Abstract

Komunikasi terapeutik merupakan komunikasi yang bertujuan untuk terapi guna mempercepat proses penyembuhan klien, adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran dan hubungan antara karakteristik, pengetahuan, sikap perawat dengan pelaksanaan komunikasi terapeutik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Cross Sectional dengan jumlah sampel 50 perawat pelaksanan. Teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Instrument yang digunakan kuesioner, dan lembar observasi dengan uji Spearman Correlation. Hasil analisis univariate didapatkan 42 (84%) usia perawat 25-35 tahun (dewasa awal), 30 (60%) perawat yang bekerja ≥ 5 tahun. 27 (54%) perawat memiliki pengetahuan baik, 33 (66%) sikap perawat positif dan sebanyak 30 (60%) perawat melaksanakan komunikasi terapeutik dengan baik. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menyatakan tidak terdapat korelasi hubungan antara umur dengan p-value 0,221 (>0,50), terdapat korelasi hubungan yang lemah antara lama kerja dengan p-value 0,040 (<0,50), terdapat korelasi hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan p-value 0,45 (<0,50), dan terdapat korelasi hubungan yang sangat kuat antara sikap dengan pelaksanaan komunikasi terapeutik dengan p-value 0,00 (<0,50). Therapeutic communication is a communication that aims to therapy in order to accelerate the healing process of patients, as for the purpose of this research is to get an overview and the relationship between the characteristics, knowledge, attitude communicates with the implementation of therapeutic nurse. This study used cross sectional design. with a sample size of 50 nurses conduct. The technique of taking sampil simple random sampling. Instrument used questionnaires and observation sheets with Spearman Correlation test. The results of the univariate analysis found 42 (84%) of nurses aged 25-35 years (young adult), 30 (60%) of nurses who work ≥ 5 years. 27 (54%) of nurses had good knowledge, 33 (66%) positive attitude of nurses and 30 (60%) of nurses carry out therapeutic communication well. Spearman correlation test results stating there is no correlation between age and the p-value 0.221 (> 0.50), there is a weak correlation between long relationship working with a p-value of 0.040 (<0.50), there is a correlation between knowledge with p Value-0.45 (<0.50), and there is a very strong correlation between attitude to the implementation of therapeutic communication with a p-value of 0.00 (<0.50).

Abstract

Intravenous therapy (VI) is the therapy frequently used on medical care. More than 60% of clients treated at hospital applied the therapy.  The problem found was inappropriate standard operational procedure in applying Intravenous therapy. The purpose of this study was to know the correlation of supervision and motivation in  applying Intravenous therapy based on standard operational procedure  done by nurse at inpatient care facility of Siloam Hospital, Jambi.Populations were all nurses worked at the hospital. The samples were 51 nurses; it was a total sampling. The result of univariate analysis revealed that the number of respondents who had a good supervision was 30 nurses (58.9%). Meanwhile, the respondents having high motivation were 26 (51%), and the respondents who applied intravenous therapy based on standard operational procedure were 43 nurses (64.3%). The biavariate showed that there was a significant correlation between supervision and applying intravenous therapy based on standard operational procedure (p-value 0.034<0.05) and there was a significant correlation between motivation and applying intravenous therapy based on standard operational procedure (p-value 0.018<0.05). In summary, there was a significant correlation of supervision and motivation in  applying Intravenous therapy based on standard operational procedure  done by nurse at inpatient care facility of Siloam Hospital Jambi.
