Abstract

enormous benefits from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. This contribution was inversely proportional to the trend of changes in the area of HKR, which had decreased. The reduction in the area of HKR was closely related to the socio-economic conditions of the farmers. The purpose of this study is to conduct a socio-economic analysis of HKR management in Maros. This research was conducted in the community candlenut forest area in Maros Regency, including villages with community candlenut forest, including Labuaja, Laiya, Limapoccoe, Rompegading, and Cenrana Baru. This study indicated that there had been a change in the community's social and economic activities in managing the candlenut forest in Maros. Communities tended to focus their livelihoods on cocoa and coffee commodities meanwhile reduce land use for candlenut. The change above is evidenced by the value of community dependence on the candlenut commodity of 35.09%.

Abstract

The Mirring Village community is one of the villages that has a dependency on the forest. Before obtaining permission from HKm, the existence of the forest around the village of Mirring was quite critical. Until now, the existence of HKm KTH Buttu Puang is still active and has achievements. So it is important to see how the adaptation pattern of the Mirring village community is with the existence of a Social Forest management permit. The understanding of the adaptation of the Mirring Village community in the development of HKm can be a reference for the parties in the development of HKm in other villages. This research was carried out from January to June 2021. The method used was the method of interviewing groups of forest producers. The results of the study indicate that the community adopts an adaptation pattern that includes ecological adaptation, economic adaptation and social adaptation. In the adaptation pattern studied, in general, the community is considered capable of adapting to the applied HKm management system. Abstract

Global warming has a huge negative impact on all living things, both humans, animals and plants. The cause of global warming is due to an increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2). Agroforestry pattern community forests have a good role in efforts to reduce gas emissions in the atmosphere. Vegetation found in community forests can absorb carbon through photosynthesis and release carbon through respiration, in the process of photosynthesis vegetation produces O2 and energy and some is stored in the form of biomass. This study aims to determine the potential of biomass and carbon stored in agroforestry-patterned community forests in Polewali Mandar District, West Sulawesi. Data collection was carried out in 9 villages in Bulo District with a total of 27 plots measuring 20 x 20 m. The data collected included tree diameter, tree height and tree species. data analysis using allometric equations according to tree species to obtain biomass values. while for the stored carbon value obtained from biomass products of 0.47. The results showed that the plant that dominated the highest value of biomass and carbon was durian. The total biomass in the community forest with the agroforestry pattern in Polewali Mandar Regency is 90.62 ton/ha while the total value of stored carbon is 42.59 ton/ha.
