Abstract

Animated films are works of art that are always in demand by the general public. Not only children, but adults also like it. The amount of public that interested in animated films has made producers compete to produce it as a business field. In the future, culture-based animation films have considerable business opportunities. This was the evident from several cultural-based animated films that attract the audience, for example Mulan's animated film about Chinese legends, Kungfu Panda about Kung Fu culture, Upin Ipin about Malaysian culture, Adit and Sopo Jarwo and Knight Kriss about Indonesian culture, and Si Uma about Balinese culture . This study aims to analyze animated films that raise cultural themes, have sustainable business opportunities. Data is taken from visual analysis, observation and in-depth interviews. Visual analysis was carried out on several animated films and articles on the internet relating to animated films that were the object of analysis. Observations and interviews were carried out on the community in order to find out their opinions regarding cultural-based animated films. This study uses a qualitative method with an interpretative qualitative approach. The theory used is the commodification theory from Faireclough. The results of the study show that some animated films that carry cultural themes are of considerable interest to the public. There are several animated films including being able to reap the highest top 10 income. Not only the culture of the local community is used as an animated film, but also outside society who want to know the culture of others. Therefore, the business opportunities for animated films that raise the theme of culture are very promising to continue to be developed in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

More that 2 million cases of anxiety disorder occur in Indonesia every year. The term of anxiety disorder is not common in the community due to lack of campaigne and sosialisation. It will cause severe depresion and even commit suicide if it is not treated properly. The purpose of this design is to campaigne anxiety disorder’s sympton into the community through some one point of view who experinced anxiety disorder before and providing solution to the patients through two dimention animation media. This design using the theory of principle of animation, cinematography theory, design theory, aesthetic theory, semiotic theory and campaigne theory with qualitatif research methods and produces animation media that supported by social media, poster, x-banner, booklet, tote bag, t-shirt, pin and journal book using a hand drawing & vector tehnique in custom digital art and infographic style. Media is mad in accordance with the concept calm and educative. Calm concept applied through medium colour which is a blend colour of green and blue known as the colour of anxiety disorder awareness ribbon.

Abstract

In general, every human being must face problems and trials of life. There are various kinds of problems that come in life, do not know when, where and how these problems come. In dealing with problems, humans have their own ways to overcome these problems. There are those who give up easily and some who can overcome them. In this case the role of emotional intelligence is very important. Especially at the age of adolescence sometimes difficult to control emotions in themselves, resulting in a sense of hopelessness. Therefore, it is necessary to design a media that can be used to socialize the importance of emotional intelligence in adolescent life. The results showed that the concept that was appropriately used to socialize the importance of emotional intelligence in adolescents' lives was the concept of "Emotional Spirit". This concept was chosen to fit the objectives of this socialization as well as the intended target of youth. This 3D animated story was taken based on the true story of a teenager who was able to survive for 49 days in the middle of the ocean. In order for the socialization to run effectively, supporting media such as social media, posters, packaging, t-shirts, roll-up banners, stickers, tote bags and key chains are made. Through the design of the socialization media in the form of 3D animation along with its supporting media, it is expected that the target audience, namely adolescents, can better control their emotions when facing problems.

Abstract

The animated film "Battle of Surabaya" is one of the nation's children's work that is able to win various awards, both at national and international levels. In some scenes in this animated film, there is a visual code that contains information or messages delivered to the audience (audience). Through observing several scenes, it is found that there is a meaning of the visual codes contained in the scene. This study aims to analyze the aesthetic visual codes contained in the first, middle and end scenes of the animated film "Battle of Surabaya". Data collected through observation and literature study. Theories used as analysis are semiotics and postmodern aesthetic codes. The results of this study indicate that the meaning of the visual code in the animated film scene "Battle of Surabaya" namely: in the first scene, the action or action of the Indonesian government declared independence from the Dutch East Indies government as an act of the past that needed to be made; the scene is explaining the rejection of Indonesian independence, this action as the style of an animator in the sequence before and next; the final scene depicts the action of the main character (Musa) who unites the storyline sequence of the animated film "Battle of Surabaya", one of which implements the cultural value of please help as an act of popularizing Indonesian culture.

Abstract

Animated films that are interesting and beautiful can be created if an animator or creator, and the audience understand the elements that make up an animated film. Even more so for animators or creators as creators of animated film art. The audience cannot understand the animated film being shown, if the creator himself does not understand the elements that make up the animated film. The animation, entitled Bul, is the best animated film in the 2D animated film category. Therefore, it becomes interesting to be explored or researched. This research was conducted by observing the animated film Bul. This research is a field research designed to study, and reveal how the aesthetics of an animated film Bul is formed by film-forming elements, one of which is the narrative element. The critical paradigm is used as a basis for thinking in the hope of being able to comprehensively reveal and answer the problem of narrative elements in the animated film Bul. This research uses qualitative research methods in the area of ​​art studies, which is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written words or expressions from a person and studies the behavior of the artist and the object being observed. The results showed that the narrative element which is one of the elements that form a film, especially in this case the animated film entitled Bul, has a very important role. Narrative elements consist of elements of theme, story, story structure, and character/character. Each element is interrelated, supports each other, needs and influences each other so as to create a unity that is able to create a beautiful feeling and the message can be received by the observer or the audience.

Abstract

Animasi berjudul Bul adalah karya animasi terbaik kategori film animasi 2 Dimensi dalam lomba Animafest Film Animasi di MNCTV. Animasi ini diproduksi oleh salah satu studio animasi yang ada di Bali. Studio animasi tersebut adalah Timeline Studio. Hal ini menarik untuk ditelusuri atau diteliti pada tataran estetika terutama terkait konsep dan gaya animasinya. Penelitian dimulai dari melakukan pengamatan terhadap animasi Bul. Selanjutnya dilakukan penelitian lapangan untuk mempelajari, dan mengungkap bagaimana estetika sebuah animasi Bul dibentuk dari unsur seni rupa/desain dan pembentuk film. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau ungkapan dari seseorang dan studi perilaku senimannya dan objek tertentu yang diamati. Penelitian kualitatif sebagai fundamental bergantung pada pengamatan atas objek dan manusia dalam ruang lingkup suatu kawasan tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep estetika atau pemikiran untuk dapat menciptakan tercapainya keindahan yang secara khusus dapat mempengaruhi psikologis/alam bawah sadar penonton terhadap animasi Bul diwujudkan melalui gaya film animasi. Gaya animasi sebagai salah satu konsep yang dapat menciptakan keindahan yaitu digunakan gaya limited. Animasi Bul menerapkan gaya limited dalam animasinya mengacu pada ciri-ciri animasi limited yaitu lebih banyak digunakan pada film animasi berseri di stasiun televisi, gerak animasi sederhana, mengutamakan cerita dibanding gerak animasinya, menggunakan gerak animasi berulang.

Abstract

Comics are one of the most effective promotional media because they have pictures, text and storylines. The present development of comics is not only made through conventional processes but can also be done in digital processes. This comic gain is taken to carry out the promotion process. The development of the internet today is very rapid. With the help of internet use it can allow an individual to interact with other individuals without any distance limitations. Social media is one of the developments in digital technology that makes it easy for someone to communicate with people without the distance of their location. Social media is an effective publication tool in the publication of comics that contain promotional content so that messages can be received by the wider community. Comics have various types according to their needs, and one of them is the Comic Strip. In the Comic Strip is an effective choice in carrying out a promotional activity. Stripm comics are a type of comic that only consists of a few panel images. However, when viewed in terms of its contents, this comic has revealed the idea of ​​complete content. With the advantages of Comics and social media, comic publications on social media are one of the effective choices in making a promotion.

Abstract

Kesenian Bondres merupakan seni komedian tradisional Bali yang termasuk seni tari dalam kategori tari balih-balihan atau hiburan. Dalam pertunjukan Bondres menampilkan karakter yang unik dengan memiliki ciri khas yaitu karakter yang menggunakan topeng seperti orang cacat beserta membawakan humor-humor khas Bondres yang memiliki pesan moral dalam lawakannya, oleh sebab itu bondres memiliki daya tarik tersendiri daripada pertunjukan lawak lainnya sehingga Bondres diminati oleh masyarakat. Namun dari banyaknya peminat Bondres saat ini, yang meminati hanya orang tua dan orang dewasa saja sedangkan remaja masih sedikit meminati Bondres karena lebih tertarik dengan teater-teater jaman sekarang seperti drama, animasi, kartun dan lainnya yang sangat mudah diakses melalui internet.Oleh sebab itu penulis tertarik mengangkat objek kasus ini agar remaja menjadi lebih tertarik menonton Bondres. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah metode primer (Observasi, wawancara, Kuisioner) dan Sekunder (Kepustakaan, dokumentasi, internet). Dari penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan berupa konsep yang tepat dalam perancangan ini adalah “Kebudayaan yang Menghadirkan Keceriaan” yang telah melalui tahapan brainstorming, dalam merancang animasi sebagi upaya menarik minat remaja terhadap Bondres dengan cara Bondres dikemas melalui sebuah animasi dengan tampilan, alur cerita, dan humor-humor yang disukai oleh remaja, dan untuk mempromosikan animasi diperlukan beberapa media pendukung berupa, Video teaser, Sosial Media, Poster, X-banner, T-shirt, Totebag, Stiker, Feed Instagram.

Abstract

Kehamilan adalah suatu hal yang penting, terdapat anjuran-anjuran yang perlu ditaati agar mencegah terjadinya hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan, dalam hal ini yaitu stunting pada anak nantinya. Stunting merupakan kondisi yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan gizi kronis terutama pada periode 1000 hari pertama kehidupan (1000 HPK). Kondisi tersebut adalah pada saat bayi memiliki panjang atau tinggi badan yang kurang jika dibandingkan dengan umurnya. Stunting berdampak buruk terhadap perkembangan fisik, motorik, serta kemampuan kognitif anak. Upaya preventif perlu dilakukan untuk menekan kasus stunting, salah satunya adalah mengedukasi ibu-ibu hamil berkaitan dengan upaya pencegahan stunting melalui media majalah dan flipbook yang dikemas dengan visualisasi yang menarik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan edukasi diri bagi ibu hamil mengenai bahaya stunting dan cara pencegahannya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey, tepatnya dengan Kepala Desa Kukuh, serta pihak yang berkecimpung di dunia kesehatan. Hasil dari survey tersebut seperti informasi tentang kasus stunting yang pernah terjadi di Desa Kukuh, perlu diberikan perhatian khusus lebih, hal itu disolusikan berupa majalah digital dan flipbook. Hasil konsep desain majalah yang ditunjukkan sebagai prototipe pertama dan menguji keefektifan medianya kepada satu atau lebih target audiens juga didapat dari survey. Dari survey dan penyelesaian media survey, masyarakat khususnya ibu hamil menjadi lebih memahami dan sadar akan bahaya Stunting sekaligus juga meningkatkan minat baca tentang cara pencegahan stunting oleh media yang ditawarkan.

Abstract

Budaya yang berkembang di wilayah Mandalika merupakan aset mahal dalam mengembangkan pariwisata dengan pendekatan storynomics tourism. Adanya hal ini, menyebabkan Mandalika dicanangkan sebagai kawasan destinasi prioritas oleh Kemenparekraf/Baparenkraf RI. Ditambah lagi dengan adanya keberadaan Sirkuit Mandalika kini menyebabkan Mandalika memperoleh status Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus. Namun muncul masalah menjamurnya gerai-gerai kerajinan khas Lombok di sekitar Sirkuit Mandalika, yang menyebabkan kondisi kumuh (ghetto). Oleh karenanya, peneliti dan pihak ITDC melakukan kolaborasi dalam kegiatan matching fund, untuk merancang gerai-gerai kerajinan tersebut agar lebih tertata dan estetis menggunakan pendekatan storynomics tourism. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu tahap inspirasi, tahap gagasan, dan tahap implementasi. Hasilnya narasi dalam pendekatan storynomics tourism telah diimplementasikan ke dalam rancangan interior di kawasan gerai kerajinan dan souvenir. Penggunaan identitas lokal seperti bentuk lumbung, bentuk dan warna nyale, motif songket Subahnale, peresean, motif anyaman ketak dan rotan, bentuk cupu, hingga kisa Puteri Mandalika, berhasil dimplementasikan ke dalam elemen-elemen ruang dan massa bangunan.
