Abstract

The Research objectives of this class is to find out the influence of learning by improving skills and the quality by combining the observation-based on experiments in the laboratory, besides the students can develop skills, science process skills, solve problems and improve the interaction of students in the teaching and learning process. This research uses experimental methods consist of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 components such as; planning, implementation measures, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is the grade XI at SMAN 1 Sigli. The research sample was obtained from class XI IPA 5 with 30 students. I the techniques of data collection of tests and observations or observations made objectively against aspects which will be observed in the form of data and information. Data collection tools in the form of a question and observation instrument of sheet. Performance indicators expected results enhanced learning occurred reached 75% for study result. Percentage of class action research on cycle I gained 56,67%, while on cycle II student learning increased to 83,33% for study result.

Abstract

Garcinia cowa termasuk famili Guttiferae, yang dikenal di Indonesia dengan nama asam kandis. Secara tradisional kulit batang Garcinia cowa telah digunakan sebagai antipiretik dan antimikroba, sementara buah dan daunnya untuk memperlancar peredaran darah, ekspektoran, pencahar, serta akarnya untuk menurunkan demam. Keragaman manfaat tumbuhan Garcinia sebagai obat tradisional tersebut terkait dengan kandungan kimianya. Dalam rangka investigasi berkelanjutan untuk mencari senyawa metabolit sekunder dari tumbuhan genus Garcinia asal Indonesia, suatu senyawa steroid, stigmasterol telah berhasil diisolasi dari bagian akar Garcinia cowa. Isolasi dilakukan dengan cara ekstraksi dan berbagai metode kromatografi. Penentuan struktur senyawa stigmasterol l berdasarkan data spektroskopi NMR dan dengan membandingkan data senyawa yang diperoleh dengan literatur. Berdasarkan analisa spektroskopi disimpulkan senyawa hasil isolasi adalah stigmasterol. Senyawa ini baru dilaporkan dari spesies ini.

Abstract

Suatu senyawa kelompok depsidon (1) telah berhasil diisolasi dan dielusidasi struktur kimia dari  ekstrak etil asetat Garcinia cowa.Roxb. asal Indonesia.  Isolasi dan pemurnian dilakukan dengan teknik kromatografi vakum cair dan kromatografi kolom gravitasi, menggunakan adsorben silika gel, dengan sistem elusi bergradien: n-heksan, CH2Cl2, EtOAc, dan MeOH. Penentuan struktur molekul ditetapkan dengan metode spektroskopi meliputi spektroskopi UV, IR, NMR 1 D dan 2 D. Senyawa  hasil isolasi ditetapkan sebagai  1,3-dihidroksi-7-metoksi 2,8-(3-metilbutenil) depsidon (1). Senyawa ini untuk pertama kalinya  dilaporkan sebagai komponen kimia  dari  buah  G. cowa.

Abstract

Keanekaragaman hayati hutan tropis Indonesia merupakan sumber senyawa organik bahan alam seperti limonoid, triterpenoid, seskuiterpenoid, steroid, serta senyawa-senyawa fenolik yang struktur molekulnya beragam dan menunjukkan bioaktivitas yang menarik. Salah satu senyawa yang menarik diteliti adalah senyawa fenolik karena memiliki keberagaman baik fungsi maupun strukturnya. Senyawa fenolik pada tumbuhan dapat dijumpai pada famili Meliaceae. Genus Chisocheton merupakan salah satu tumbuhan dari famili Meliaceae yang memiliki sekitar 53 spesies, diantaranya adalah Chisocheton cumingianus. Chisocheton yang telah banyak diteliti memiliki aktivitas antikanker, antimalaria, antivirus, anti-oksidan, anti-inflamasi, anti-insektisida dan antimikroba. Senyawa-senyawa yang telah banyak diisolasi meliputi limonoid, triterpenoid, dan steroid. Pada paper ini akan disampaikan elusidasi struktur senyawa skopoletin dari kulit batang C. cumingianus. Senyawa skopoletin ini diperoleh dari serbuk kulit batang C. cumingianus yang diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan n-heksana, etil asetat, dan metanol yang selanjutnya dipekatkan hingga diperoleh ekstrak pekat. Ekstrak metanol dipisahkan serta dimurnikan dengan berbagai teknik kromatografi hingga diperoleh senyawa skopoletin yang berwarna kuning pucat  (9,1mg). Struktur molekul senyawa hasil isolasi ditentukan dengan metode spektroskopi IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, dan DEPT serta dibandingkan dengan literatur, maka disimpulkan bahwa isolat F4 merupakan senyawa 7-hidroksi-6-metoksi kumarin (skopoletin).

Abstract

Genus Garcinia diketahui kaya dengan senyawa santon teroksigenasi, santon terprenilasi dan benzofenon poliisoprenilasi.  Beberapa dari golongan senyawa ini memiliki aktivitas biologi yang bervariasi antara lain sebagai antibakteri, antioksidan, sitotoksik, dan antimalaria.  Garcinia cowa termasuk famili Guttiferae dan di Indonesia dikenal dengan nama asam kandis.  Dalam rangka investigasi berkelanjutan dari tumbuhan genus Garcinia asal Indonesia suatu senyawa santon kowanin telah berhasil diisolasi dari bagian   kulit batang Garcinia cowa.  Struktur molekul dari senyawa ini telah ditetapkan berdasarkan data spektroskopi meliputi UV, IR, dan NMR 1-D serta data yang diperoleh  dibandingkan  dengan data  literatur. Abstract

The bacterial and sensitivity pattern towards antimicrobials on urinary tract infections (UTI) patients are very important to beknown by clinicians to get a successful treatment. The bacterial and sensitivity pattern towards antimicrobials will be changed in differentplace and time, so that those should be analyzed routinely. To evaluate the bacterial and antimicrobials resistance pattern on urinarytract infections patients. A retrospective study on 220 urinary samples in January until December 2004 at Clinical Microbiology subunit of Dr.Wahidin Sudirohusodo hospital . Of 99 samples of UTI, Prevalence of UTI in woman (54.5%) were higher than man (45.5%).Most of sample (28 samples) were found in 0 to 15 years group. The most bacteries in urine were Escherichia coli (39.4%) and Klebsiella(26.3%). Amikacin was sensitive to all bacteries, while amoxicilin and ampicilin were resistance. Prevalence of UTI in women werehigher than in men. Incidens of UTI was highest in children group. The most bacteries in urine samples were Escherichia coli. Amikacinwas sensitive to all bacteries, while Amoxicilin and Ampicilin were resistance.

Abstract

The Indonesian economy will face a world economic crisis. It is predicted that there will be a wave of mass layoffs when facing the global recession in 2023. In addition, today's world has changed rapidly and has entered a new environment. The purpose of this study is to examine how transformational leadership influences work engagement with meaning in work as mediation among Company employees in Salatiga City. The important thing about this research is that it can expedite the company's activities in dealing with economic recession, environmental changes and post-pandemic Covid 19. This scientific study was conducted on the workforce working in the City of Salatiga based on the Central Bureau of Statistics for the City of Salatiga, totalling 103,979 people. Due to limitations, this study's sampling was carried out using calculations with the Slovin formula with a sample size of 100 employees. The sampling method uses a probabilistic sampling method, which equals the probability that each element (member) of the population will be selected as a member of the sample. Sampling using simple random sampling, namely the collection of sample members and the population, is done randomly without regard to the layers in the population. The data analysis technique to answer the research hypothesis uses the Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) tool. The results showed that transformational leadership statistically has a positive and significant effect on work engagement, transformational leadership statistically has a positive and significant effect on meaning in work, meaning in work has a statistically positive and significant effect on work engagement, and transformational leadership has a statistically positive and significant effect on work engagement mediated by meaning in work

Abstract

Aglaia is the largest genus of the Meliaceae family which contains terpenoid compounds. This type of compounds showed a diverse structures and biological activities that can be found in natural resources. Aglaia elaeagnoidea is a species from Aglaia genus that only has a few previous research. This study was aimed to isolate and determine the chemical structure of terpenoid compounds from the ethyl acetate extract of A. elaeagnoidea stem bark. Ethyl acetate extracts were separated and purified by various chromatographic techniques to obtain compounds 1-5. Compounds 1-5 were identified their chemical structures by spectroscopic methods (IR, MS, and NMR) and comparison with previous reported spectral data. Compounds 1 and 2 were identified as eudesmane-type sesquiterpenoids, 5-epi-eudesm-4(15)-ene-1β,6β-diol (1) and 6α-Hydroxy-eudesm-4(15)-en-1-one (2). Compounds 3-5 were identified as dammarane-type triterpenoids, 20S,24S-epoxy-25-hydroxydammarane-3-one (3), 20S,24S-epoxydammarane-3α,25-diol (4), and 3α-epi-cabraleahydroxy lactone (5). These compounds are first time reported from this plant. Compounds 1-5 were tested for cytotoxicity against HeLa cervical cancer cell and DU145 prostate cancer cell and as a result, compound 4 (20S,24S-epoxydammarane-3α,25-diol) showed the stronger activity compared to other compounds.
