Abstract

Milkfish is one of the fishery commodities that are in great demand by the Indonesian people, where the obstacle to production decline is disease. Therefore, to prevent disease and treat diseases that attack fish, farmers use the antibiotic Chloramphenicol. However, the use of high doses of antibiotics will cause resistance to pathogenic bacteria and the residue left in the fish's body will have a negative impact on human health who consume them such as allergies, toxicity and even cause death in anemia sufferers which can progress to leukemia. This study aims to determine the length of downtime of the antibiotic Chloramphenicol on changes in residual levels in milkfish (Chanos chanos) aged 30 days decreased to a safe limit for consumption. Residual content test using ELISA at 450 nm wave. Based on the results of the study, milkfish fed with a mixture of chloramphenicol antibiotics at a dose of 1 ppm resulted in the highest residual value of 4.6375 ppb in the first week and a decrease in residue to 0.2363 ppb for 5 weeks. The stopping time of chloramphenicol antibiotics on changes in residual levels in milkfish (Chanos chanos) aged 30 days in treatment F (Milkfish fed with a mixture of chloramphenicol at a dose of 1g/kg of feed for a week, then fed without a mixture of chloramphenicol for 5 weeks) resulted in a safe limit for consumption.

Abstract

Banyu Urip Mangrove Center (BMC) is one of the Mangrove tourist areas, which also has green mussel cultivation around it. Green mussels in this area tend not to be processed into preserved food products, but are only traded fresh. The price of fresh green mussels is very cheap, therefore it is necessary to increase knowledge regarding the diversification of processed green mussels to increase the added value of green mussels and the knowledge of mothers in the BMC area, Ujung Pangkah District, Gresik Regency. To solve this problem, the role of higher education is needed, including carrying out community service through outreach to mothers in the area. The purpose of this activity is to educate mothers about processed diversification and handling of green mussels. The method of implementing this activity consists of 3 stages, namely: preparation, implementation of counseling, and evaluation. The result of this activity was an increase in the knowledge of mothers about the variety of diversification of processed green mussels including: Green Mussel Shell Flour, Green Mussel Crackers, Condiment Pasta (Such as Oyster Sauce), Green Scallop Meatballs, Green Scallop Nuggets, and Chitosan. The mothers looked very enthusiastic about participating in this activity as shown by the very interactive questions and answers and discussions, as did the participants who remained in place until the end of the event.

Abstract

Masyarakat semakin banyak menghabiskan waktu untuk mengakses media sosial salah satunya mencari informasi tempat wisata yang menarik, sehingga peran dari sebuah konten kreatif pada media sosial sebagai media promosi jasa wisata yang berbentuk digital menjadi sangat penting. Banyuurip Mangrove Center (BMC) adalah salah satu destinasi ekowisata yang berada di Desa Banyuurip, Kecamatan Ujung Pangkah, Kabupaten Gresik yang saat ini sedang berkembang yang saat ini masih minim pengunjung. Guna meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan, maka dipelukan adanya pelatihan mengoptimalkan promosi melalui media sosial tentunya berisi konten kreatif yang memudahkan dan menarik para calon wisatawan dalam menggali informasi tentang jasa wisata yang ditawarkan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu pengelola BMC bisa menggali value preposition BMC dan menggunakan aplikasi Canva untuk membuat konten kreatif untuk promosi eco-wisata Banyuurip Mangrove Center.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKepiting Bakau (Scylla serrata) merupakan jenis crustacea yang hidup di perairan pantai khususnya hutan bakau (mangrove) dan memiliki peluang pasar yang terbuka luas dan prospektif, baik domestik maupun pasar mancanegara. Pemenuhan pasar permintaan kepiting bakau masih dari hasil penangkapan di alam, dan tidak dapat dipastikan segi kualitas dan kuantitasnya. Sehingga perlu diupayakan budidaya dengan menyerupai habitat aslinya (bersubstrat) untuk dapat menghasilkan kepiting bakau yang berkualitas baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui substrat manakah yang cocok untuk menghasilkan pertumbuhan kepiting bakau yang optimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental. Desain yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 (empat) perlakuan. Perlakuan terdiri dari; Perlakuan A (Substrat Pasir), Perlakuan B (Substrat Lumpur), Perlakuan C (Substrat Tanah), Perlakuan D (Kontrol). Kepiting yang digunakan adalah kepiting bakau berjenis kelamin jantan dengan berat rata-rata awal 50 gr dan panjang karapas awal 7 cm. Parameter uji adalah pertumbuhan berat mutlak dan panjang mutlak pada kepiting bakau, yang dihitung mulai awal hingga akhir penelitian, serta disampling setiap minggu. Data yang diperoleh selama penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perlakuan B (Substrat Lumpur) menghasilkan pertumbuhan berat mutlak paling optimal, namun pada semua perlakuan tidak terdapat pertumbuhan panjang mutlak.Kata Kunci: kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata), pertumbuhan berat mutlak, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, substrat.ABSTRACTMangrove Crab (Scylla serrata) is a type of crustacean that lives in coastal waters, especially mangrove forests and has wide open and prospective market opportunities, both domestic and foreign markets. Fulfillment of the market demand for mangrove crabs is still caught in nature, and the quality and quantity cannot be ascertained. So it is necessary to strive for cultivation to resemble its natural habitat (substrate) in order to produce good quality mangrove crabs. The purpose of this study was to find out which substrate is suitable for optimal growth of mangrove crabs. The research method used is experimental research. The design used was a completely randomized design (RAL) with 4 (four) treatments. Treatment consists of; Treatment A (Sand Substrate), Treatment B (Mud Substrate), Treatment C (Soil Substrate), Treatment D (Control). The crabs used were male mangrove crabs with an initial average weight of 50 grams and an initial carapace length of 7 cm. The test parameters were absolute weight and absolute length growth of mangrove crabs, which were calculated from the beginning to the end of the study, and were sampled every week. The data obtained during the research were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that Treatment B (Mud Substrate) resulted in the most optimal absolute weight growth, but in all treatments there was no absolute growth in length.Keyword: Scylla serrata, absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, substrate.

Abstract

Comet fish (Carassius auratus) is a freshwater ornamental fish which is quite well known among the public. The attractiveness of ornamental fish can be measured by its brilliant color, shape, physical fitness, behavior and state of health or stamina. Purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L. poiret) has high antioxidant compounds, in addition to the anthocyanins present in sweet potatoes, vitamin C, vitamin E, lutein, zeaxanthin, and β-carotene which are carotenoid antioxidant pairs. This study aims to determine the increase in the color of koi fish after being given artificial feed added purple sweet potato. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments, tested for 30 days. The comet fish used were 2-3 months old and 5-6 cm in size. From the results of the study, the addition of purple sweet potato juice to the feed had an effect on increasing the color of comet fish whereas treatment C with a dose of 50 ml resulted in an increase in comet fish color with the highest average of 28, 53 RGB.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2022 jumlah penderita stunting di Indonesia mencapai 21,6 %, dan masih berada di urutan ke lima dunia.  Sebagai upaya untuk berpartisipasi dalam penyelesaian masalah stunting, maka peran perguruan tinggi melaksanakan penyuluhan pada Ibu-ibu yang berlokasi di Posyandu Sedap Malam 1, Desa Candinegoro RT.05 RW.01, Kecamatan Wonoayu, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Tujuan kegiatan: meningkatkan pengetahuan pada ibu-ibu tentang olahan pangan lokal dan produk berbasis ikan sebagai upaya untuk mencegah stunting.  Metode kegiatan adalah: persiapan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan, dan evaluasi. Hasil menunjukkan (1) terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ibu-ibu Posyandu tentang olahan pangan lokal dan produk berbasis ikan sebagai upaya untuk mencegah stunting (2) Pemberian buku resep yang dapat dijadikan panduan bagi ibu-ibu sehingga dapat meminimalisir kasus stunting.  Berdasarkan pretest dan post test menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan ibu-ibu tentang olahan pangan lokal dan produk berbasis ikan sebagai upaya untuk mencegah stunting menunjukkan peningkatan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSalah satu permasalahan dalam budidaya udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) yang dapat menghambat usaha budidaya ini adalah tingginya tingkat mortalitas benur vaname padasaat proses transportasi, yang dimana dipengaruhi oleh parameter kualitas air yang termasuk salah satunya adalah kadar salinitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh salinitas terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup benur dan kadar optimum salinitas untuk benur vaname pada proses transportasi basah tertutup. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 perlakuam dan masing-masing terdiri dari 9 kali pengulangan terdapat 27 percobaan. Perlakuan (A) menggunakan media air dengan salinitas 17,5 ppt, perlakuan (B) media air dengan salinitas 15 ppt, Perlakuan (C) media air dengan salinitas 12,5 ppt. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan benur vaname PL 9 sebanyak 40.500 ekor yang didapatkan dari hatchery di desa tunggul kecamatan paciran kabupaten lamongan. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan dianalisis dengan statistik didapati bahwa salinitas yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup benur vaname pada pengangkutan dengan sistem basah tertutup dan perlakuan (A) memberi hasil tertinggi dengan nilai tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar 98,45%. Hasil pengamatan pada parameter kualitas air sebelum pengangkutan, oksigen terlarut berkisar 5,5 – 6,0, Ph 7,1- 7,4 dan suhu 22,5 – 22,8 kemudian setelah pengangkutan dilakukan oksigen terlarut berkisar 5,7-6,0, pH berkisar 7,5 – 7,7 dan suhu berkisar 23,0 – 23,3. Kata kunci: Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei), transportasi basah tertutup, kelangsungan hidup, salinitas, osmoregulasiABSTRACTOne of the problems in the cultivation of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) which can hamper this cultivation is the high mortality rate of vannamei fry during the transportation process, which is influenced by water quality parameters, one of which is salinity. This study aims to determine the effect of salinity on the survival rate of fry and the optimum level of salinity for vannamei fry in the closed wet transportation process. This study uses an experimental method. The experimental design used in this study was a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and each consisted of 9 repetitions with 27 trials. Treatment (A) used water media with a salinity of 17.5 ppt, treatment (B) used water media with a salinity of 15 ppt, treatment (C) used water media with a salinity of 12.5 ppt. The research sample used 40,500 PL 9 vaname fry obtained from the hatchery in stump village, Paciran sub-district, Lamongan district. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out and analyzed statistically, it was found that different salinities had a significant effect on the survival rate of vannamei fry in closed wet transport and treatment (A) gave the highest yield with a survival rate of 98.45%. The results of observations on water quality parameters before transportation, dissolved oxygen ranged from 5.5 to 6.0, Ph 7.1 to 7.4 and temperature 22.5 to 22.8 then after transportation the dissolved oxygen ranged from 5.7 to 6. 0, pH ranges from 7.5 to 7.7 and temperature ranges from 23.0 to 23.3. Abstract

ABSTRAK Udang galah (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) merupakan spesies endemik Indonesia dan menjadi salah satu yang memiiki potensi komersial menjadi komoditi unggulan perikanan budidaya air tawar di Indonesia. Namun pada budidayanya sering dijumpai kendala, baik dari tingkat kelulusan hidup yang rendah akibat kanibalisme dan kegagalan pada saat molting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berapakah dosis cangkang sotong yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan frekuensi molting udang galah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental. Desain yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 (empat) perlakuan. Perlakuan terdiri dari; Perlakuan A (0% serbuk cangkang sotong), Perlakuan B (5% serbuk cangkang sotong), Perlakuan C (10% serbuk cangkang sotong), Perlakuan D (15% serbuk cangkang sotong). Udang galah yang digunakan memiliki berat rata-rata awal 3,5 gr. Parameter uji adalah pertumbuhan berat mutlak dan frekuensi molting pada udang galah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis terbaik pemberian serbuk cangkang sotong ke dalam pakan untuk mempercepat proses molting udang galah pada penelitian ini adalah pada perlakuan B (5% serbuk cangkang sotong) 1,57 kali/ekor, yaitu menghasilkan tingkat pertumbuhan berat mutlak sebesar 12,3 g.Kata kunci: cangkang sotong, pertumbuhan, frekuensi molting, udang galah (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), kualitas airABSTRACTFreshwater prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) are an endemic species to Indonesia and are one that has commercial potential to become a leading commodity in freshwater aquaculture in Indonesia. The aim of this research was to find out what is the best dose of cuttlefish shells for the growth and molting frequency of prawns. The research method used was experimental research. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 (four) treatments. Treatment consists of; Treatment A (0% cuttlefish shell powder), Treatment B (5% cuttlefish shell powder), Treatment C (10% cuttlefish shell powder), Treatment D (15% cuttlefish shell powder). The prawns used had an initial average weight of 3.5 grams. The test parameters are absolute weight growth and molting frequency in prawns. The results of the research showed that the best dose of giving cuttlefish shell powder in the feed to speed up the molting process of freshwater prawns in this study  was treatment B (5% cuttlefish shell powder) 1.57 times/head, which resulted in an absolute weight growth rate of 12.3 g.Keywords: cuttlefish shell, growth, molting frequency, giant prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), water quality
