Abstract

This research were conducted using the plant growth regulator treatment plan consists of three threatments (without ZPT, ZPT superior plant growth (hantu), and ZPT gibgrow). Environmental design used was a complete randomized design with six replications. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and multiple range test DMRT level of 5%. The results obtained are given ZPT hydroponic growing media to improve the growth and yield pakcoy, and ZPT hantu is best to plant growth substances.

Abstract

Well managed waste will improve the quality of the environment and the health of the community, recycling plastic waste by itself helps the government in managing waste, especially management is done professionally and commercially, so that it becomes a profitable business. The solutions offered from the problems faced by partners include providing training in managing waste plastic bottles into imitation flowers, and providing motivation to partners that the products will be marketed by UP2K. through the UP2K, the Unilak leadership policy will be realized to open a market monopoly to sell imitation flower bouquets and souvenirs from plastic bottles of mineral water. Output targets are articles in journals, exposure to activities in online media, increasing partner skills. The method of implementing this PKM activity is among others: Counseling, demonstration, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activities obtained were counseling about inorganic waste increasing the knowledge of participants 17% - 33%, knowledge of the benefits of used plastic bottles, after activities increased by 17% -25%, and knowledge about changing the shape of used plastic bottles to imitation flowers increased by 67% -83%.

Abstract

AbstrakPekanbaru merupakan salah satu kota yang penduduk aslinya adalah suku melayu. Sehingga seluruh kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam prosesi kelahiran, pernikahan sampai kematian akan dialaksanakan sesuai dengan adat istiadat melayu. Pada prosesi pernikahan, masyarakat melayu di kota memberikan souvenir yang lebih beragam, dan melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan souvenir yang diberikan sesuai dengan adat melayu dan sesuai dengan kompetensi keilmuan Tim pelaksana. Target kegiatan PKM ini adalah mitra mampu memodifikasi saputangan handuk ke dalam bentuk produk pertanian yang dapat digunakan sebagai souvenir pengantin melayu. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada kelompok Salimah di Kelurahan Rumbai pesisir Kota Pekanbaru pada tanggal 13 Desember 2017, jumlah peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sebanyak 32 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyadaran/penyuluhan, demonstrasi, uji coba, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh adalah 80% peserta meningkat pengetahuannya tentang pembuatan souvenir pengantin melayu.Kata Kunci : Souvenir, saputangan handuk, modifikasi, produk pertanian, melayu AbstractPekanbaru is one of the cities where the original inhabitants are Malay. So that all activities undertaken in the procession of birth, marriage to death will be executed in accordance with the Malay customs. In the procession of marriage, people in Malay city provide more diverse souvenirs, and through community service activities is expected souvenirs are given in accordance with customary Malay and in accordance with the scientific competence of the Implementing Team. Target of this PKM activity is partner able to modify handkerchief of towel into the form of agricultural product that can be used as souvenir of Malay bride. The activity was carried out at Salimah Group in Rumbai Urban Village Pekanbaru City on December 13, 2017, the number of participants who follow this activity as many as 32 people. The methods used are awareness / extension, demonstration, trial, and evaluation. The result of the activity is 80% of participants increase their knowledge about making souvenir of Malay bride.Keywords: Souvenir, handkerchief towel, modification, agricultural product, Malay

Abstract

Abstrak Teknik budidaya konvensional dengan menggunakan media tanam tanah menimbulkan masalah.  Masalah yang dihadapi adalah ketersediaan tanah untuk proses budidaya sulit didapat, dan harganya mahal.  Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lancang Kuning (Faperta UNILAK)  memperkenalkan Sistem budidaya hidroponik, dengan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan yang harganya lebih murah. Kelompok mitra pada umumnya lebih menggemari budidaya dengan menggunakan air sebagai media tanam dibandingkan dengan media tanah, karena lebih bersih, dan bisa dijadikan pajangan yang bernilai estetika lebih tinggi.  Tujuan kegiatan IbM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra dalam melakukan budidaya sayur dengan sistem hidroponik.  Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan adalah dengan cara: 1) penyuluhan. 2) demontrasi.  3) bantuan paket teknologi, dan 4) pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan peserta tentang budidaya hidroponik meningkat setelah mengikuti kegiatan P2M ini.  Peningkatan pengetahuan ini disebabkan adanya demonstrasi, dan peserta dibekali alat dan bahan untuk mempraktekan sendiri. Sehingga minat untuk melakukan budidaya hidroponik peserta juga meningkat. Kata Kunci: Hidroponik, Budidaya, dan Air. Abstract Conventional cultivation techniques by using a planting medium ground pose a problem. The problem faced is the availability of land for cultivation process is hard to come by, and expensive. The community service team from Faperta UNILAK introduce hydroponic cultivation system, by utilizing materials that are cheaper. Partner groups are generally more fond of cultivation by using water as a growing medium compared to medium soil, because it is free, and can be used as a display estetique higher. The objective of community service activity is to increase the knowledge partner in doing vegetable farming with hydroponics system. The method used to achieve the objectives are to: 1) extension. 2) demonstration. 3) aid package technology, and 4) assistance. The results concluded that the activities of the participants' knowledge about hydroponic cultivation increased after following this P2M activity. Increased knowledge is due to the demonstrations, and participants were given tools and materials for the practice itself. So the interest to do hydroponic cultivation of participants also increased.  Keywords: Hydroponics, cultivation, and Water.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lancang Kuning. The study was conducted for 3 months from September to November 2015. This study is a descriptive research, where the first process is the process of making organic fertilizer derived from pineapple skin waste fermented for 1 month POC that has been taken samplenya and tested in the laboratory to determine the content of micro and macro nutrients and C-organicnya. To measure macro and micro nutrient content, the test method used was Kjeldahl for nitrogen content, while for P, K, CaO, MgO and Fe, the Atomic Absobtion spectrophometric (AAS) method was used and the C-organic content was tested by spectrophometric method. The results showed that POC of Pineapple Skin Waste contained P 23,63 ppm, K 08,25 ppm, N 01,27%, Ca 27,55 ppm, Mg 137,25 ppm, Na 79,52 ppm, Na 79, 52 ppm , Fe 1,27 ppm, Mn 28,75 ppm, Cu 0,17 ppm, Zn 0,53 ppm and C Organic 3,10%.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to examine the factors that caused melon harvesting age in Pekanbaru faster than in the melon-producing regions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the discussion found that the factors that influence the harvesting age of melon in Pekanbaru City are the water stress condition, the unfulfilled essential ingredients, the insufficient planting medium of organic matter, the importance of growth regulators that can enlarge the fruit and maintain the age of the plant, environmental modification.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain sweet corn varieties that can be cultivated Pekanbaru. The method used is an experimental method to design treatment 5 varieties of sweet corn that is v1 = Sugar 75; v2 = Star Asia; v3 = Bonanza; v4 = Sagita sweet; v5 = Master sweet, and using a completely randomized design environment and repeated 6 times. Parameter observation is plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, length cob without husk (cm), weight berkelobot cob, cob weight without berkelobot (g), and seed sugar content (%). The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by DMRT multiple range test at 5%. Asia Star varieties are best varieties, followed by varetas sagita Sweet.

Abstract

Research conducted experiments using a completely randomized design environment with three replications, and design of treatment that is the time of planting silk kale as secondary crops to the cultivation of sweet corn (K) consisting of: k1 = planting at the same time; k2 = time of planting silk kale 1 week after planting sweet corn; k3 = time of planting silk kale 2 weeks after planting sweet corn; k4 = time of planting silk kale 3 weeks after planting sweet corn; K5 = single planting sweet corn planting time = k1; k6 = single silk kale planting time = k1. The results showed that silk kale can be planted together with sweet corn planting time, up to three weeks after planting sweet corn. Results of sweet corn is not influenced by the timing of planting different silk kale. Land values in the cropping system Equality sweet corn with silk kale is 1.83. Competition index between sweet corn and silk kale is 1.73.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Lingkungan Acak Lengkap, dan Rancangan Perlakuan 3 jenis varietas (V) jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata) yaitu v1 = Varietas Sweet Boy, v2 = Varietas Super Sweet, dan v3 = Varietas Bonanza. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Sidik Ragam, dan parameter yang diamati adalah panjang tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol berkelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, dan kandungan gula biji jagung manis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa varietas Bonanza lebih baik dibandingkan kedua varietas yang lain, diman berat tongkol tanpa kelobot adalah 295 g, dan kadar gula biji adalah 15,3 %.

Abstract

ABSTRACTTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan waktu panen yang tepatdengan melihat kadar gula biji jagung manis yang paling baik. Penelitiandilakukan secara eksperimen, dengan perlakuan waktu panen yang berbeda yaitupukul 8.00, 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00, dan 17.00. Analisa data denganmenggunakan Regresi Polinomial, peubah yang diamati adalah Kadar gula bijijagung manis. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa kadar gula optimum =14.82% diperoleh pada waktu panen pukul 17.00, berdasarkan persamaan regresiy= 8.527 + 0.727 x - 0.022 x2 , dan r2 = 0.782
