Abstract

The purpose of this paper is so that every parent understands their role in providing the first education before or after the child enters formal education in general. Often parents leave education problems to their teachers at school, but parents forget that education must start at home and parents are the teachers. By providing the first education at home through parents, the parents will be able to properly direct what are the goals or aspirations of the parents towards their children, both formally and in character. If parents do not neglect this, there will be many children who can be educated properly and correctly according to the expectations of the parents in the future. The research was conducted using qualitative methods by collecting data from bibliography of books and scientific journals as well as online media. It is hoped that this research can increase parental awareness in providing the first education to their children

Abstract

One of the main problems faced by every country in the world today is problem of poverty, the problem seems to be continuous and endless. Poverty is still the biggest problem in the world today because this problem involves life and death. Poor people cannot get out of their problems without the help of others. The problem is that the poor don't know who to turn to to help them. If God's people were faithful in doing good to the poor and needy people, then their lives would be the same as what Jesus exemplified in His life while living on earth, and people like that would receive salvation. The act of helping those in need, especially the poor, on the other hand, is a natural fruit of salvation and is based on what Christ did for His people at Calvary. This article qualitatively uses analytical, comparative, and argumentative methods. Comparatively, the ladder model which is too rigid and normative while taking into account other examples will be compared with the garden model, which assumes a plurality of types of spirituality. The result of this research is for everyone to understand the meaning of why it is so important to serve the poor. So that a Christian does not neglect his obligation to help people in need, because serving the poor is the same as doing it to Jesus.

Abstract

This life seems hopeless. Through Esther's story, it becomes an inspiration for everyone that His people have hope, have a future. The purpose of this research is so that every believer does not need to despair when the environment is not good, but remains enthusiastic, full of hope, full of submission to God, like what Esther did. This study uses a qualitative literature study method, by gathering useful theories to see gaps, conceptual support for the research topic. Esther is an inspirational figure in the lives of believers. The figure of Esther who lived without hope as an outcast and an orphan can be turned into a queen. All of this happened not because of luck but because of obedience, piety, humility and self-sacrifice which made him pleasing to everyone and especially to God

Abstract

Suffering and trials seem unavoidable in every aspect of life. Problems happen to everyone, even experienced by believers. Sometimes when trials occur, some think temptations come from God so they tend to make trouble with God. The purpose of this research is for every believer to understand that trials are not God's plan, but God allows trials to occur as a means of testing the faith of every one of His people. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods by analyzing and concluding data obtained from library sources such as the Bible, journals and books. Trials do not come from God, but when His people experience trials, God will be ready to provide help to give strength

Abstract

Crime is everywhere, from drugs, murder, drugs, free sex, to domestic violence which ends in divorce. This event is often encountered because of sin, where after the fall humans tend to commit sins. To overcome this problem, a savior is needed, namely Jesus Christ, where everyone needs to realize their mistakes by asking for forgiveness and repenting. The purpose of this research is for everyone to be aware of the problem of sin, and realize the need for salvation so that the problem of sin can be overcome which is increasingly rampant in every aspect of life. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing data from reliable sources and concluding it according to the research object. Sin can only be resolved by Jesus Christ through his sacrifice on the cross. Everyone who wants to be saved just needs to come to Jesus to admit his mistake and believe in him as a savior

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam konteks modern seringkali dihadapkan pada kompleksitas yang menuntut landasan etika yang kuat untuk mengatasi tantangan-tantangan yang muncul. Dalam pandangan ini, integrasi nilai-nilai Kristen dalam kepemimpinan kontemporer menawarkan pendekatan yang bermakna dan relevan. Nilai-nilai seperti integritas, kredibilitas, komitmen, bertanggungjawab, kerendahan hati, dan pelayanan yang terkandung dalam ajaran Kristen dapat menjadi landasan bagi kepemimpinan yang beretika dan bermakna. Namun, pertanyaannya adalah bagaimana nilai-nilai ini dapat diaplikasikan dan berdampak dalam dunia organisasi yang berubah dengan cepat. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menggali potensi dan dampak dari integrasi nilai-nilai Kristen dalam kepemimpinan kontemporer. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, yaitu dengan menganalisis teks-teks Kitab Suci, tulisan-tulisan teologis, serta literatur terkait karakteristik kepemimpinan Kristen. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi pemimpin, organisasi, dan lembaga pendidikan tentang bagaimana mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Kristen dalam kepemimpinan kontemporer secara efektif. Dalam dunia yang terus berubah, nilai-nilai ini memberikan fondasi yang stabil dan beretika untuk mengarahkan kepemimpinan menuju tujuan yang lebih bermakna dan berdampak positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami pemahaman roh nubuat di kalangan orang muda Gereja Masehi Advent Hari Ketujuh (GMAHK) dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Dalam konteks masyarakat modern yang dipenuhi dengan perubahan dan tantangan, pemahaman nubuat-nubuat Alkitab memiliki peran yang penting dalam membentuk keyakinan dan praktik keagamaan orang muda. Temuan ini menggambarkan kompleksitas dalam pembentukan pemahaman nubuat dan mengidentifikasi tantangan serta peluang dalam mengajar dan memahami nubuat-nubuat Alkitab. Kesimpulan penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang pentingnya nubuat dalam kehidupan orang muda GMAHK dan menawarkan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan pendekatan pengajaran dan pendidikan roh nubuat di gereja tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan iman dan keterlibatan orang muda dalam GMAHK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguraikan peran penting pendeta dalam pertumbuhan gereja secara kualitas dan kuantitas. Gereja-gereja seringkali menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik internal maupun eksternal, yang memerlukan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang identitas gereja dan tujuannya. Kesadaran akan masalah-masalah tersebut dan kemampuan menghadapinya adalah faktor kunci dalam mengalami pertumbuhan gereja. Pembinaan dan pemuridan anggota gereja memainkan peran fundamental dalam membangun fondasi yang kokoh untuk pertumbuhan gereja tersebut. Peran pendeta dalam konteks gereja sangatlah penting karena mereka dipanggil dan ditetapkan oleh Allah untuk memimpin dan menggembalakan jemaat. Dengan kata lain, Allah mengangkat gembala untuk menggembalakan gereja (Efesus 4:11). Di era modern, peran pendeta semakin kompleks karena gereja-gereja sering berada di tengah masyarakat yang beragam, terutama di kota-kota besar, dengan perbedaan suku, status sosial, dan latar belakang pendidikan yang beragam. Pendeta harus memiliki pemahaman yang mendalam tentang peran mereka dalam pertumbuhan gereja. Mereka bertanggung jawab melayani, mengajar, melawat, membina, dan memuridkan anggota gereja agar mereka dapat tumbuh dan berperan aktif dalam pelayanan gereja. Selain itu, pendeta juga mengorganisir pertemuan kelompok distrik, mendelegrasikan tugas melalui kelompok kecil, dan menyelenggarakan ibadah kebangunan rohani untuk membawa jiwa-jiwa baru atau orang-orang yang bertobat kepada Tuhan Yesus agar menjadi anggota gereja-Nya.

Abstract

This research explores an in-depth understanding of the Prophet Isaiah's message about the strength of faith in facing times of trial, with a focus on analyzing the meaning of fasting in the context described in Isaiah 58:6-10. This research aims to understand how the Prophet Isaiah became an example of the strength of faith through the teachings of fasting, in line with his theological and contextual understanding. Text and context analysis methods are used to detail the meaning and implications of fasting in Isaiah's writings, with the aim of identifying teachings that can empower people to strengthen their faith during times of trial. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to practical and theological understanding of the power of faith in the context of trials, especially through understanding the message of the Prophet Isaiah about the meaning of fasting.

Abstract

Abstract This research discusses the effectiveness of leadership management in the context of a church. The church, as a Christian community, possesses distinct characteristics, including the diverse backgrounds of its members in terms of age, occupation, education, and social status. Unlike other organizations with financial orientations, the church aims to fulfill the spiritual needs of its members, emphasizing a focus on conformity to Christ. Church leaders are expected not only to exercise authority for regulation but also to empower the congregation. Effective church leadership involves empowerment, exploration of potentials, and acceptance of differences. Church leaders play a crucial role in the effective growth of the church, and leadership management is key to achieving the church's vision and mission. The research methodology employed is a qualitative descriptive approach with literature review. In-depth analysis of the concept of leadership management in the church is conducted by connecting information from various sources, including books, journals, articles, and relevant websites. The findings indicate that the understanding of the church involves spiritual and organizational dimensions, necessitating effective leadership management. Leadership centered on biblical values, resource management, and the empowerment of congregation members becomes crucial in attaining church goals. The differences and uniqueness of the church demand leaders to implement suitable leadership styles, such as democracy, to support the potential of each member. From this research, it can be observed that effective leadership management in the church plays a crucial role in achieving spiritual and organizational objectives. Church leaders need to develop strategies in line with the church's characteristics and leverage the potential of congregation members for sustainable growth.
