment test, both pre-test and post-test using google form media. This numerical minimum competency assessment test was given to find out how far the ability and interest of students in mathematics. There were 10 questions given to 11 students. Based on the results of the study, the number of students' interest in learning scores increased from 500 to 900. This happened because the minimum competency assessment media literacy got a positive response from students. After all, the minimum competency assessment questions used pictures and stories so that it could be said that the minimum competency assessment was interesting for students. Therefore, it could be concluded that the use of minimum competency assessment media literacy in learning mathematics increased students' interest in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and improve students' understanding of literacy through learning video media. Based on previous research, there are not too many studies that discuss Strengthening Literacy for Learning Arts, Culture and Crafts in Sculpture Artwork Materials for 6th-grade elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative approach to pre-experimental design in the form of pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, before providing an understanding of the material of Sculpture in the students' understanding of Cultural Arts and Crafts learning, the results of the pre-test only reached an average value of 61.0% then an increase occurred after the learning video media was given, the post-test results the test given increased by 90.28%. The results showed that the difference was 29.28%. So, it can be concluded that the use of instructional video media on the material of sculptures learning Arts, Culture and Crafts can improve students' knowledge literacy.

Abstract

Instant noodles are very popular with people of all ages as a popular food for the reason that noodles are delicious, practical and filling, especially for children. Apart from being delicious, instant noodles are also easy to find anywhere. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of knowledge and actions of elementary school students regarding instant noodles, as well as to increase students' knowledge of instant noodles through educational video media. To support the research, we used qualitative research methods to students in elementary schools with data collection techniques used, namely giving pre-test and post-test using google form. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 26.15% and the average post-test score of students was 52.25%, which means an increase of 26.1%. Hence, students' knowledge of instant noodles can be increased by providing material through video media provided through the Whatsapp application.
