Abstract

This qualitative research explores the role of Islamic law in shaping the identity and business ethics of Muslims in West Java, Indonesia. This research investigates how Islamic principles and cultural norms interact to influence ethical decision-making and identity formation among Muslim business owners. Through semi-structured interviews and document analysis, this research uncovers themes of integration between Islamic teachings and local customs, the impact of Islamic ethics on business behavior, the relationship between adherence to Islamic principles and self-identity, and the challenges faced in aligning religious obligations with economic reality. The findings highlight the synergy between religion and culture, the ethical foundation provided by Islamic principles, and strategies used to deal with challenges. The implications of this research include both theoretical understanding and practical application, offering insights for policy makers, business people, and religious leaders in promoting ethical and culturally sensitive business practices.

Abstract

As part of social rights, the fulfillment and the protection of the right to higher education is guaranteed through positive state action. The State is responsible for developing and maintaining an education system and educational institutions for everyone without discrimination. The State ensures the fulfillment of the right of education, including higher education, which must respond to students' needs different social and cultural conditions. Migrant workers are one of the groups with special needs for higher education. The lack of availability and accessibility (distance and time) of higher education in the destination country leads to the neglect of the migrant workers' more elevated education rights. Migrant workers have equal rights with other Indonesian citizens to get the right to non-discrimination education. This study addresses the protection of the right to higher education for Indonesian migrant workers in Hong Kong. Through a normative juridical approach, this research discusses the right to higher education, the guarantee of the right to higher education for migrant workers in international treaties, and the effort of Universitas Terbuka to fulfill requests to higher education for Indonesian Migrant Worker the higher education through distance learning for Indonesia migrant workers who are Universitas Terbuka's students in Hong Kong.

Abstract

Violence in the world of education is a shared responsibility, not only the responsibility of the school but the community (parents) also have an important role in preventing violence in the world of education. The problem of bullying is a problem that often occurs in educational institutions and at SMA Dharma Karya there is still bullying between students, although the bullying does not amount to serious cases, but students' understanding of bullying is very necessary so that students know the dangers of these actions. the. The implementation of activities was carried out with initial coordination, then the socialization was carried out on June 9 2023 and monitoring of activities was carried out on August 22 2023. The results of the socialization on bullying prevention among Dharma Karya High School students showed that 75 people had experienced bullying, 102 people felt that they were not. have experienced bullying.
