One complementary therapy that can be used as an alternative is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) therapy. The aim of Evidence Based Practice Nursing is to determine the effect of Therapy (EFT) on reducing anxiety levels in adolescents at SMAN 2 Ciamis. This research method uses a Quasy Experiment one group pretest and posttest design approach. The population is teenagers with smoking behavior who experience anxiety at SMAN 2 Ciamis. Using purposive sampling. The number of samples using the Slovin formula was 23 students with inclusion criteria of moderate anxiety levels. The results of the study, before and after the intervention, were assessed using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory - Trait (STAI-T) anxiety questionnaire to assess whether there was a decrease in anxiety levels before and after the intervention (EFT) with the procedure of tapping or pressing meridian points on body to restore energy balance. The intervention for implementing EFT is carried out within 25-30 minutes, 4 times (2 weeks). From the statistical test results, it was found that there was a significant difference in the results of the first assessment and the second assessment before and after the intervention (EFT) with a p-value of 0.000 (P<0.05). In conclusion, the application of EFT intervention has proven to be effective for adolescents who experience anxiety, this is proven by a decrease in anxiety levels after the intervention.

Abstract

Smoking is a habit or behavior that is very difficult to quit, especially for adolescents. To be able to stop smoking behavior, a strong belief (self-efficacay) is needed from the adolescent to stop smoking. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of empowerment through digital media on the self-efficacy of adolescent smokers at Senior High School. Method This study used a quasi-experimental design through a group pre-test and post-test design. The sampling technique was through convenience sampling, which amounted to 28 respondents. Collecting research data using the SEQ 12 (Smoking Self-Efficacy Questionaire) questionnaire instrument given at the pre-test and post-test stages. The collected data is then analyzed, which includes univariate analysis, namely analysis of demographic data and bivariate analysis to determine the effect of empowerment using digital media on the self-efficacy of adolescent smokers at SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis using the Wilcoxon test because the normality test results show abnormal data distribution. The results of the Wilcoxon test with a p-value of 0.002 <0.05, which means that there is a significant effect of empowerment using digital media on the self-efficacy of adolescent smokers at Senior High School. The conclusion based on the research that has been done is that empowerment with digital media has an effect on increasing the self-efficacy of adolescents to quit smoking.

Abstract

With the increasing prevalence of diabetes mellitus, patient self-management education is an important concern. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of community-based self-management education on blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. Method this study used a quasi-experimental design through a group pre-test and post-test design. The sampling technique was through convenience sampling, which amounted to 31 respondents. Data analysis includes univariate analysis, namely analysis of demographic data, and bivariate analysis to determine the effect of self-management education on lowering blood glucose levels using paired sample t-test. The results of the paired simple t-test with p-value <0.05 showed that there was a significant effect of self-management education on reducing blood glucose levels, knowledge level, behavior, visits to health facilities and medication adherence. However, there was no effect of self-management education on BMI. Conclusion Community-based self-management education has a significant effect on reducing blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Ciamis Health Center working area.

With the development of nursing science and practice, it is important for nurses to make efforts to control TB, one of the nursing interventions that can be developed in a family-centred TB control programme is counselling and education. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of counselling and education in improving TB treatment adherence in the Puskesmas Ciamis working area. This study is a quantitative study with Quasy experimental design with non-randomised control group design. The population of this study were all TB patients in Puskesmas Ciamis Working Area, a total of 28 patients divided into intervention and control groups. This research was conducted from August 2023 to January 2024. The research instruments used were questionnaires which has been tested for validity and reliability and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate techniques with paired t-test and independent t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in medication adherence before and after the provision of counselling and education in the intervention and control groups. The intervention group experienced a more significant increase in medication adherence p-value 0.027 < 0.05 compared to the control group p-value 0.030 < 0.05, while the comparison of the increase in the intervention and control groups showed a p-value of 0.021 < 0.05. Conclusions: There is a significant effect of the application of counselling and education to improve compliance with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Health Information Package Program (HIPP) is a structured and planned health education programme that has been shown to be effective in increasing knowledge, adherence to iron supplementation, food choices and Hb levels in people with anaemia. This study aims to determine the effect of HIPP implementation on adolescent girls with anaemia in SMAN 2 Ciamis. Method: This study is a quantitative study with Quasy experimental design one group pre-post design. The population of this study were all adolescents suffering from anaemia at SMA Negeri Ciamis as many as 98 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and obtained 30 respondents. This research was conducted for 2 months from December 2023 to January 2024. The research instruments used were questionnaires which has been tested for validity and reliability, mobile phones and observation sheets. Data analysis was done using univariate and bivariate techniques with paired t-test. The results showed that students' knowledge about anaemia had a p-value of 0.330 > 0.05, students' ability to choose food had a p-value of 0.738 > 0.05, students' compliance with taking TTD had a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, students' Hb values had a p-value of 0.009 < 0.05. There is a significant effect of HIPP implementation on adherence to taking blood supplement tablets and Hb levels, but this study also shows no effect of HIPP implementation on knowledge and ability to choose foods.
