Abstract

This study examine the role of Corporate governance (proxied by audit committee independence variables, institutional ownership, independent commissioners, board size) and enterprise risk management in predicting the emergence of corporate financial distress. The research design is quantitative. The research object or population studied is mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2016-2021. The method used for determining the research sample is purposive sampling, namely determining the sample from the existing population based on predetermined criteria obtaining research sample of 132 observations. All data sets are sourced from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. This study is employing Panel Regression Analysis including descriptive statistics analysis, correlation, and hypothesis testing using the EViews 12 software. The result posits that institutional ownership has a significant positive effect on financial distress, while the independence of the audit committee, independent commissioners, board size, enterprise risk management do not have a significant impact on financial distress. Further, the control variable of this study, namely company size, has a significant negative effect on financial distress. This study is expected to have significant contribution to Mining enterprise’s stakeholder in examining prominent factors in predicting financial distress.

Abstract

The New Pelita Motor Shop is an MSME business located in Batam City that sells various types of batteries, spare parts, and power window repair services. In the marketing strategy, New Pelita Motor uses the promotion of marketing through digital marketing which aims to develop a wider selling market through digital concepts, and also this concept will make it easier in the process of spending. With this, the output of the results of the implementation can be accepted by the New Pelita Motor, such as Google Business, and Linktree which makes it easier to access the shop's social media and also develops social media for the New Pelita Motor.

Abstract

Koko Tua is one of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Batam City which operates in the sales and service sector of watches and also trades watches. While this business has been established for 4 years, currently Koko Tua records their sales using manual techniques, namely using notebooks and there is no recording of goods or inventory. The aim of this activity is to design a purchasing, sales and inventory recording system that is accurate, simple and easy to use in recording Koko Tua MSME transactions in their daily operational activities. The collection techniques used in implementing system design include interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this activity show that the designed purchase, sales and inventory recording system has proven to be accurate, simple and easy to use in recording Koko Tua MSME transactions. The recording system implemented is expected to be able to support the process of recording transactions and compiling transaction reports as well as serving as a warning system in controlling store inventory availability.
