Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a scale of abusive supervision in Indonesia. The study was conducted with a different context and scale development method from Tepper’s (2000) abusive supervision scale. The abusive supervision scale from Tepper (2000) was developed in the U.S., which has a cultural orientation of low power distance. The current study was conducted in Indonesia, which has a high power distance. This study used interview procedures to obtain information about supervisor’s abusive behavior, and it was also assessed by experts. The results of this study indicated that abusive supervision was a 3-dimensional construct. There were anger-active abuse (6 items), humiliation-active abuse (4 items), and passive abuse (15 items). These scales have internal reliabilities of 0.947, 0.922, and 0.845, in sequence.

Abstract

This study examined relationship of organizational politics and support to job satisfaction, turnover intent, organizational commitment (affective dan normative), job performance and OCB; and to investigated whether politics could explained incremental variance in dependent variable beyond be explained by support, or vice versa. The sample was accountant staff those working at 15 Public Accountant Offices in Surabaya.The result show that politics were negatively related to job satisfaction, affective and normative commitment, job performance; positively related to turnover intent. Support was positively related to job satisfaction, affective and normative commitment; negatively related to turnover intent. Politics and support could explained incremental variance beyond each other.Keywords: organizational politics, job performance, politics support

Abstract

This study examines the effect of distribution, procedural, and Interactional justice on customer satisfaction Data were collected from 183 students on 4 universities in Surabaya. This study finds that interactional and procedural justice has effect on customer satisfaction. However, this study that distribution justice has no effect on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to examine effect of organizational support as moderating variable on the relationship between intrinsic motivation and creativity, and that effect on the relationship between individual personality and creativity. The sample was lecturer that working in university in Surabaya. Hierarchical regression analysis show that organizational support wasn't gives effect on the relationship between intrinsic motivation and creativity. Organizational support was given effect on the relationship between individual personality and creativity.

Abstract

In the globalization era and taster changing environment, universities in Indonesia must be adapted in order to survive in the future. Quality can be improved by effective management function, chance to develop human resources' creativity, costumer oriented, and trying to fit course programs with business world. University also must be concerned with employee' s need, because the characteristic of service company, the people that provided service is important. If universities want to do that, sustainable growth can be reached.

Abstract

Power within an organization is something which subunits of the same level want to obtain. The sources of a subunit's power include its ability in coping with uncertainty, substitutability, centrality, and value congruence with top management. To acquire and use power, a subunit takes into account the organizational politics concept.

Abstract

Human resources are a resource that has its own characteristics because it has emotions and thoughts. Emotions and thoughts that arise can affect employee job satisfaction and employee loyalty level of employment as human resources. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and obtain empirical evidence of the influence of empowerment and workplace environment to job satisfaction and employee’s job loyalty. This research is a quantitative research with three hypotheses to be tested. The sample used in this study are 200 respondents who are employees of MSMEs in Madura and Surabaya. Relevant data in this research are 50 data from 200 respondents to be processed. Independent variables used are employee empowerment and workplace environment, the first dependent variable is job satisfaction and second dependent variable that is employee work loyalty. The results of the tested on the employees of MSME showed that the two independent variables have a positive effect on the first dependent variable and the first dependent variable also positively affects the second dependent variable

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and organizational commitment to job satisfaction nurses Bobong Hospital. This research is a causal research. The entire population in the study was used as a sample (census study). Data were collected through questionnaires and then processed by multiple regression analysis technique using SPSS program. The object of this research is nurses Bobong Hospital. The number of samples used in this study amounted to 68 respondents. The result of this research is work motivation have an effect on signifikan to job satisfaction. Hence hypothesis 1 is fulfilled. In addition, other results indicate that organizational commitment has no effect on job satisfaction. Thus the 2nd hypothesis is rejected.

Abstract

In this era, digitalization becomes the trend on which everything goes digital and this includes paying through application. The users’ intention to continue using the application is very important. Based on the extended model of information technology continuance, the factors that influence the application continuance intention are post-usage usefulness, self-efficacy and satisfaction. This research aimed to analyze the influence of Post-Usage Usefulness, Self-Efficacy and Satisfaction Towards the Application Continuance Intention of T-Cash. This research is a causal study and uses a non-probability purposive sampling technique. The total number of respondents is 150 respondents who have T-Cash application and had experiences in using T-Cash application for payment in the last three months. The data were processed and analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling technique through LISREL software. This research proved that Post-Usage Usefulness has a significant positive effect on the Application Continuance Intention and Satisfaction, Self-Efficacy has a significant positive effect on the Application Continuance Intention and Satisfaction, and Satisfaction has a significant positive effect on the Application Continuance Intention. The suggestions for T-Cash are to add more features that are beneficial for making payments faster, designing an easy and interactive user interface, and providing users with easy to follow instructions.

Abstract

Guru merupakan sumber daya penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, dan kepuasan kerja adalah salah satu sikap kerja yang bisa meningkatkan kinerja mereka. Oleh karenanya, sekolah perlu memahami faktor-faktor yang bisa mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kompleksitas pekerjaan dan beban kerja pada stres kerja, pengaruh stres kerja pada kepuasan kerja, dan efek mediasi stres kerja pada hubungan antara kompleksitas pekerjaan dan beban kerja dengan kepuasan kerja guru. Responden studi ini adalah seratus sepuluh guru di tiga SMA di Surabaya yang dikelola oleh yayasan pendidikan XYZ di Surabaya. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan PLS-SEM. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kompleksitas pekerjaan dan beban kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap stres kerja, dan stres kerja memediasi hubungan antara kompleksitas pekerjaan dan beban kerja dengan kepuasan kerja. Berbeda dari yang dihipotesiskan, stres kerja berpengaruh positif pada kepuasan kerja. Kata kunci: kompleksitas pekerjaan, beban kerja, stres kerja, kepuasan kerja, guru
