Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic presents its own challenges in the education sector (schools) to adapt quickly so that they can still carry out and present education optimally to students even in limited circumstances. One of the efforts that continue to be made by the school is the application of information technology as a learning medium. The partner for this Community Service activity is SMP YLPI Marpoyan Pekanbaru, which during the pandemic experienced obstacles in using the library and using the Learning Management System (Google Classroom). To that end, the team built the book&quiz application and conducted training on the use of the book&quiz application and Google Classroom. The application of the book&quiz application is believed to be able to facilitate the management of digital libraries and increase students' reading interest. In addition, the use of Google Classroom can support more optimal online class management. Overall, the teachers are very satisfied and helped by this community service activity.

Abstract

The challenge that is often faced by companies is how to find solutions that can be used to evaluate the performance of their employees. The purpose of this study is to design a service-based performance appraisal system with a ticket system to support employee performance appraisals in a company. By using this service-based assessment system, performance appraisal can be carried out objectively based on what the employees have done, this is possible because the parts and roles in the company have been mapped, where each role has different services to handle. As the employee has finished doing certain services, the employee will get points according to what has been done. At the end of each month, the company can determine the "Best Employee of the Month" based on the total point data obtained in a certain month, then the appropriate reward or punishment can be given based on their performance.

Abstract

Jurnal digital (e-journal) melalui Open Journal System (OJS) menjadi salah satu sarana dalam mempublikasikan hasil penelitian pada lingkup yang lebih luas. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan reputasi yang baik sebagai referensi dari para penulis dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Server adalah tempat untuk menyimpan konten website atau sering juga disebut dengan istilah hosting. Tanpa adanya server, maka sebuah website tidak bisa diakses. Banyak web server yang ada saat ini, cotohnya yang populer adalah Apache dan Nginx. Dua web server ini merupakan web server yang banyak digunakan saat ini oleh banyak website di seluruh dunia. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji dan menganalisa kinerja dari web server untuk kebutuhan OJS. Sebab, dengan traffic yang tinggi pada OJS, sebuah web server diharapkan mampu untuk menangani permintaan yang tinggi. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan terhadap beberapa parameter, website Open Journal System yang menggunakan web server Apache bekerja lebih optimal daripada website Open Journal Sytstem yang menggunakan web server Nginx sehingga saat diakses menggunakan secure tunnel, web Open Journal System (OJS) gagal memuat file header dan footer sehingga tampilan website jadi kurang menarik dan tidak user friendly.

Abstract

This community service activity is a service which explains and teaches how to use an electronic English dictionary application from free to paid. The targets of this service are teachers and students of MTS Diniyah Putri. The method used in carrying out this community service is the method of preparation, implementation and monitoring of what has been explained to find out how far the PKM participants understand the use of the English electronic dictionary application This. This application media can be one of the media that can increase motivation so that learning English becomes more effective and efficient so that the results obtained are maximized.

Abstract

Planet Surf Retail company is a company that moves under PT. Planet Selancar Mandiri management has the first Planet Surf store located at Galleria Shopping Mall, Jogjakarta, since 1997 and still operates. Planet Surf has 54 stores spread across 31 cities throughout Indonesia and continues to grow to meet customer fashion needs. Each store has one leader and eight to ten employees. Nowadays, Planet Surf still uses third-party applications to help their jobs daily. The employees report their activity, employment, and progress using third-party applications, and the leader sees it. But the problem is third-party applications can not organize their report by name, date, and category. It makes there a condition that the leader misses seeing employees' reports, employees find it hard to report their activities, and misunderstandings between employees and the leader. In this research, the Author tries to develop an Android application to see if it can help employees and leaders finish their jobs. Features from the Application are daily reports, job reports, and progress reports, and the leader can create reports for all employees.
