Abstract

ow competence in English for the students of Non English native speakers has been crucial so far for the teachers in language teaching in Indonesia. This study attempts to explore students ‗motivation in learning English at STIE Perbanas Surabaya. This is a qualitative research and a case study. This study analyzed the data by means of a descriptive analysis. This method was chosen to describe the qualitative data taken from the students at STIE Perbanas Surabaya who were taking English subject. The data were collected using questionnaire. Some of the students were also interviewed in depth to triangualize the data related to their motivation in learning English. It was found that there are two types of motivation by the students of STIE Perbanas in learning English: intrinsic and extrinsic. They agreed (78%) that they are studying English because it is a compulsory subject in this college. Besides that, they have several factors of motivation affecting the students‘ learning English as foreign language such as local education system, attitudes to the target language, and teacher factor.

Abstract

Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sedatigede 1 dan 2 terletak di Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang ditetapkan untuk mengimplementasikan kurikulum K-13, namun kendala terbesar yang sedang dihadapi sekolah ini adalah kemampuan guru-guru masih terbatas dan keterbatasan sarana prasarana khususnya buku ajar atau sumber bacaan bagi siswa didik.  Kondisi lain yang dihadapi adalah terbatasnya Karya Tulis Ilmiah yang berupa penelitian tindakan kelas, buku ajar, artikel dan karya tulis lainnya yang disusun oleh guru-guru.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat (IbM) yang dilakukan berupa pelatihan artikel ilmiah, pendampingan penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah, pelatihan publikasi yang diikuti guru-guru SDN, penyediaan sarana dan prasarana,serta penerbitan Karya Tulis Ilmiah yang ber-ISBN. Hasil kegiatan IbM menunjukan bahwa peranserta dan dukungan mitra dalam aktivitas penulisan artikel sangat tinggi. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan keterlibatan Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Sidoarjo yang ikut menghadiri dan membuka acara pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah yang dihadiri 103 guru SD dari 10 Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Sedati Kecamatan Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Jumlah artikel atau karya tulis ilmiah yang dihasilkan oleh para guru adalah sejumlah 29 artikel. Jumlah ini telah melampaui target awal, sebanyak 16 artikel.Keyword : Karya Tulis Ilmiah

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the quality attributes affect the quality of the audit clientsatisfaction. The primary data were taken through questionnaires using non probabilitysampling with convenience sample technique. The sample being processed consists of 37 respondentsthat financial managers of companies already involved in services, trades and industries.The statistical analysis is OLS (Ordinary Least Square) using SPSS version 17.0.The results of this study concluded that audit quality attributes are formed by the attributes ofexperience in audit, understanding industry customer to respond to the needs of the clientcomplying with common rules, the attitude of care, strong commitment to quality, audit firm,leadership participation doing work field properly, the participation of the audit committee,high ethical and not easily to believe simultaneously and partially are not influential significantlytoward the customer satisfaction. In this case, such finding is in terms of significancelevel each of audit quality has significance level above 0.05 or 5 percent.

Abstract

Sebuah desa yang bernama Tambak Oso berada di Kecamatan Sedati, Kabupaten Sidoarjo merupakan daerah tambak. Di sebelah utaranya, daerah ini merupakan perbatasan dengan Kota Surabaya. Di desa ini pula, terdapat sebuah UMKM yang cukup besar yaitu UMKM “Dua Bersaudara” yang merupakan UMKM pindahan dari daerah Mojokerto. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan pembuatan snack stick krispi/kering dengan bahan baku dasar berupa tepung, dan pelatihan pencatatan akuntansi secara sederhana berbasis Pernyataan Standard Akuntansi Keuangan Entitas Mikro Kecil Menengah (PSAK EMKM). Metode  pengabdian yang dilakukan berupa pelatihan dan  memberikan sharing knowledge terkait pencatatan akuntansi secara sederhana. Ringkasan hasil dari kegiatan abdimas ini adalah : memberikan pelatihan pembuatan snack stick kering dengan bantuan seorang Pelatih dan dilakukan pendampingan sehingga bisa proses sendiri dengan menggunakan cetakan yang diberikan oleh tim abdimas. Selain itu memberikan sharing knowledge yaitu memberikan siklus atau sistematika pencatatan akuntansi secara sederhana dan menggunakannya secara manual dalam pencatatan transaksi. Sebagai saran yang diusulkan, bahwa program abdimas ini masih bisa dilanjutkan untuk program berikutnya, terutama terkait dengan pencatatan akuntansi khususnya pencatatan akuntansi antara kantor pusat dan kantor cabang. Abstract

The study consists of two parts. The first is to describe the moves, the language function, the most dominant language function, and verbs of process function in the abstracts. The second is to explain how the linguistic elements (grammatical categories), three modalities (certain, probable, and possible), and the non-linguistic elements support the rhetorical and logical moves and the language functions operating in the abstracts. As it is a genre analysis of international conference paper abstracts, the data were taken from the specific discourse community of international conference paper abstracts of SEAAIR conference. Theoretically, this study contributes to a fuller understanding of research on genre of international conference paper abstracts, particularly written by the discourse community of SEAAIR.

Abstract

Take a look at from the current situation, drinking a cup of coffee in a coffee shop becomes a living style trend in society. Not only teenagers experience enjoyable and comfort there, but also adult people feel the same too. This phenomenon are happening right now. Seeing this situation, it would be better if the activity of drinking coffee that was liked by the general public could be a way to overcome boredom in learning English, especially in speaking skills. However, not all students can get these facilities due to economic factors. They are called "Underprivileged Students". So, with this activity, it is hoped that it can help disadvantaged students so that they can get additional English education. The ranking shows that the English ability of the people in Indonesia is in the very low category. Without exception, teenagers or students in Surabaya. Especially those who experience this problem are underprivileged students, because they only get education through formal schools which are only carried out in class or online so they are less effective. As stated in the sub-chapter description of partner problems, there are solutions to overcome problems with partners. One of the creative ideas that can be done is to learn English at the Coffee Shop. This activity will take place through 4 stages, the first is pre-activity, the second is the general stage which includes the inauguration of the activity, the third is the core of the activity, and the fourth is the evaluation of the activity.

Abstract

The era of the millennial generation is an era where children quickly adapt to technology and digital media, both in everyday life and in the learning process. Parents of millennial generation children must have excellent digital literacy skills so that they can accompany children to learn according to their times. The concern is whether this digital technology can be used properly or will create new, more extreme problems in children's lives. Children learn digital media with parental assistance, but in reality, many parents are careless and let their children play digital media, namely smartphones freely without supervision, because parents are busy working or do not have time to accompany digitally literate children. So from this problem, it is necessary to give understanding to parents that the importance of parental assistance in the process of digital literacy children. Many parents complain that their children become aggressive, angry, crybaby and want to play their own smartphone without supervision. The content that is seen turns out to be a lot that is less educational and has a negative effect. According to Mustofa (2019), there are nine parts that parents need to understand when literacy is social networking, transliteration, maintaining privacy, managing digital identity, creating content, organizing and sharing content, reusing/repurposing content, filtering and selecting content, self broadcasting. Furthermore, the digital literacy process for children can be taught through several stages, namely: 1) digital literacy movement in the family 2) digital literacy in the school literacy movement 3) digital literacy movement in society (Mustofa, 2019). Abstrak: Zaman generasi milenial adalah zaman dimana anak-anak cepat beradaptasi dengan teknologi dan media digital, baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari maupun dalam prses pembelajaran. Orangtua dari anak generasi milenial harus memiliki kemampuan berliterasi digital dengan sangat baik agar dapat mendampingi anak belajar sesuai zamannya. Hal yang menjadi kekhawatiran adalah apakah teknologi digital ini dapat digunakan dengan baik atau akan membuat permasalahan baru yang lebih ekstrim dalam kehidupan anak.  Gencarnya tren literasi digital pada anak usia dini menyebabkan orangtua harus up to date dalam melakukan kegiatan literasi digital. Anak-anak juga harus dapat beradaptasi dengan kondisi tersebut. Anak-anak  belajar media digital harus dengan pendampingan orangtua, namun pada kenyataanya, banyak orangtua banyak yang lengah dan membiarkan anaknya bermain media digital yaitu smartphone dengan bebas tanpa pengawasan dengan alasan orangtua sibuk bekerja atau tidak ada waktu mendampingi anak berliterasi digital. Maka dari permaslaahn tersebut perlu diberikan pemahaman pada orangtua bahwa pentingnya pendampingan orangtua dalam proses anak berliterasi digital. Banyak orangtua yang mengeluhkan anaknya menjadi pribadi agresif, pemarah, cengeng dan semaunya sendiri saat bermain smartphone sendirian tanpa pengawasan. Konten yang dilihat ternyata banyak yang kurang mendidik dan berefek negatif. Menurut Mustofa (2019) Ada sembilan bagian yang perlu dipahami orangtua saat berliterasi adalah social networking, transliterasy, maintaining privasi, managing digital identity, creating content, organizing and sharing content, reusing/repurposing content, filtering and selecting content, self broadcasting. Selanjutnya Proses literasi digital terhadap anak dapat diajarkan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: 1) gerakan literasi digital di dalam keluarga 2) literasi digital dalam gerakan literasi sekolah 3) gerakan literasi digital di dalam masyarakat (Mustofa,2019).
