Abstract

Animated films are works of art that are always in demand by the general public. Not only children, but adults also like it. The amount of public that interested in animated films has made producers compete to produce it as a business field. In the future, culture-based animation films have considerable business opportunities. This was the evident from several cultural-based animated films that attract the audience, for example Mulan's animated film about Chinese legends, Kungfu Panda about Kung Fu culture, Upin Ipin about Malaysian culture, Adit and Sopo Jarwo and Knight Kriss about Indonesian culture, and Si Uma about Balinese culture . This study aims to analyze animated films that raise cultural themes, have sustainable business opportunities. Data is taken from visual analysis, observation and in-depth interviews. Visual analysis was carried out on several animated films and articles on the internet relating to animated films that were the object of analysis. Observations and interviews were carried out on the community in order to find out their opinions regarding cultural-based animated films. This study uses a qualitative method with an interpretative qualitative approach. The theory used is the commodification theory from Faireclough. The results of the study show that some animated films that carry cultural themes are of considerable interest to the public. There are several animated films including being able to reap the highest top 10 income. Not only the culture of the local community is used as an animated film, but also outside society who want to know the culture of others. Therefore, the business opportunities for animated films that raise the theme of culture are very promising to continue to be developed in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Literacy is a system of graphical signs or visual symbols of the language that people use to communicate. Balinese script is a mother tongue for Balinese people, which is still used for the benefit of social order and religious ceremonies.For this reason, Balinese script is very important to learn and understand from an early age.But its existence is now increasingly marginalized, along with the times.In its current development, the interest of children to learn Balinese script is decreasing.One of the factors causing a reduction in children's interest in learning Balinese script is a learning system by using conventional media with lectures in class and guided by manuals or student worksheets that contain more text than illustrative illustrations, so that it becomes less interesting and boring. So that learning supporting media is needed, with Balinese Script Puzzle Game that are in accordance with the Balinese Language curriculum for grade 1-3 elementary school children.The purpose of this study was to examine the extent of the effectiveness of the Balinese Script Puzzle Game as a supporter of Balinese script learning and preservation of Balinese script for technology-based grade 1-3 elementary school children.The research method used is qualitative and quantitative methods by going through several stages, among others, beginning with observations by observing the extent to which interest in elementary school children in grades 1-3 on the Balinese Script Puzzle Game,and observe changes that occur after trying to use the Balinese Script Game Puzzle as a supporter of Balinese Script learning. The next stage is doing sampling and measuring the level of effectiveness based on the data obtained and the measurement scale.

Abstract

Dunia desain komunikasi visual tentu tidak asing dengan istilah iklan. Sejak dulu iklan merupakan objek yang menarik dan sering menjadi bahan bahasan para desainer komunikasi visual. Kemajuan zaman dan teknologi turut memberikan andil pada perkembangan jenis iklan dan media yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana menampilkan iklan. Televisi merupakan salah satu media favorit yang digunakan oleh perusahaan-perusahan untuk menampilkan iklan. Pada 5-10 tahun ke belakang iklan di televisi didominasi oleh jenis iklan spot announcement di jeda tayangan atau iklan jenis kuis sponsorship kuis. Namun dewasa ini banyak bermunculan iklan yang sekaligus tampil di dalam sebuah tayangan sinetron dalam cerita dan dialog, atau muncul sebagai objek visual yang memiliki proporsi yang cukup mendominasi dalam sebuah layout. Adanya kencenderungan perkembangan jenis iklan menjadikan fenomena ini berpeluang untuk dijadikan bahan diskusi desain. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi tayangan sinetron dan dibahas secara deskriptif kualitatif untuk menganalisa perilaku beriklan saat ini khususnya di media televisi. Hasilnya adalah pengiklan saat ini lebih tertarik menempatkan dengan jenis superimposed, dimana iklan langsung menyatu dengan tayangan sinetron sehingga penonton tidak akan melewatkannya.

Abstract

In digital marketing on social media the role of layout in digital marketing on social media plays an important aspect but not in su-re.co. However, su-re.co has not implemented a good layout, yet. This is because the layout of Instagram feeds has not arranged properly, because the company's content combines with activities, product sales, and video testimonials. Therefore, the author uses qualitative method, which is a method that examines the problem in case of case. In addition, the author provides a graphic design theory for a digital marketing. This theory will explain in detail what design theory is right to use. For the results of their own research, the authors found several sample feeds for social media content that could be applied. This aims to further develop creative ideas in designing a digital marketing on su-re.co and can be known by everyone with interesting visuals, simple, unique and varied both in providing content and explanation of activities by the company for the natures and the farmers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Covid-19 merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus yang pertama kali ditemukan di China. Pada awal tahun 2020 virus ini telah masuk ke Indonesia dan mengakibatkan krisis ekonomi dan lumpuhnya pariwisata khususnya di pulau Bali. Hal ini juga berdampak pada Desa Wisata Tenganan Dauh Tukad. Dengan ditutupnya akses masuk wisatawan luar ke Indonesia juga berdampak pada berkurangnya jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke Desa Tenganan Dauh Tukad. Untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi agar pariwisata di desa Tenganan Dauh Tukad kembali bangkit pascapandemi maka diperlukan sebuah sarana promosi yang akan digunakan untuk mempromosikan kembali desa Tenganan Dauh Tukad. Media promosi yang dirasa efektif adalah konten instagram, melihat semakin banyaknya pengguna instagram setiap tahunnnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data observasi, dokumentasi dan juga kepustakaan. Teori yang digunakan untuk menciptakan media ini adalah teori desain. Dengan terciptanya media promosi ini diharapkan akan mampu meningkatkan kembali jumlah kunjungan wisatawan asing maupun domestik ke desa wisata Tenganan Dauh Tukad sehingga ekonomi pascapandemi bisa bangkit kembali.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of visual elements in the form of illustrations with Indonesian themes and Indonesian local wisdom on the packaging of popular beverage products in the eyes of consumers, both in terms of sales and their impact on the emotional response of consumers as Indonesians. Through the use of illustrations on packaging, producers also want to convey certain messages to their consumers. Because in fact, the appearance of an attractive packaging will give a distinct impression and emotional closeness for consumers in determining their decision to buy or not to buy a product. The research method was carried out qualitatively through literature and questionnaires. The theory used in this research is packaging design theory, concerning the visual effect of packaging on consumer buying interest. In addition, the author also uses illustration theory to identify illustration techniques and Roland Barthes 'semiotic theory to find out how illustration affects consumers' emotional responses and how consumers perceive related illustrations. The result of this research is that the use of Indonesian themed illustrations on beverage product packaging can be said to increase consumer emotionality to buy products, based on eye-catching illustration factors in terms of style, selection of illustration objects, colors and themes. In addition, the packaging design with illustrations on the Indonesian theme is interesting to collect as memorabilia.

Abstract

Balinese jewelery from the royal era is still popular and has also been developed by several jewelery craftsmen, with existing and new designs and motifs, Balinese handicrafts with manuk dewata motifs and the addition of Balinese ornaments, where the manuk dewata motif has a different philosophy. Strong with Balinese Hindu culture and customs. The method used is descriptive research which aims to describe, record, analyze and interpret current conditions that occur in the field. Types and approaches are very important in the preparation of research, while the type of research used is qualitative research. Manuk Dewata itself, especially in Bali, is used as a symbol in the Ngaben ceremony because it is believed to be a spirit that conveys immortality, so Balinese craftsmen make humung jewelry designs with manuk dewata motifs with a combination of other Balinese ornaments, thus creating a work of jewelry made of bamboo made of gold and gold. silver, from the royal era until now is called and known by the manuk dewata motif. The manuk dewata motif was requested because this motif looks classic and timeless, it even looks more dignified for those who wear jewelry with this manuk dewata motif.

Abstract

Balinese script as the traditional script of the Balinese people is now increasingly being eroded by the times, especially in the field of education. Balinese script learning methods that are still conventional seem serious and monotonous and tend to get boring quickly. So we need learning support media that are more interesting and according to the needs of children aged 6-8 years. Utilizing the positive value of video Games and puzzle type Games, it is hoped that through the creation of Balinese script puzzle Games it can attract children's interest in learning. As a product in the form of a CD, packaging is needed that aims to protect, increase sales value and show the identity of the product inside. This study uses the method of collecting observational data, documentation and literature study. The design method used is Exploration, Improvisation and Formation of Alma Hawkins. This design produces a Balinese Script puzzle Game packaging that utilizes Ntal leaves as a media application to write information on the Game and add a Balinese identity to the packaging.

Abstract

Pekan Olah Raga Provinsi atau Porprov merupakan sebuah ajang kejuaraan olahraga tingkat daerah yang diselenggarakan setiap 2 tahun sekali. Pada tahun 2022 untuk pertama kalinya Porprov Bali dilaksanakan secara gotong royong. Dalam rangka Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) Bali ke XV, Gubernur Bali melaunching maskot untuk Porprov Bali XV Tahun 2022, maskot tersebut di beri nama “Curik”. Maskot “Curik” pada Porprov Bali XV sangat menarik karena visual ditampilkan secara modern tetapi tetap memperhatikan kearifan budaya lokal. Pada visual maskot menggunakan burung jalak bali atau curik putih yang merupakan hewan endemik Bali dan dipadukan dengan simbol atau benda yang erat kaitannya dengan budaya Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi dan kepustakaan. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisa makna visual adalah teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna visual baik secara denotasi maupun konotasi yang terdapat dalam maskot “Curik”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, makna pada maskot “Curik” dapat ditemukan dari objek maskot, warna, dan pakaian yang digunakan. Dari keseluruhan visual maskot mempunyai makna penuh energi, kebaikan, kalah menang, sportivitas dan semangat yang tidak pernah padam dalam meraih prestasi, dalam hal ini berkaitan dengan perhelatan acara olahraga Porprov Bali XV Tahun 2022.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID -19 yang menyebar hampir di seluruh belahan dunia tidak terkecuali Bali memiliki dampak yang begitu besar, serta mengakibatkan kepanikan dan ketakutan bagi masyarakat. Menyikapi kondisi sosial yang terjadi, pemerintah secara nasional mengambil kebijakan untuk menanggulangi penyebaran wabah virus COVID-19 ini dengan menerapkan himbauan melakukan aktivitas dari rumah dan protokol kesehatan selama menghadapi pandemi ini. Sebagai perguruan tinggi yang bermuara pada desain, Sekolah Tinggi Desain Bali juga memberikan sosialisasi tentang himbauan untuk melindungi diri dari penularan virus COVID-19 melalui pemanfaatan media desain komunikasi visual sehingga dapat mengedukasi masyarakat untuk dapat memahami dan menerapkan himbauan pencegahan tersebut secara efektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam mendesain adalah diskusi dan analisis kebutuhan media dan informasi, menentukan konsep dan eksekusi desain. Pada Perancangan flyer infografis sebagai sarana sosialisasi upaya pencegahan penularan COVID-19 menerapkan konsep Edukasi Ceria, informasi yang ditampilkan yaitu tentang protokol kesehatan saat pandemic COVID-19 dan tata cara pencucian masker kain non medis. Di tunjang oleh penerapan ilustrasi dengan gaya visual kartun dan penggunaan warna cerah seperti orange dan biru yang bertujuan untuk dapat menghasilkan desain yang memiliki informasi singkat, namun padat akan pengetahuan dengan tampilan ceria untuk menarik perhatian dan menghilangkan kesan terlalu baku atau menakutkan.
