Abstract

SAVI kepanjangan dari Somatis, Auditori, Visual, dan Intelektual merupakan sebuah pendekatan dalam pembelajaran yang diharapkan mampu memberikan kontribusi yang baik dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan penalaran matematik serta kemandirian belajar siswa SMP. Dalam pendekatan SAVI seluruh indera dipergunakan dalam belajar. Kemampuan mendengar, membaca, menyimak, merefleksi diri, mengatakan sesuatu, melakukan tindakan, dan mempergunakan intelektual merupakan bagian penting dari pendekatan SAVI. Dengan kemampuan tersebut, akan memudahkan siswa dalam mengkomunikasikan matematika, menggunakan daya nalarnya sehingga mudah difahami dan akhirnya akan menumbuhkan rasa kemandirin belajar yang tinggi.Kata Kunci : Pendekatan SAVI, Komunikasi Matematis, Penalaran Matematis, Kemandirian Belajar SAVI stands for Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual is an approach to learning that is expected to give a good contribution in an effort to improve communication skills and mathematical reasoning, the independence of junior high students. In all senses SAVI approach used in the study. Listening skills, reading, listening, reflection, say something, take action, and use the intellectual is an important part of the SAVI approach. Abstract

Matematika dan budaya memiliki kaitan yang sangat dekat. Salah satu hasil dari budaya adalah pakaian yang digunakan sehari – hari. Proses dalam membuat pakaian memerlukan keterampilan yang memuat konsep matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi konsep matematika yang ada dalam aktivitas masyarakat dalam membuat pakaian sehari – hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi.  Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Bandung Kulon Kota Bandung karena terdapat masyarakat yang bekerja sebagai penjahit.  Subjek penelitian dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat konsep matematika dalam aktivitas membuat pakaian sehari – hari, seperti : logika, pengukuran, skala, operasi hitung bilangan, simetri lipat dan geometri.

Abstract

The object of this research is to understand the strategic competence of the students in the parallel materials and linear equations of one variable in the SMPN 3 Karawang Barat in solving the story quiz. The eighth-graders of SMPN 3 Karawang Barat are the subject of this report. It is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. A method for data collection is the strategic competence test. The student's assessments are scored and the problem analysis is carried out to understand the markers of a strategic mathematical skill that requires the ability to understand the situation and conditions of a problem, to choose an acceptable presentation to help solve the problem. Research indicates that the student category already able to fill all of the indicators of mathematical strategic competence is 18.9%, the student who has been able to fill some indicators is 67.6% and the student who has not yet been able to fill all indicators is 13.5%. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan jenis dan faktor kesalahan siswa ditinjau berdasarkan teori Newman menggunakan soal kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis pada topik bangun ruang sisi datar. Pendekatan yang digunakan penelitian ini kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih dari SMP Negeri yang ada di Kabupaten Karawang pada kelas VIII, dengan jumlah 20 orang ditetapkan dengan hasil analisis tes soal esai kemampuan berpikir kritis dan dipilih 5 orang untuk diwawancarai. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes soal esai kemampuan berpikir kritis, wawancara, dan dokumetasi. Data hasil tes dan tanya jawab akan dianalisis berdasarkan teknik analisis data yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) pada tahap kesalahan membaca soal sebanyak 46%, (2) kesalahan memahami soal sebanyak 62%, (3) kesalahan transformasi soal sebanyak 57%, (4) kesalahan keterampilan proses sebanyak 67%, dan (5) kesalahan menulis jawaban akhir sebesar 77%. Faktor penyebab adalah siswa tidak teliti dalam membaca soal, tidak memahami materi, tidak menguasai materi dan lainnya.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan dan mengaplikasikan inovasi teknologi dalam bidang pertanian, yaitu alat deteksi kesuburan tanah. Peserta yang dilibatkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu perwakilan aparat desa, petani dan para pemuda Karang Taruna. Rangkaian kegiatan ini meliputi 3 tahapan yaitu: Tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaaan dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap persiapan meliputi perizinan dan persiapan peserta serta persiapan pemateri. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi  pembukaan, pemaparan mengenai alat deteksi kesuburan tanah dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab peserta yang hadir, kemudian mempraktekan cara menggunakan alat deteksi tersebut, serah terima benih beserta tanaman dan alat deteksi untuk dimanfaatkan dan diaplikasikan dimasyarakat. Pada tahap evaluasi, peserta mengisi kuesioner yang telah disediakan, hasil kuesioner yaitu meliputi: aspek presentasi yang disampaikan pemateri memiliki nilai 73%, aspek atensi yang disampaikan oleh pemateri bernilai 76%, aspek komprehensif bernilai 86%, dan aspek hasil dengan nilai 84%. Serta aspek kognitif bernilai 80%, aspek afektif 87% dan aspek konatif 84%. Maka rata-rata semua aspek yaitu bernilai 82%. Kata kunci: pertanian; kesuburan tanah. ABSTRACTCommunity service aims to socialize and apply technological innovations in agriculture, that is a soil fertility detection tool. Participants involved in this service activity were representatives of village officials, farmers and youth from the Youth Organization. This series of activities includes 3 stages, namely: the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The preparation stage includes licensing and preparation of participants as well as the preparation of the presenters. The implementation stage includes opening, explaining about soil fertility detection tools, followed by discussion and questions and answers from the participants who attended. Then practice how to use the detection tool, hand over the seeds and plants and the detection tool to be used and applied in the community.  For activity evaluation materials, the results obtained from the questionnaires that have been filled in by the activity participants are: the presentation aspect explained by the speaker has a value of 73%. the attention aspect is delivered by the speaker was 76%. comprehensive aspect  has a value 86%, and the results aspect with a value of 84%. And the cognitive aspect has a value of 80%. 87% affective aspects and 84% conative aspects. Then the average of all aspects is worth 82%. Keywords: agriculture; soil fertility.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mathematics anxiety and learning motivation on students' mathematical connection abilities. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Cikampek class VII 9. In the selection of research samples using the cluster random sampling technique. With the method of Correlational research type of regression, the data used are quantitative data obtained from the inquiry questionnaire and learning motivation and mathematical connection ability test questions. Data processing techniques used in this study are using multiple linear regression. In this study quantitative data processing was performed using IBM SPSS 21.0 software for windows. The results of this study obtained a regression equation (Y=-58,623+0,678X1+0,359X2) which is linear with a determination coefficient of 30.3%, meaning that about 69.7% is explained outside of the regression equation. Thus, it was found that mathematics anxiety and learning motivation significantly influence students' mathematical connection abilities.

Abstract

Learning mathematics by understanding mathematical concepts is very important, with students understanding mathematical concepts will help problems in mathematics, even problems in everyday life. This study aims to determine the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts in algebraic form material. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive method. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students in one of the junior high schools in Purwakarta Regency and the selection of subjects was done by purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used is a description test of understanding mathematical concepts in algebraic form with 3 questions. The data were analyzed by giving a score for each subject's answer, then the recorded score was changed in the form of a percentage value. The test results were analyzed according to the indicators of the ability to understand concepts. It can be seen from the results of the research that the indicator restating a concept has a percentage of 64% with a good level of understanding, indicators using and choosing certain procedures or operations have a percentage of 53% with a sufficient level of understanding, and indicators of applying concepts or algorithms in problem solving have a percentage of 53% with a sufficient level of understanding. All students' ability to understand mathematical concepts has a percentage of 57% with a sufficient level of understanding.

Abstract

Paradigma negatif sebagian guru matematika tentang peran sebagai pembimbing di dalam proses pembelajaran masih dominan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivsi belajar dan prestasi belajar matematika. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pre test – post test design, yaitu penelitian eksperimen yang dilaksanakan pada satu kelompok dan dalam pemilihan subjek penelitian dilakukan secara random. Hasil pengabdian ini ditemukan bahwa motivasi belajar peserta didik termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik dan prestasi belajar di kelas VII dan VIII sangat signifikan, sedangkan di kelas IX tidak signifikan.

Abstract

Menganalisis data hasil penelitian merupakan sesuatu hal yang baru dan sangat menantang bagi para peneliti pemula seperti mahasiswa, dalam mengkaji sebuah fenomena. Agar tugas mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan program sarjananya dapat diselesaikan dengan baik maka dianalisis kesulitan belajar yang dihadapi para mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran statistika inferensial yaitu dengan menganalisis seperti apa bentuk kesulitan yang dihadapi serta mempelajari faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kesulitan mahassiwa dalam pembelajaran statistika inferensial sehingga ke depannya dapat dilakukan semacam strategi pembelajaran agar kesulitan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran statistika inferensial ini dapat diatasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskripsi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika angkatan 2016-2017. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu peneliti sebagai instrumen utama, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik interaktif yaitu suatu teknik analisis data kualitatif yang terdiri dari tiga alur kegiatan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan / verifikasi yang terjadi secara bersamaan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the students’ difficulties in solving the test questions with indicators of the logical-mathematical thinking ability in one of the geometry materials, especially cubes. This study was conducted according to the facts in 9th-grade of SMP Negeri (State Junior High School)in one of the schools in Karawang Regency. This study used descriptive research with a qualitative approach.  The data were collected by an essay test consisting of 4 questions, and interviews. The subjects of the study were 28 9th-grade students of SMPN 1 Cikampek Karawang Regency. The instrument of the study used the essay test with indicators of logical-mathematical thinking ability according to (Andini, 2017): (1) The ability to conclude based on the appropriate portion; (2) The ability to conclude based on the examples; 3) The ability to conclude based on the existing data; (4) The ability to conclude based on the relationship between two variables. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presenting, and concluding. The results of the study in the geometry materials show that all indicators of logical-mathematical thinking ability have not been achieved maximally. Only students with high category who meet the indicator, while the students who have moderate and low categories cannot meet the indicators. Out of 28 students, 3 students are in the high category with a percentage of 10.71%, 75% of students are in the moderate category, and 4 students are in the low category with a percentage of 14.29%. These results of the study show that students still have difficulty understanding and mastering the concepts to solve the test questions with the indicators of logical-mathematical thinking ability.
