Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between depression levels, nutritional status and elderly health status at Karawang. This type of research was observational with a cross sectional study conducted in July 2018 with a total subject of 50 people (total sampling), using instructional questionnaires (elderly nutritional status, disease history, level of depression) and measurement of nutritional status. Analyze by chi-square. The results obtained showed that there was a correlation between depression level and health status (p = 0,000), and there was no correlation between nutritional status and elderly health status (p = 0,708). Keywords: elderly, nutritional status, level of depression, health status

Abstract

Remaja merupakan masa transisi dari anak-anak menuju dewasa. Pada masa ini, remaja akan lebih memprioritaskan citra tubuh (body image). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan body image pada remaja di Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional study. Jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 66 siswa SMA yang diambil dengan purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hanya pengetahuan mengenai body image dan ideal body image berhubungan dengan body image (p-value < 0.000). Pengetahuan gizi remaja perlu ditingkatkan melalui pendidikan gizi agar mampu memperbaiki persepsi mereka tentang body image. Kata kunci : citra tubuh, remaja, Karawang

Abstract

Sumatran lichen has the potential as antiviral, pure isolates that have been isolated and developed as prospective compounds for COVID-19 treatment. Computational methods were used to accelerate the discovery and screening of potential new compounds. The molecular structures of the isolated compounds such as Lobarin, Atranorin, Methyl 2,4-dihydroxy-3,6-dimethylbenzoate, Methyl 3‐formyl‐2,4‐dihydroxy‐6‐methylbenzoate, Ethyl 3-formyl-2,4-dihydroxy-6-methylbenzoate, and Lobaric acid were drawn, then their activities were analyzed, processed by docking with ACE2 protein, and tested for Druglikeness. The activities and druglikeness were determined in the Swiss ADME program, while the ACE2 docking was processed by Blind Docking in Arguslab, AutoDock Vina, Open Babel, and Discovery Studio Visualizer programs. All compounds bound to the ACE2 protein, as apparent from the number of hydrogen bonds between the two. The Gibbs free energy was in the range of -5.6 to -7.0, and the best one was obtained from atranorin. As for lobarin, this compound was found to be non-drug-like.

Abstract

AbstrakMakanan jajanan di sekitar kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) cukup bervariasi. Pada umumnya konsumen dan pedagang tidak banyak mengetahui tentang  keamanan pangan padahal pada makanan jajanan mungkin  terdapat bahaya–bahaya seperti bahaya fisik, kimia, maupun mikrobiologis yang dapat mengganggu kesehatan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat keamanan pangan serta mengetahui bahaya-bahaya yang terdapat pada makanan jajanan di sekitar kampus UMP. Penelitian dilakukan secara survey pada pedagang dan konsumen dengan teknik wawancara dan secara laboratorium untuk menguji sampel makanan jajanan yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode spearman rank correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan pada pedagang dan konsumen mempengaruhi tingkat keamanan pangan makanan jajajan di sekitar kampus UMP. Pada sampel yang diambil ditemukan bahaya fisik berupa rambut dan kerikil pada 3 sampel makanan jajanan (21%) dan semua  sampel uji positif mengandung mikroba E. Coli. Akan tetapi untuk bahaya kimiawi, pada semua sampel tidak terdeteksi adanya methanyl yellow. Kata Kunci : Keamanan Pangan, Makanan jajanan, bahaya fisik, methanyl yellow, Eschericia coli

Abstract

Flavonoid merupaka komponen fitokimia yang memiliki efek protefktif untuk kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan asupan total flavonoid mahasiswa kesehatan dan non-kesehatan di Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan 60 subjek dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Asupan flavonoid dinilai menggunakan food recall 24-H. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata±SD asupan total flavonoid subjek penelitian sebesar 171.9±115.7 mg/hari. Selain itu, hasil uji bivariat menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan asupan total flavonoid antara mahasiswa kesehatan dan non-kesehatan (p-value>0,05). Tetapi terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan asupan subkelas flavonoid antara mahasiswa kesehatan dan non-kesehatan, yaitu flavan-3-ol (p-value=0,004), flavanon (p-value=0,000), flavonol (p-value=0,045) dan isoflavon (p-value=0,012). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa asupan total flavonoid tidak berbeda berdasarkan kategori mahasiswa.

Abstract

Fruits and vegetables consumption are important for our health but its consumption is low especially for teeneger. High school student are the vulnerable age group for consumption of fruits and vegetables. Their eating habits will give the impact for their growth, development and health in the future. SMAN 1 Telukjambe students tend to eat fast food and rarely consume fruits and vegetables. The purpose of this activity is to motivate and increase the awareness and comsumption of fruits and vegetables of the participants. The method used in this activity was counseling using food model and questionnaire on pretest and posttest with category of knowledge, preference, and consumption of 28 students SMAN 1 Telukjambe Timur. The result of this activity will be descriptive analysis. The result showed that after counseling, students knowledge about fruits and vegetables were increase by amount 80%. Students preference of fruits were 92% positive and students preference of vegetables were 79% positive. But in contrast, their consumption just 4% for fruits and 25% for vegetables. So, it is expected to increased students awareness and students consumption of fruits and vegetables after this activity.

Abstract

Terubuk or Saccharum edule Hassk is one of the indigenous vegetables and is native to Southeast Asia. Terubuk has the potential to be developed and can increase its economic value. However, so far, its utilization has not been maximized and is still limited to simple processing techniques such as making fresh vegetables, steaming, sautéing, lodeh vegetables, curry mixture, tamarind vegetables, fried, and used as animal feed so that it is necessary to diversify with more modern and practical processing technology. This community service activity aims to increase homemakers' knowledge about using local food in Karawang, especially terubuk. The method used in this activity is public education through lectures, questions and answers, and discussions. The participants of this activity were Kosambi housewives totaling 16 people. The results of the service there is an increase in the percentage of pre-post test knowledge. Increased knowledge of homemakers can be used as a community empowerment model in increasing knowledge of making healthy, easy, and inexpensive snacks.

Abstract

Sejak tahun 2020 telah terjadi pandemi covid-19 yang memberikan dampak pada masyarakat secara ekonomi, seperti penurunan pendapatan bahkan kehilangan pekerjaan. Hal tersebut berdampak pada menurunnya akses pangan masyarakat Indonesia. Salah satu upaya untuk menangani masalah kekurangan pangan di tingkat rumah tangga adalah pembuatan home gardening. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang manfaat dan tata cara home gardening. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan dalam bentuk webinar yang dilakukan melalui Zoom dan Youtube. Metode yang digunakan untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan menggunakan kuesioner online (pre-test dan post-test) yang diisi oleh 56 peserta kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil pengambilan data didapatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan kategori baik sebanyak 53,6% dan kategori sangat baik 32,1%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang baik terhadap peserta, berupa peningkatan pengetahuan tentang home gardening.Since 2020, there has been a Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on reducing income and losing jobs. This had an impact of decreasing food access for the Indonesian people. One of the efforts to address food insecurity at the household level is home gardening. Therefore, the aim of this activity is to educate the public about the benefits and procedures of home gardening. Community service activities are carried out in the form of webinars which are conducted through Zoom and Youtube. The method used to assess the increase in knowledge used an online questionnaire (pre-test and post-test) which was filled in by 56 participants. Based on the results, it was found that there was an increase in good category knowledge as much as 53.6% and very good category 32.1%. This shows that this activity has a good impact in the form of increasing participants' knowledge about home gardening.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui minat masyarakat daerah Kabupaten Bekasi – Karawang mengenai olahan makanan dengan bahan dasar dari umbi - umbian. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat atau pembaca tentang karakteristik mutu umbi – umbian, jenis – jenis umbi, cara penyimpan beserta dengan cara pengolahan dengan bahan baku umbi - umbian . Umbi – umbian yang umum digunakan adalah ubi jalar, singkong, kentang, dan juga talas. Umbi – umbian dapat dikatakan sebagai bahan pangan pengganti nasi, karena memiliki kandungan karbohidrat dan pati yang tinggi, sehingga mampu memberikan energy yang cukup banyak bagi tubuh. Umbi biasa di konsumsi dengan hanya direbus ataupun terdapat beberapa umbi yang bisa langsung dimakan dikarenakan kadar racun yang relative rendah.

Abstract

AbstractMilk is a source of protein that has high quality because of its complete nutritional content suchas protein around 3.5% with fat content around 3.0-3.8%. Milk is also a good source ofphosphorus and is very rich in calcium. However, the level of milk consumption in Indonesiais still relatively low. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), milk consumption inIndonesia is only 12.1 L/capita per year. Thus, milk consumption in Indonesia, especially inschool-age children, needs special attention. This study aims to determine the level of parentalconcern for giving milk to school-age children. This study used a descriptive-analytical methoddesign by using a questionnaire. The results showed that giving milk to school children wasrecommended to consume milk in one day. Therefore, it can be concluded that parents careabout giving milk to school-age children.Keywords : level of concern, Growth Period, Milk
