Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dilaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan simulasi kepada Guru Biologi di SMA Negeri 1 Kambera tentang cara pembuatan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran Biologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, studi kasus, curah pendapat, simulasi dan praktik. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru Biologi mampu membuat dan menggunakan media pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan antusias dan motivasi guru dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran. Selain itu juga guru-guru dapat memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai pembuatan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk Tiga Dimensi dan produk ini dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran; biologi; tiga dimensi ABSTRACTThe aims of this community service is to provide a simulation to the Biology teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Kambera on how to make and use Biology learning media in the learning process. This service uses lectures, discussions, question and answer methods, case studies, brainstorming, simulations and practices. The result of this service activity is that the Biology teacher is able to create and use learning media. This activity is able to increase the enthusiasm and motivation of teachers in utilizing learning media. In addition, teachers can also gain knowledge about making learning media in the form of three dimensions and this product can be used in classroom learning. Keywords: learning media; biology; three dimensions

Abstract

This research is an inventory research, namely an inventory of the folklates in East Sumba which is increasingly being forgotten by the progress of the times which continues to grow towards the development of technology and information. With this inventory of East Sumba folktales, the younger generation will get to know the East Sumba folktales which contains cultural values and local wisdom that exist in East Sumba. The purpose of this research was to collect all the folktales that existed in all areas of East Sumba, wrote them in Indonesian which was easy to understand without leaving the moral values, culture and local wisdom in the stories. The method used in this research was descriptive inventory method. The results of this study were: (1) The folktales collected came from seven sub-districts in East Sumba, totaling 13 folktales; (2) This folktales consisted of five legends and six fairy tales, others were advices about marriage in East Sumba; (3) The legends that had been successfully inventoried were The Occurrence of the Tabundung and Tidahu rivers, the Origin of Sumba People, The origin of the name ‘Pallajawa’, The origin of Lake Waimolung, and the Origin of Tairi fish; (4) The fairy tales that were successfully inventoried were Umbu Ndilu and Rambu Kahi, Putri Sejunjung Hari, Umbu Hadu Hina, Naughty Monkey, Umbu Ndilu Ngguku and The Rooster.

Abstract

This research aims to know the psychological conflict of Blanche DuBois and her emotional reaction after facing the conflicts. The research is a qualitative and library research. The data gathered are especially taken from the main source which is the play itself. Besides that, to support the study the writer gets some data from books and internet and the objective theory of literature. The study finds out that Blanche DuBois’ emotional reaction after facing:(1) approach-approach conflict is mild because there are all positive goals, she likes and enjoy that psychological conflicts; (2) avoidance-avoidance conflict is self-aggression because she blames herself for this conflict situation and displace aggression because she displaces the frustration to Stella; (3) approach-avoidance conflict is leave the psychological space because she cannot handle her psychological conflict anymore; (4) double approach-avoidance conflict is leave the psychological space because she prefers to refuse all the conflicts, refuse to face reality in her life. Abstract

Bidang pendidikan merupakan salah satu bidang yang terkena dampak pandemi COVID-19. Sistem pembelajaran online pun menjadi satu-satunya pilihan di daerah terdampak COVID-19. Salah satu aplikasi media pembelajaran yang digunakan di masa pandemi ini adalah Google Meet dan Google Classroom. Namun, belum semua sekolah menengah di Sumba Timur menggunakan media pembelajaran online tersebut karena keterbatasan pemahaman teknologi para tenaga pendidik. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan pemanfaatan aplikasi media pembelajaran online seperti Google Meet dan Google Classroom akan membantu para guru untuk dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode tutorial dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Kanatang. Adapun hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah seluruh peserta pelatihan yang berjumlah 16 orang guru di SMP Negeri 2 Kanatang merasa puas dan dapat memahami materi pelatihan dengan baik yang dapat mereka aplikasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of an ideal online learning system that has been designed using the ADDIE model in the 3T (Front, Outermost, & Disadvantaged) area in East Sumba Regency. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at SDI Waingapu 2 and SMP Negeri 1 Waingapu. The subjects of this study were teachers, students, parents, and principals of SDI Waingapu 2 and SMP Negeri 1 Waingapu, as well as the East Sumba Regency Office. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, questionnaires, observation, and document studies. The data analysis technique is qualitative data analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the Ideal Online Learning System for East Sumba Regency has been implemented by SDI Waingapu 2 and SMP Negeri 1 Waingapu following the Guidelines for the Ideal Distance Learning System in East Sumba Regency by the Education Office, both by students, teachers, parents, school principals, as well as the East Sumba District Education Office. However, obstacles still hinder the implementation of online learning, such as unstable internet connections and teacher skills in utilizing learning technology. The ideal online learning system that has been developed is then used as consideration for policymakers to improve the quality of education in East Sumba Regency as one of the Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost regions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Wainggai. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen. Dalam hal ini peneliti memilih nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini kelas VIIIa (kelas eksperimen) menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture, dan Kelas VIIIb (kelas kontrol) menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 1 Wainggai, semester genap, T.A 2021/2022. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes tertulis sebanyak 20 soal pretest dan 20 soal posttest berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan uji statistik, yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji t (paired sampe t test) menggunakan SPSS versi 22. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh data rata-rata nilai postest kelas eksperimen adalah 81.25 dan kelas kontrol adalah 72.50. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji paired sampel t test diperoleh hasil sig (2-tailed) < 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Wainggai.

Abstract

Learning from homeapplied in East Sumba is a distance learning Shift. This Shift learning system is done by dividing class levels. This research is R and D research, that focus on application of implementation, the application of the results of previous studies which is the development of the ideal distance learning model in East Sumba by using Addie model. The implementation of the Shift Research Results Guidelines was carried out in Kambera Public Middle School with quesioners, interview and FGD as data collection technique. The results of this study indicate that in: 1) preparation stage, the principal, parents and regional government has conducted a distance learning shift in accordance with the guidelines, while students and teachers have not implemented the preparation according to the guidelines because many students do not prepare health protocol devices while many teachers do not prepare props and video learning; 2) Implementation stage, students, teachers, principals and regional governments have conducted a distance learning Shift in accordance with the guidelines, while parents are not in accordance with the guidelines because parents do not accompany students in carrying out Shift learning at school; 3) Evaluation stage, students, teacher, principals, and local government has conducted a distance learning Shift in accordance with the guidelines, while parents are not in accordance with the guidelines because parents do not accompany students in taking the results of the evaluation of children in school and do not provide feedback to the assessment results.

Abstract

Kuliah kerja nyata merupakan proses pembelajaran mahasiswa melalui berbagai kegiatan langsung ditengah-tengah masyarakat. Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) adalah salah satu wujud pengabdian mahasiswa perguruan tinggi kepada masyarakat lewat pemberian bantuan pemberdayaan, pelatihan, pembimbingan, pendampingan dan untuk menyadarkan potensi yang dimiliki, serta membantu meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan pembangunan. Dengan adanya Kuliah Kerja Nyata  mahasiswa dapat berperan, serta dapat berpartisipasi dengan berupaya untuk menjadi bagian dari masyarakat serta secara aktif dan kreatif untuk terlibat dalam  dinamika yang terjadi dalam masyarakat. Mahasiswa mempunyai peran strategis sebagai agen perubahan, Mahasiswa akan mendapatkan kemampuan generatif berupa kecakapan dan keterampilan hidup. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode: (1)survei (2) wawancara/tanya jawab, (3) dokumentasi, (4) kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan maka ditentukan program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) kelompok yang akan dilaksanakan meliputi program kelompok fisik dan program kelompok non fisik. Program kelompok fisik yaitu Pendataan Penduduk, Pembuatan Pupuk Bokashi, Jumat Bersih, Pembuatan Tempat Sampah, Pembuatan Plang dan Pembuatan Gapura, sedangkan program kelompok non fisik yaitu Bimbingan Belajar. Dilihat dari program-program tersebut maka mahasiswa berperan sebagai fasilitator, dinamisator, motivator dan koordinator. Pelaksanaan program kerja yang dimulai dari tanggal 02 Juli 2022 - 02 Agustus 2022 ini relatif berjalan lancar. Dengan demikian, setelah kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata berakhir diharapkan para warga Desa Praibakul dapat terus mengembangkan segala potensi yang ada pada dirinya dan alam sekitarnya. Setiap kegiatan yang telah berlangsung agar tetap dipertahankan untuk membekali diri sebagai bekal dikemudian hari dan dapat bermanfaat untuk perkembangan dan kemajuan di Desa Praibakul.

Abstract

Safety and comfort are basic needs that must be met by all humans. People use CCTV that is often used to monitor public areas that have many people. Initially images from CCTV cameras were only sent via cable to a certain monitor room and needed direct supervision by security personnel with still low image resolution. One method for identifying faces is the Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) method. LDA is a method to find a linear subspace that maximizes the separation of two classes of patterns according to Fisher Criterion (fisher criteria weight). This study aims to detect faces with the Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) method as extraction features and classify facial images using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method. The conclusion of this study is that the results obtained from face detection get a fairly high percentage of 84.2% for detected faces and 15.8% for undetectable faces and the results obtained are influenced by a fairly good facial image and image cropping process good and unchanging face position which makes it easy to detect faces.

Abstract

Research on the implementation of text mining uses the TF IDF method to be used in the Information retrieval / Indonesian news search feature. The dataset used was sourced from NewsAPI and built a Codeigniter based website named "News Plus Six Dua". This study also uses the Vertor Space Model (VSM) method to overcome the weaknesses of the TF IDF method at the time of the sorting process. The results of this study explain that the search by the TF IDF method has higher accuracy when compared to SQL like operators. TF IDF produces a percentage of precision 100% and recall (sensitivity) 66.7% on searches with the keyword "Indonesian soccer schedule" while SQL like operators do not display search results or equal to 0%. But the TF IDF method has the disadvantage of running slower than SQL like operators. This has been tested using either the number of words or terms entered, the number of datasets, and the location of access. At the location of access, access via hosting is monitored faster when compared via localhost.
