Abstract

Koya Barat village is one of the areas in Jayapura City which has high incidence of malaria. Malaria cases in this region are affected by local conditions, including the climate and environment of aquatic habitats.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of climatic factors and habitat characteristics on Anopheleslarval density in Koya Barat village. The method used is field observation with descriptive and statistical analysis approach.The results showed that there are four parameters that significantly affect on larval density, namely rainfall, air temperature, water temperature and salinity. The relationship between rainfall with the larval density in freshwater permanent habitat is negative linear. While in brackish water permanent habitat and semi permanent habitat is non-linear (2nd order polynomial). The relationship between air temperature, water temperature and salinity with the larval density in freshwater habitat are positive linear, while in brackish water habitat and semi permanent habitat are negative linear.

Abstract

Malaria is still a public health problem in Jayapura City. The disease is spread throughout the region withvarying number of cases. Increased transmission of malaria is affected by local conditions, including rainfall,habitat characteristics and larval habitats distribution. The aims of study were to describe habitat characteristicsand spatial distribution a habitat of positive of an Anopheles larvae spp based on rainfall in Heram District,Jayapura City. The method used is field observation with descriptive and statistical analysis approach. The resultsshowed that there were 6 breeding site Anopheles Mosquito in Heram District, namely rain puddle, puddles,moats, ponds, rivers and former tire tread. The habitat was found in Waena and Yabansai village. The larvalhabitat area is 0.04-28 m2, water depth 5-115 cm, water temperature 26.7-3.7 and water pH 6.7-7.7. A habitat ofpositive of an Anopheles larval spp were significantly affected by rainfall ie puddle (p=0.000; r=0.69), rain puddle(p=0.000; r=0.87), moats (p=0.000; r=0.57), former tire tread (p=0.047; r=0.34), pond (p= 0.000; r=0.57) andrivers (p=0.007; r=0.46 ) with determinant coefficients ranging between 0.11-0.77. Conclusion of the results ofthe study showed that rainfall affected a habitat of positive of an Anopheles larval spp in Heram District

Abstract

Curah hujan merupakan salah satu unsur iklim yang sangat penting dalam mendukung kelangsungan kehidupan di bumi. Namun demikian, curah hujan dengan kejadian ekstrim sering menjadi masalah bagi manusia dan lingkungan karena menimbulkan risiko kerugian materil maupun non materil. Kota Jayapura merupakan salah satu daerah di Papua yang memiliki curah hujan yang cukup tinggi dan sangat fluktuatif. Adanya kejadian ekstrim dan kecenderungan perubahan pola curah hujan, memerlukan analisis untuk mengetahui karakteristik, kejadian ekstrim dan pola perubahan curah hujan yang terjadi. Dengan demikian diharapkan dapat memberikan konstribusi untuk prakiraan curah hujan ekstrim, sehingga mampu mengurangi dampak negatif bagi masyarakat. Pada Penelitian ini,data curah hujan Kota Jayapura disusun dalam bentuk data deret waktu vertical. Data yang hilang (tidak teramati) diisi dengan nilai rata-rata curah hujan bulan yang sama selama periode pengamatan kemudian dibagi dengan banyaknya data yang tersedia. Tahap berikutnya melakukan analisis spektral, menentukan karakteristik curah hujan, menentukan kejadian curah hujan ekstrim dan menentukan trend curah hujan bulanan dan dasarian di Kota Jayapura. Data dianalisis menggunakan Fast Fourier Transform dan analisis statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa periodisitas curah hujan yang memiliki nilai kekuatan kerapatan spectral (KKS) yang tertinggi yaitu 11,63 atau dibulatkan menjadi 12 bulan/siklus.  Hal ini menginformasikan bahwa karakteristik perubahan curah hujan di Kota jayapura cenderung akan mengalami kenaikan atau penurunan curah hujan setiap ± 12 bulan sekali. Selain itu, curah hujan ekstrim di wilayah  kota Jayapura terjadi hampir setiap bulan. Kondisi ini terus meningkat mengikuti kecnderungan curah hujan yang juga terus meningkat akibat telah bergesernya bulan lembab ke bulan basah.

Abstract

Training on developing physics learning media for high school physics teachers in Abepura and surrounding areas was carried out on 15 and 16 August 2019 at computer laboratory of physics department. The aim of the training is to motivate and improve the ability of teachers to create virtual learning media as alternative physic learning media so as to improve the quality of teaching and physics learning.  The method used to support the success of this program is in the form of training, demonstration and practice or tutorial using matlab program. The results of the implementation of service activities felt by the team and the training participants were very satisfying, with indicators of participant activity in each activity process, and participating in training enthusiastically. The training of create  physics learning media for senior high school teachers in the community service program that has been implemented is expected to provide understanding and also the ability of teachers to design physics learning media using computers that will have an impact on increasing teaching and learning productivity and professionalism of physics teachers in senior high school. Keywords: learning media, Matlab, physic teachers

Abstract

Matahari sebagai pengendali utama iklim memancarkan gelombang elektormagnetik dalam bentuk radiasi gelombang pendek yang menembus atmosfer hingga sampai kepermukaan bumi. Tinggi rendahnya suhu udara di atmosfer ditentukan oleh besar kecilnya intensitas radiasi matahari yang masuk ke atmosfer bumi. Salah satu factor yang mempengaruhi intensitas radiasi matahari adalah bintik matahari (sunspot). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara sunspot terhadap unsur-unsur iklim di wilayah Papua. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuntitaif melalui analisis trend dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bilangan sunspot bulanan selama periode tahun 2012 hingga tahun 2021 memiliki trend yang menurun sedangkan unsur-unsur iklim, suhu udara, kelembaban udara,dan curah hujan memiliki trend yang beravarisi pada setiap stasiun. Adapun hubungan antara bilangan sunspot dengan unsur-unsur iklim menunjukkan hubungan searah dan berlawan arah dengan korelasi berkisar antara -0,03 sampai 0,36.
