Abstract

Islam sebagai suatu agama, memiliki ajaran yang diakui lebih sempurna serta komprehensif dibandingkan dengan agama-agama lainnya. Islam tidak hanya mengatur cara mendapatkan kebahagiaan hidup di akhirat, ibadah dan penyerahan diri kepada Allah saja, melainkan juga mengatur cara mendapatkan kebahagiaan hidup di dunia, termasuk di dalamnya mengatur masalah pendidikan. Sumber untuk mengatur kehidupan dunia dan akhirat tersebut adalah Alqur’an dan Assunnah. Sebagai sumber ajaran, Alqur’an telah dibuktikan oleh para peneliti ternyata menaruh perhatian yang besar terhadap masalah pendidikan dan pengajara Hal ini jelas memperlihatkan bahwa Islam sebagai agama yang ajaran-ajarannya bersumber pada Alqur’an dan al Hadist sejak awal telah menancapkan revolusi di bidang pendidikan dan pengajaran. Langkah yang ditempuh Alqur’an ini ternyata amat strategis dalam upaya mengangkat martabat kehidupan manusia. Kini di akui dengan jelas bahwa pendidikan merupakan jembatan yang menyeberangkan orang dari keterbelakangan menuju kemajuan, dari kehinaan menuju kemuliaan, serta dari ketertindasan menjadi merdeka.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims 1) To determine the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children aged 4-5 years prior to the application of playing Puzzle hours in PAUD Bunga Kiambang Sail Pekanbaru, 2) To determine the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children aged 4-5 years after the application of playing Puzzle hours in PAUD Bunga Kiambang Sail Pekanbaru, 3) To determine the effect of the application of playing Puzzle hours of the ability to know the symbol of the number of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Bunga Kiambang Sail Pekanbaru. This type of research used in this research is the experimental approach a study that sought influence of certain variables on other variables in strictly controlled conditions. The research sample is graders B consisting of 15 people, 7 boys and 8 girls. Collecting data using observation and documentation. Based on the survey results revealed that 1) The ability to recognize ability emblem number of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Bunga Kiambang Sail Pekanbaru before treatment is given in the form of playing Puzzle hours is low, 2) The ability to recognize ability emblem number of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Bunga Kiambang Sail Pekanbaru after treatment is given in the form of playing Puzzle hours have increased and relatively high, 3) Play Puzzle hours have a significant impact on the ability of the symbol of the ability to know the number of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Bunga Kiambang Sail Pekanbaru. It can be seen that there are differences related to increase the child's ability to recognize the emblem of numbers before and after treatment, 4) Play Puzzle hours have amounted to 37.78% influence on the ability of the symbol of the ability to know the number of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Bunga Kiambang Sail Pekanbaru.Keywords: Play Puzzle hours, Symbol Numbers

Abstract

The study is look at the effect of various doses of the chemical properties of organic materials Andisol, growth and production of wheat. This study was conducted in March to June 2013 in the village Tunyang, Timang Gajah, Bener Meriah province of Aceh and continued in Soil Chemistry Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, Unsyiah, Darussalam Banda Aceh. This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with 10 treatments and 3 replications. experiments conducted in this study were: control, manure 10 tons ha-1, manure 20 tons ha-1, manure 30 tons ha-1, compost 10 tons ha-1, compost 20 tons ha-1, compost 30 tons ha-1, 10 tons of manure ha-1 + compost 10 tons ha-1, manure 20 tons ha-1+ compost 10 tons ha-1, 20 tons of manure ha-1+ compost 20 tons ha-1. These results indicate that increase of organic material does not change the status of pH, C-organic, N-total and P-total planted wheat Andisol. increase of organic materials can improve status P-available and P-retention in Andisol. Highest result the addition of organic material encountered increase manure 30 tons ha-1.

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining kinds of soil amendements that increase fertility on peat soil.  The research was conducted in Soil Chemistry Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh from December 2013 to March 2014.  The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 8 treatments and three replications. Kinds of soil amandements evaluated were: control, mineral soil, sawdust, lime, mineral soil + sawdust, mineral soil + lime, sawdust + lime, sawdust + lime+ mineral soil.  The result showed that the amendements increased pH(H2O), P-available, base saturation and decreased Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Sawdust + lime had the highest ability to increased P-avaiable. Lime had the highest ability to increased base saturation. Sawdust + mineral soil had the highest ability to decreased CEC.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to find out: (1) whether or not there is any significant difference in students’ reading comprehension achievement after they are taught through K-W-L strategy with twin-texts and (2) whether or not there is any significant difference in students’ reading comprehension achievement between the students who are taught through K-W-L strategy with twin-texts and those who are not. The sample of this research was 64 tenth graders of one high school in Palembang, which were divided into control group and experimental group; each group consisted of 32 students. The technique of selecting the sample was purposive sampling. The data were obtained through reading comprehension test and were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The result of this study showed that (1) the mean difference in posttest and pretest of experimental group was 12.29 and p value <0.05. It means that there was a significant difference in reading comprehension achievement after the students were taught through K-W-L strategy with twin-texts, (2) the mean difference between posttest of both experimental group and control group was 11.688 and p value <0.05. It means that there was a significant difference in reading comprehension achievement between the students who were taught through K-W-L with twin-texts and those who were not. In conclusion, teaching reading comprehension through K-W-L strategy with twin-texts was effective to enhance students’ reading comprehension achievement.

Abstract

Problem in this research was students achievement as still low. In this application of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share students were more motivated to learn in a group while learning about a concept or topic, in a happiness atmosphere, in addition to the training accuration too, precision and accuracy as well as speed. This research is classroom action research (CAR) with research subjects the Student at class V SD Negeri 20 Pekanbaru 2015/2016. The purpose of this research is to improve students achievement at mathematics the students class V SD Negeri 20 Pekanbaru with the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share implementation. The data in this research is the quantitative data obtained from the data on the activities of teacher and students through observation and data test students knowledge and understanding through daily test. Results of this research showed that the average percentage of all teacher in the first cycle was 72,3% (Category: Good), the second cycle was 83,4% (Category:Very Good) and the third cycle is 93,1% (Category: Very Good). While the percentage of students learning activity in the first cycle was 72,3% (Category: Good), the second cycle was 81,9% (Category: Very Good) and the third cycle to 90,3% (Category: Very Good). Average students learning outcomes in basic score is 55,83 increased to 68,63 in the first cycle, increasing again to 83,3 in the second cycle and increased to 86,6 in the third cycle. While the classical completeness in the second cycle and the third cycle is reached. This means that the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) implementation can increase students achievement at Mathematics in class V SD Negeri 35 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study proposed to investigate the phenomena of code switching which refers to the use of English and Indonesian as a medium of instruction used by the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in their classroom discourse. It depicted the attitudes of EFL teachers and their students towards the patterns, functions, and influence of code switching in two EFL classes in Indonesia. The data were collected from classroom observation, interview, and questionnaire which explored the occurrence of code switching during the teaching and learning process as well as the teachers and students’ perception on its use in the classroom context. The results indicated that the switching between English and Indonesian in the EFL classrooms was very natural since it also became a tool to show the cultural, social, and communicative aspects of each language despite the amount of its use which varied greatly from teacher to teacher due to their students’ English competence.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to find out whether or not: (1) there were any significant correlation between test anxiety and English mastery and (2) significant contribution of test anxiety on English mastery. The sample of this study was 190 eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Belitang which was selected by convenience sampling. The data of English mastery were collected through general English test while the test anxiety level were determined by Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI). The data analysis used Pearson Product Moment and regression analysis in SPSS 24 version. Based on the result of correlation analysis, it showed that (1) there was negative significant correlation between test anxiety and English Mastery (r-obtained -0.453 and ρ- value 0.00) and (2) there was 20.5% contribution of test anxiety on English mastery.

Abstract

“Lapis Pondasi Agregat tanpa penutup aspal” is a strong layer structure because it receives a direct load of vehicles above the surface. In general, the making of access roads for mining sites does not use pavement with asphalt. One of the materials for mining pavement generally uses the mine's surface excavation using a clay stone as an addition to a mixture or filler for the aggregate layer structure. Clay stone is a sedimentary rock that is strong if it is in the soil and will become soft when submerged in water. “Lapis Pondasi Agregat tanpa penutup aspal” is dominated by fine particles which is a maximum diameter of 19 mm making it difficult to adjust the gradation composition. So to get the ideal gradation of “Lapis Pondasi Agregat tanpa penutup aspal” composition, it is necessary to do Research on “Lapis Pondasi Agregat tanpa penutup aspal” on Middle Border Gradations Using Clay Stone". The purpose of this study was to determine the value of the mixture composition between clay stone and broken stone, the value of PI content (plastic index) and CBR value “Lapis Pondasi Agregat tanpa penutup aspal” must meet the requirements of material properties in accordance with the General Revised 3rd Edition of Bina Marga specifications, the gradation consists of material passed the filter ¾, maximum liquid limit value of 35%, minimum plasticity index value of 4% and maximum 15 %, clumps of clay and fragile granules of at least 0% and a maximum of 5%, coarse aggregate abrasion is a maximum of 40% and has a minimum CBR (California Bearing Ratio) value of 60%. From the results of this study, it can be seen the mixture composition between clay stone and stone, PI value (plastic index) and CBR value from the gradation of the middle boundary of the “Lapis Pondasi Agregat tanpa penutup aspal”. The composition of the mixture of clay stone and aggregate rock broke on the middle boundary gradation, ie 1-2% broken stone by 20%, 1-1 broken stone by 33%, stone ash by 35%, and clay stone by 12%. Based on the results of the examination of the liquid limit and plastic limit, the Plastic Index (PI) value of the clay stone was 35.696% and for the combination of the mixture of broken stone with an additional 12% clay stone was 13.941%. Based on the results of laboratory density and CBR examinations, it was found that the design CBR value of broken stone aggregate was 73%, the clay stone was 1,150% and for the combination of clay stone and aggregate rock was broken by 64%.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to design the Creative Social Emotional Learning English (CSELE) classroom model in one of the district schools in South Sumatera, Indonesia. This model was proposed due to a growing awareness among educators and policymakers about the importance of social and emotional development for successful student. Based on the ADDIE model, the CSELE model is designed to include three steps: (1) the learning objective statement and need analysis, (2) the class strategy design, and (3) the class implementation and evaluation. The CSELE model focuses on integrating the efforts to support Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in the English as A Foreign Language (EFL) classroom context. This model involves the process of integrating the materials from the Indonesian 2013 national curriculum and creative teaching procedures for developing the students? social emotional competencies, which include self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. The findings showed that the CSELE model has demonstrated positive effects on the students? social emotional competence, academic motivation, and classroom climate. However, more qualitative and quantitative studies should be conducted for further implementation of this model. Keywords:  Social Emotional Learning (SEL), English as a Foreign Language (EFL), creative, teaching and learning
