Abstract

Elementary school age children will experience very fast development. These developments are in the form of physical development and psychological development. Inappropriate use of smartphones in children will have a negative impact on children. In this case, parenting plays a very important role because the family is the first and foremost educational institution for children. From the family environment, especially parents, children will get a moral foundation, character and personality that will be applied now and in the future. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between parenting and smartphone use by involving correlation analysis as a statistical tool. The study was carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic in Balongbendo District in Jeruklegi Village. There were 30 elementary school age children who were observed by interviewing parents and giving questionnaires. Studies show that there is a positive and significant relationship between parental parenting and smartphone use. The family has an important role in the supervision and mental development of the child's personality. With good and proper care and supervision from parents, children will avoid the negative impacts of smartphone use.

Abstract

Currently, technological developments are sophisticated. Recent human development has been complemented by rapid changes in technological progress and an increase in the variety of digital services and devices. Advances in technology have always made it easier for humans to move quickly. In addition, the results obtained are also much more. The capacity to achieve technology, diffusion of innovation, generation of knowledge and creativity are the fundamental factors needed to provide economic growth and development as well as a sustainable competitive advantage. Marketplace has developed into a form of marketplace that emphasizes convenience, speed and product diversity. The barriers of distance and space have had an effective alternative solution. Marketplace is built and developed based on customer trust. This study aims to determine the role of relationship quality, reputation and security of the Shopee marketplace on customer trust. The population of this study is aimed at customers from Shopee in Manila City in the Philippines. The sample of this study used 177 respondents. In this study, three independent variables and one dependent variable were used. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression. This study proves that the reputation and security of the marketplace have a significant effect on customer trust. Likewise, the quality of the relationship has a significant effect on customer trust.

Abstract

There are various types of beverage products that are traded in the market, such as mineral water, soft drinks, or energy drinks. One of the energy-boosting drink brands sold in Indonesia is Extra Joss. Extra Joss is the first energy drink in powder form in Indonesia. In its development, more and more energy-boosting drink brands emerged which became competitors to Extra Joss. Research was conducted to determine the effect of brand image and price on purchasing decision making. The object of research is construction workers who are active in projects that are taking place in the city of Surabaya. Sampling was done by means of purposive sampling. The researcher distributed 100 questionnaires, but the questionnaires returned to the researchers were 79 questionnaires which were used as the number of samples. Multiple linear regression analysis was used in this study. The finding shown is that brand image has a significant effect on the purchasing decision of Extra Joss energy drink. Apart from that, the decision to buy Extra Joss energy drink is also significantly influenced by price. Brand image and price have a significant effect on the purchasing decision of Extra Joss energy drink.

Abstract

The high level of dependency on students to get a job immediately after graduating from college has an impact on increasing the unemployment rate. For this reason, so that the conditions that occur can be resolved immediately, an interest in entrepreneurship is needed among students. This research was conducted to observe and analyze the entrepreneurial role model and social support in realizing entrepreneurial intentions among university students. The researcher chose Law and Social Faculty students who were studying at Sunan Giri University in Surabaya to be the research subjects. More specifically, there will be 100 students who will be selected as the research sample using the simple random sampling method. Primary data was obtained from 100 questionnaires distributed to students. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression using the SPSS program. From the studies that have been carried out, three research results are obtained, namely: (1) there is a partial significant effect of the entrepreneur's role model on student entrepreneurial intentions; (2) there is a significant effect of social support partially on students' entrepreneurial intentions; (3) there is a significant influence simultaneously on the entrepreneurial role model and social support on students' entrepreneurial interest.

Abstract

The retail industry is a highly competitively oriented market. For the consumer industry to survive, it should have the strength to compete and it focusing on consumer behavior is a primary objective. The main objective of this case study is therefore to gather understanding and discover the shopping behavior of housewives in supermarkets. This research design is a qualitative case study. It is a cross-sectional study that conducted once using the tool of one-on-one in-depth interviews. The main purpose of this study is to gather understanding and discovery of housewives' shopping behavior in supermarkets. The target participants are women who are housewives with the age range of 25-45 years old. The target respondents were selected based on convenience sampling. The coverage area is in Surabaya City by setting Super Indo as the supermarket visited by housewives. The sample size was set at 180 respondents who were taken 10 respondents in each outlet in Surabaya city. This study found that all the observed factors of the independent variables are stated to have a real role partially or simultaneity in forming the shopping behavior of housewives. Affordable supermarket location is the dominant factor that determines the behavior of housewives shopping at supermarkets.

Abstract

To create a strong country, the people in that country must be strong and solid. A strong society can be created by building a harmonious family, in Indonesia the divorce rate is increasing, especially in marriages that occur at a young age. To reduce this, it is necessary to carry out pre-marital counseling for people of marriageable age. Counseling can be done through Community Service (PkM) activities. The PkM team from Sunan Giri University in Surabaya carried out PkM activities by providing pre-marital counseling to reduce the divorce rate in Buncitan Village, Sidoarjo. There were 25 participants who took part in the extension activities. PkM activities are carried out according to plan and can run well. PkM activities are carried out to foster good relations between Sunan Giri University in Surabaya and the community. In addition, PkM activities are a form of participation in harmonious community development.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship leads to economic improvement and social advancement which is really important for the nation. This view as a force that revitalizes the economy and contributes to economic progress. Entrepreneurship in students is an interesting and relevant topic in the current situation of higher insight. Amidst the dynamic changes in the world of work, entrepreneurship has become a highly valued and needed skill. Therefore, the function of students is needed as one of the substantial to implementing entrepreneurial activities. Accordingly, the mission of this survey to recognize the effect of internal locus of control, independence, productive behavior, entrepreneurship education, and the social environment on student entrepreneurial intention. Researchers used descriptive quantitative research design and survey methods. This research is targeted at university students in Surabaya. This study involved 100 respondents and used a purposive sampling method as a data compilation technique. Research data that has been obtained from the questionnaire reactions were evaluated using multiple linear regression. The findings show that the internal locus of control has a significant influence on entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, it shows a significant influence between independence and productive behavior on entrepreneurial intentions. This also occurs in entrepreneurship education and the social environment has a significant impact on entrepreneurial intention
