Abstract

Lack of understanding regarding halal label certification in a start-up business within the Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya is an obstacle in implementing halal product guarantees for a product or service. If further researched, halal certification on a product, especially in a start-up, will affect customer satisfaction and increase the profits of a business. Therefore, this community service activity aims to provide literacy and training about a halal certification to increase customer satisfaction in the Unusa Student Start-Up business. This community service activity targets 26 students of Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya who have a start-up business. The method used is lecture and question and answer. Meanwhile, the evaluation of activities is carried out by distributing questionnaires regarding knowledge related to halal certification and customer satisfaction, which is then analyzed using Paired Sample Test. The results obtained are a significant increase in knowledge (p-value 0.000). This is evidenced by the average knowledge score before training of 3.83 to 5.42 after training. After this training, students hope to get further assistance related to halal certification in start-up businesses

Abstract

Islam requires its followers to consume halal food. The rapid development of the media causes the flow of information to be obtained more easily and a lot so that it can affect a person's consumption pattern. Factors that can influence a person's decision to consume halal food are attitudes and behavior. Audiovisual media are considered better and more interesting in displaying information so that understanding is obtained, and a good attitude can also change a person's behavior.  The purpose of the study was to analyze differences in attitudes and behavior before and after being given education with audiovisual media in high school students. The type of research used is an experimental design with a two-group design with pre-test and post-test. The study was conducted on students of SMA Hang Tuah 2 Sidoarjo. The sample required is 86 people who are divided into 2 groups, namely 42 students in the poster and discussion group (P1) and 42 students in the video group (P2), with a sampling technique that is cluster sampling. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire of respondents' attitudes and behavior in consuming halal food. The results are there is a significant difference between the attitude of consuming halal food in the group that was given education with video media (p-value 0.000) compared to posters and discussions (p-value 0.249). There is also a significant difference between the consumption behavior of halal food in the group that was educated with video media (p-value 0.000) compared to posters and discussions (p-value 0.119). The conclusion of this study, halal food education will be effective in changing attitudes and behavior in high school students if it is given with audiovisual media in the form of the video so that this educational strategy can be applied to other target groups such as university students.

Abstract

Keberadaan pondok pesantren dan sekolah di pondok pesantren akan memberikan pengalaman hidup yang berharga bagi siswa. Mereka akan belajar untuk hidup mandiri, bertanggung jawab, dan memiliki nilai-nilai keislaman yang kuat. Selain itu, mereka juga akan belajar untuk menghargai orang lain dan membangun persaudaraan yang erat. Pendidikan di pondok pesantren hampir sama dengan Pendidikan umum namun lebih banyak porsi pendidikan dan pendalaman tentang agama islam. Keberadaan siswa di pondok pesantren hampir 24 jam perlu menjaga kebersihan, berperilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Selain itu, sarana untuk antisipasi kegawatdaruratan diperlukan agar, masyarakat pondok dapat mencegah dan mengantisipasi sebuah kejadian dalam kondisi darurat. Tujuan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah mendeklarasikan pondok pesantren sebagai kawasan sadar kebersihan dan potensi bahaya (Kadarsih). Metode yang digunakan sosialisasi (yakni sosialisasi dan edukasi higiene dan sanitasi, 5R (Resik, rapi, rawat, ringkas, dan rajin), sosialisasi kegawatdaruratan, lomba kebersihan, pemasangan tanda bahaya, praktik simulasi, dan komitmen kawasan kadarsih, penyusunan tim dan struktur organisasi dan program kerja. Hasilnya ada perubahan pemahaman santri yang sebelumnya sebagain besar tidak mengetahui tentang higiene dan sanitasi, 5R, kegawatdaruratan, tanda bahaya, Mereka mengakui kegiatan ini memiliki banyak manfaat dan baik serta mereka juga baru mendapatkan pengetahuan tersebut. Pada aktivitas pemasangan tanda bahaya (safety sign) di area pondok pesantren dan sekolah, mereka lebih memahami fungsi dari pemasangan tanda tersebut, serta harus berlari kemana jika ada bahaya, yaitu menuju titik kumpul. deklarasi kawasan sadar kebersihan dan potensi bahaya semakin melengkapi bahwa pondok pesantren harus berkomitmen kuat untuk menjunjung tinggi kebersihan sebagai salah satu kebutuhan, serta sadar potensi bahaya juga merupakan upaya untuk melindungi diri dari bahaya. kesimpulannya, program ini telah dilaksanakan di pondok pesantren di pamekasan, dilengkapi dengan tim dan pengurus kawasan kadarsih. Harapannya program ini akan terus dijalankan sebagai sebuah bagian penting dalam kehidupan pondok pesantren.
