Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the example non example learning model in learning to write narrative essays in class VII students of SMP IT Nurul Ikhwah, Nagan Raya. The informants of this study were 20 female class VII students. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach to the type of research, classroom action research (CAR). The design of PTK includes the steps of planning, action, observation, and reflection using two cycles. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation and tests. Observation or observation is a data collection method used to collect research data through observation and sensing. The test is a data collection instrument to measure students' abilities in cognitive aspects or the level of mastery of learning material. The use of examples non examples learning models is very effective in learning to write student narrative essays, in addition to higher student activity when the learning process takes place, student scores also increase after using the examples non examples learning model. This can be seen from the grade VII students of SMP IT Nurul Ikhwah who can meet the minimum completeness criteria which is higher than the assignment to write descriptive essays without using an example non example model. Before using the example non example model, there were 11 students out of 20 students who did not meet the minimum completeness criteria, after using the model, there were 3 students out of 20 who did not pass.

Abstract

This research is based on a theoretical concept that views literature as a medium for realizing educational values ​​for every community group. The research objective is to describe the educational values ​​contained in the novel. This research uses a structural approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection uses documentary techniques. Data analysis was carried out with the following steps: (1) carefully reading the novel which was the object of research; (2) noting the parts of the novel in the form of words, phrases, sentences, expressions and statements that contain educational values; (3) classifying the data based on the types of educational values ​​contained in the novels read; and (4) describe educational values. The results of the study show that the educational values ​​contained in the novel Api Tauhid: Cahaya Keagungan Cinta Sang Mujaddid are (1) the value of honesty, (2) love of peace, (3) the spirit of nationalism, and (4) the value of appreciating achievement. These four values ​​are categorized as educational values ​​because they contain teachings that form the basis of the ideals of the Indonesian nation in general which are integrated through various educational institutions, both formal and non-formal, as well as various literary works such as novels.

Abstract

Risk mitigation is a strategic approach that aims to reduce or maintain the initial level of risk until it reaches a desired residual level. The main purpose of this skill is to equip students with the necessary abilities to effectively overcome obstacles that arise after high school studies. The method of implementing this service is by socialization, education, and evaluation related to Risk Mitigation in decision-making management carried out at SMA Negeri Unggulan Tapaktuan. Participation in this community service activity produces and makes students able to practice risk mitigation in decision-making management for the benefit of students in determining the study program and campus of their choice after senior high school studies. Participants of the activity understand the importance of knowing their interests and talents for the basis of decision making to choose a study program in college. Errors in making study programs can be prevented through analysis of academic grades obtained at school.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan lokal yang dimiliki masyarakat nelayan dalam menjaga keamanan lingkungan khususnya populasi lobster. Dalam tulisan ini difokuskan dengan memotret praktik-praktik yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat nelayan dalam melindungi keberadaan benih bening lobster (puerulus). Argumen utama dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan pengetahuan lokal yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat nelayan menciptakan ekosistem bening lobster yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori Ekologi Budaya dari Julian H. Steward. Teori ini menjelaskan bahwa interaksi manusia dengan lingkungan menciptakan pengetahuan lokal sehingga menjalin hubungan mutualisme diantara keduanya. Data penelitian terdiri dari data primer yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemerintah, lembaga adat, nelayan, dan pelaku usaha lobster sedangkan data sekunder dikumpulkan melalui jurnal ilmiah dan media massa online. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa ada beberapa praktik pengetahuan lokal yang berdampak dalam pelestarian bening lobster yaitu penangkapan bening lobster merupakan kegiatan degradasi progresif terhadap lobster, penjualan bening lobster tidak memiliki nilai instrinsik, pertumbuhan bening lobster lebih baik di alam daripada dipenangkaran, dan penggunaan alat tangkap tradisional dalam menangkap lobster.
