Abstract

This study aims to determine the added value of coconut coir in the processing industry of PT. Berkat Abadi Korindo, Bitung City. This research was conducted at PT Berkat Abadi Korindo Bitung City from January to March 2020. The location was determined purposively with the consideration that PT. Berkat Abadi Korindo is the only company that processes coconut coir into “Fish Net” products in North Sulawesi. The type of data used in this study is primary data obtained through direct interviews with company owners using a list of data requirements that have been prepared as well as direct observations about conditions in the field during the analysis period. The research data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using added value analysis. The results of this study indicate the coconut coir processing industry of PT. Berkat Abadi Korindo, Matuari Sub-District, Bitung City provides added value of more than 0 or Rp. 2,331.14 from every 1 kg of coconut husk to 0.16 kg of "Fish Net".

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the profit gap of chrysanthemum business in “Show Window” Land and Farmers' Land in Kakaskasen II Village, North Tomohon District, Tomohon City. This research was conducted from December to April 2022. The selection of respondents was done intentionally. The data collection method is a survey method. Interview data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were collected through interviews based on questionnaires, to four farmers. Secondary data were obtained from related institutions, namely the Head of the Show Window Center and the Kelurahan Office. The results showed that the profit of the chrysanthemum flower business in the Show Window area was greater than that of the farmer, namely Rp. 13,635,049, while in the Farmer's Land, it was Rp. 7,705.822. The value of the gap in the profit of chrysanthemum business between the potential performance in the Show Window Land and the actual performance in the Farmer's Land is Rp. 5,891,726. The profit gap that occurs is caused by the cost factor incurred and the resulting revenue factor. Costs that can affect fixed costs are depreciation costs, and variable costs consisting of medicine costs, labor costs, and other costs (electricity and water). Acceptance at the Show Window is greater than that of farmers because production is influenced by land use, chrysanthemum production, cultivation methods, and competent workers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the characteristics of herbal consumers and analyze consumer preferences for “Jamu Gendong”. This research was carried out for 1 month, starting from November to December 2020. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from direct interviews with herbal drink consumers and herbal sellers. Secondary data were obtained from the Monograph of Sumompo Village and literature related to the research. The sampling method used in the selection of respondents was done by accidental sampling technique with the number of respondents 50 people. The results of this study indicate the characteristics of “Jamu Gendong” consuments in Sumompo Village in terms of gender, most of them are female, seen from the work of most of them are manual workers, seen from the purpose of consuming herbal drink is to maintain health (promotive). The consumer preference for herbal drink in Sumompo Village shows the overall attributes of the herbal drink with a total score of 7.11, which means that it is very good in the eyes of consumers.
