Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model (PBL) on the learning outcomes of the fundamental laws of chemistry and magnitude of the effect size. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Buko using the experimental design method, namely the nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of class X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Buko students. The sample consisted of two classes which were selected using the random intact class technique with 25 people each. Data collection techniques using pretest and posttest. The test results of the hypothesis t test with a significant level of α = 0.05, the value of tcount = 24.8 is greater than ttable = 2.010. Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This study concluded that there was an increase in learning outcomes between the PBL class and the conventional class with an effect size of 92.79%.

Abstract

The many theories, formulas, and elements that must be memorized make chemistry subjects considered complicated especially if it is not accompanied by the selection of an appropriate learning model, it certainly affects the student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Learning Cycle 7E learning model on buffer material on the learning outcomes of Class XI students of SMA N 2 Langowan by using independent variables (Learning Cycle 7E) and dependent variables (learning outcomes). The research sample is students of Class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 in SMA N 2 Langowan, the sample is determined by the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research method used is Quasi Experiment Design with Posttest-only Control Group Design research design. Testing of research instruments (post test) consists of validity and reliability tests. Data analysis method uses homogeneity test, normality test and t-test. Based on the analysis of the data it was found that the sample was homogeneous and normally distributed, t-test data at the real level (α) = 0.05 was obtained tcount = 9,489 and ttable = 2,042. Because tcount> ttable, reject H0 and H1 are accepted. Based on the results of the study concluded that there was an influence of the Learning Cycle 7E learning model on the buffer solution material on the learning outcomes of Class XI students of SMA N 2 Langowan with an average learning outcome in the experimental class 80.00 and the control class 35.59.

Abstract

The impact of the use of refined petroleum on potential pollution in mangrove allows the presence of lead metal (Pb) in the Sangihe Islands Restoration and Learning Center and the use of mangroves in the Sangihe Islands Restoration and Mangrove Learning Center as a place of learning has not been carried out to the full. Therefore, in this regard, a study was carried out by analyzing Pb metals in sediments, Gastropod shells and Bivalvia shells in the research subsystem zone of the Sangihe Islands Restoration and Mangrove Learning Center which were then designed into learning designs using a model of problem based learning. The research method used is an exploratory method. Pb metal analysis was performed using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer instrument resulting in an average Pb metal in sediments was 0.402 ppm, in Bivalvia shells was 0.04283 ppm and Gastropods shells was 0.0654 ppm. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the presence of Pb metal in sediments, Bivalvia shells and Gastropod shells then yields four main questions in the learning design with Sub-Impacts of the Use of Petroleum using the problem based learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk LKS praktikum berbasis pendekatan saintifik dan mengetahui dampaknya pada hasil belajar khususnya materi sifat larutan penyangga dengan melihat seberapa banyak siswa yang mencapai atau melampaui KKM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan di kelas XI IPA 5 SMAN 1 Tondano. Berdasarkan hasil rekapitulasi, LKS praktikum berbasis pendekatan saintifik dinyatakan valid dengan nilai sebesar 83,8%. Dilihat dari respon siswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar LKS dinyatakan praktis dengan nilai berturut-turut sebesar 88,17% dan 92,98%. Dampak penggunaan LKS terhadap hasil belajar siswa adalah sebagian besar siswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan siswa pada uji coba kelompok besar telah melampaui KKM yang sudah ditetapkan dengan nilai ketuntasan yang diperoleh berturut-turut sebesar 66,67% dan 89,47%. Pengujian hipotesis untuk hasil belajar menggunakan uji t pihak kiri diperoleh nilai thitung(8,517) > ttabel(1,734) yang berarti terima H0 atau tolak H1. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS praktikum berbasis pendekatan saintifik yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tujuannya mencari tahu efektivitas model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap hasil belajar pada materi laju reaksi di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Kakas. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti gunakan metode kuantitatif pre eksperiment dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. di awal pembelajaran siswa diberikan pretest sesudah itu diterapkan model pembelajaran RADEC serta pada akhir pembelajaran siswa diberikan posttest. Data penelitian ini yakni kelas XI MIPA 1 yang diambil secara acak yakni melalui teknik cluster random sampling dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang. Adapun untuk analisis data penelitian ini yang digunakan sebagai uji prasyarat yakni uji normalitas. Sesuai hasil penelitian yg diperoleh melalui hasil belajar (pretest-posttest) menunjukkan bahwa sampel tersebut berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji paired sample t-test di taraf nyata α= 0,05 didapatkan thitung = 24.364, ttabel= 2.059. Jadi, karena thitung > ttabel, bisa disimpulkan buat tolak H0 dan terima H1. Dari hasil perhitungan N-gain Score di dapatkan nilai = 0,564 yang tergolong kriteria sedang serta persentase efektivitas =56.4% yang termasuk kriteria cukup efektif. Oleh karena itu, diberikan kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC efektif terhadap hasil belajar pada materi laju reaksi di SMA Negeri 1 Kakas.

Abstract

The Honey-Alonso model consists of 4 LS concepts namely Active Style (AS), Reflective Style (RS), Theoretical Style (TS), and Pragmatic Style (PS). The LS questionnaire consists of 80 statements, each LS has 20 statements. Test the validity of the instrument with SPSS 21 on the Scale – Reliability Analysis menu and the output is shown in the Item – Total Statistics – Corrected Item-Total Correlation table.The results of 58 respondents obtained AS = 9 (45%), TS = 18 (90%), RS = 13 (65%), and PS = 13 (65%) with a consistent reliability coefficient. The assessment is based on the total individual score for each LS and is converted to a z-score using the NORMDIST excel formula. In the range of normal distribution values are identified in 5 categories namely Very Good (VG), Good (G), Enough (E), Less (L), and Very Poor (VP). The results of the assessment are a combination of 17 typical learning styles. There are 41 respondents who have a strong learning style and 17 respondents who have a weak learning style. Learning styles need to be known by students as early as possible so they can improve it. A strong learning style can increase their learning achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine student learning outcomes using the concept map formation strategy on chemical bonding material by comparing the average student learning outcomes of the experimental group using concept map formation and the control group using conventional methods. This research is an experimental study of two classes with a true experimental research design in the form of a posttest only control design. Samples were taken non-randomly, namely class X IPA 3 as the experimental class and X IPA 5 as the control class, with 30 students each. The average learning outcome of the experimental class is 87.12 and the average learning outcome of the control class is 81.84. Data for hypothesis testing is data obtained from posttest. Based on the one tailed hypothesis test at the significant level = 0.05, the value of tcount = 5.9967 and ttable of 2.001. The value of tcount> ttable, then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, this result shows that there is a difference in the average student learning outcomes from the experimental class and the control class, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of concept map formation on the average student learning outcomes in the chemical bonding material in class X. at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano.
