Abstract

Honesty has discussed in various disciplines. Honesty studies have carried out to examine the relationship of honesty with many factors that influence certain fields of science. This study aims to present a multidimensional study to convey the goodness of honesty as a tangible manifestation of the normative message that honesty guide to goodness and it will lead to happiness. This study uses a text analysis method in the form of a literature review through searching several resources. The sources that found is analysed by Wilson's procedure. The results of this study shows that honesty as a whole has a good impact on the physical health and mental health of individuals. Honesty related to many psychological attributes. Therefore, it recommended embedding motivations in educational honesty that concluded from various scientific disciplines.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the aspects of Context, Input, Process, and Product of the Al-Qur'an Therapy Program at Sekolah Khusus Taruna Al-Quran. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytic type. The data collection techniques are non-participant observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis was performed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that: 1) The background of the implementation of the Al-Qur'an Therapy Program at Sekolah Khusus Taruna Al-Quran is the existence of the students with special needs at Taruna Al-Qur'an Kindergarten which is a regular Kindergarten (Context aspect), 2) The Human Resources (HR) for the Al-Qur'an Therapy Program consists of mentors, namely devotion students from Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) Al-Qur'an Taruna and companions, namely teachers who accompany each student (Input aspect), 3) The Implementation of the Al-Quran Therapy Program is started with an opening greeting by the teacher, followed by greeting the students, reciting theraupetic verses by both the teacher and the student which is stated by reciting ta'awu?, and the teacher dismiss the therapy session by giving a closing greeting (Process aspect), 4) The students who join the Al-Quran Therapy Program tends to be calmer and they even can memorize and recite the verses of Al-Quran (Product aspect).

Abstract

This article aims to examine the forms of religious experience of the ummah when Muslims live as a minority. Through a sociological approach, qualitatively, this study conducted by observations and in-dept interviews with key figures about religiosity, tolerance, and harmonious relations between religions. The results of the study found that Penyengat Village maintains the religious freedom of its people, and customary stakeholders uphold the principles of togetherness and tolerance. The condition of religious development in the religious community is going well. Under customary protection holders and local governments, Muslim minorities living in a multicultural society can enjoy the freedom and live in harmony

Abstract

There are three theories of human intelligence, namely Intellectual Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), and Spiritual Quotient (SQ). In its subsequent development, following the SQ era that considered the God Spot in the human brain as a source of intelligence, the concept of the Heart’s Code (HC) indicates that the source of intelligence lies in the heart, not the brain. The SQ model proposed by Zohar-Marshall and the HC model suggested by Pearsall only touched the biological and psychological realms, namely the material brain and the material heart. Both have yet to touch upon the transcendental level of divinity i.e. the spiritual brain and the spiritual heart. Using Thomas Kuhn’s scientific revolution approach, the current article intends to prove that the source of intelligence is not the brain but the ruh (the soul). When God has perfected the creation of man by blowing ruh in him, the sense of hearing subsequently radiates through the ears, sight through the eyes, smell through the nose, speech through the mouth, taste through the tongue, and intelligence through the brain. As a consequence, the brain is but a tool; it is not a source of intelligence. If IQ, EQ, and SQ are regarded as intelligence models originating from the human mind, which is certainly artificial in nature, then Ruhani Quotient (RQ) is an intelligence model originally created by God. Ruhani Quotient (RQ), which is based on ruh, has implications on new studies pertaining to ‘ruhiology.’

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims at exploring the educational honesty that a school in Aceh has created to discover the fundamental principles and definitions of honesty education that schools have built up to promote integrity in the schools. Data collected through a qualitative approach, interview, observation, and documentation study. The results of this research showed that educational honesty could work well because it focused on universal, academic, and professional principles that established philosophical values.  The definition of truth designed from the foundation level of schools, schools in general and taught in detail in the classroom. The concept of educational honesty is stronger because it has included in the Vision, Mission, Objectives, and School Programs. This research expected to offer a new idea of honesty education in schools.AbstrakStudi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kejujuran pendidikan yang telah diciptakan oleh sebuah sekolah di Aceh untuk menemukan prinsip-prinsip dasar dan definisi pendidikan kejujuran yang telah dibangun oleh sekolah untuk meningkatkan integritas di sekolah-sekolah tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui pendekatan kualitatif, wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kejujuran pendidikan dapat bekerja dengan baik karena berfokus pada prinsip-prinsip universal, akademik, dan profesional yang menetapkan nilai-nilai filosofis. Definisi kebenaran dirancang dari tingkat dasar sekolah, sekolah pada umumnya dan diajarkan secara rinci di kelas. Konsep kejujuran pendidikan lebih kuat karena sudah termasuk dalam Visi, Misi, Tujuan, dan Program Sekolah. Abstract

Academic procrastination among students is a serious problem with significant consequences. Social support and resilience are considered to have an important influence on students’ academic procrastination. This study aims to prove and analyze the effects of social support and resilience on students’ academic procrastination before and after mediation by religious character. Structural equation model (SEM) analysis test was used on the academic procrastination of students influenced by social support and resilience and mediated by religious character. The study population comprised 10,271 students from 9 faculties. The total sample was determined to be 797 students on the basis of Slovin’s formula. The research model analysis was conducted using a two-step approach involving measurement model analysis and SEM analysis to analyze the relationship between all latent variables in the research model. The results show that social support from family, friends, and the school can reduce the level of academic procrastination. Resilience is found to reduce and exert a significant and indirect effect on academic procrastination after mediation by religious character.

Abstract

Expressing gratitude and responding it are rare things in Indonesia. It is interesting and surprising because in the Holy Quran there are so many verses about gratitude commands, moreover, God will give Muslim more if he is grateful. But we find most Muslims who are ungrateful. Based on this problem, this article aims to elaborate the significance of expressing gratitude and its correlation to the quality of faith to God, emotion, and happiness, and interpersonal relationship using the Quran and psychology as the conceptual framework and also based on empirical findings. The conclusion of this paper underlines that the Quran and psychology have common view on gratitude. The research results that grateful correlated with intrinsic religiousness positively and with extrinsic religiousness negatively and prayer increases gratitude, prayer plays a causal role in promoting gratitude as well. It is similar with the teaching of Surah An-Nisa’ (4): 147 and Surah Luqman (31): 12. People who often say thank you have strong relationship with the other as they do not only think of their relationship to God but also to other humans. All these findings are strongly in line with the research that gratitude is correlated to fewer depressive symptoms.AbstrakMengekspresikan rasa terima kasih dan menanggapinya adalah hal yang masih langka di Indonesia. Sangat menarik dan mengejutkan, karena da-lam Al-Quran ada begitu banyak ayat tentang perintah syukur, apalagi Tu-han akan memberi lebih banyak muslim jika dia bersyukur. Tapi kami menemukan sebagian besar muslim yang tidak tahu berterima kasih. Ber-dasarkan masalah ini, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan pentingnya mengekspresikan rasa terima kasih dan korelasinya dengan kualitas iman kepada Tuhan, emosi dan kebahagiaan, dan hubungan interpersonal menggunakan Al-Quran dan psikologi sebagai kerangka kerja konseptual dan juga berdasarkan temuan empiris. Kesimpulan dari artikel ini meng-garisbawahi bahwa Al-Quran dan psikologi memiliki pandangan yang sama tentang rasa terima kasih. Hasil penelitian yang bersyukur berko-relasi dengan religius intrinsik secara positif dan dengan religiusitas ekstrinsik negatif dan doa meningkatkan rasa syukur, doa memainkan peran kausal dalam mempromosikan rasa syukur juga. Ini mirip dengan ajaran Surah An-Nisa '(4): 147 dan Surah Luqman (31): 12. Orang yang sering mengucapkan terima kasih memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan yang lain karena mereka tidak hanya memikirkan hubungan mereka dengan Tuhan tetapi juga untuk manusia lain. Semua temuan ini sangat sejalan dengan penelitian bahwa rasa terima kasih berkorelasi dengan gejala depresi yang lebih sedikit

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini memebahas tentang problematika yang dialami kelompok muallaf Muslim dalam masyarakat Suku Akit di Siak, Provinsi Riau. Selama bertahun-tahun Suku Akit telah menjadi tempat kontestasi bagi penyebaran agama Islam, Kristen dan Buddha. Suku Akit sebagaian kecil sudah memeluk agama Islam tetapi mereka banyak mendapatkan problematika keagamaan seperti fasilitas serta pembinaan keagamaan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pembinaan, penguatan konsep keagamaan, praktek pelatihan ibadah bagi kelompok Muallaf Suku Akit di Siak dan penguatan ekonomi. Adapun metode pelaksanaan melalui Tiga tahapan. Tahapan pertama melakukan observasi kepada kelompok Muallaf Suku Akit, lingkungan, kondisi fasilitas, sosial keberagamaan, serta sosial ekonomi. Tahapan kedua melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kelompok Suku Akit. Tahapan Ketiga melakukan evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian. Kegiatan ini berlangsung dengan menghasilkan kegiatan yang baik serta bermanfaat bagi kelompok Muallaf Suku Akit setidaknya mereka memiliki fasilitas yang cukup memadai dalam beribadah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini juga berdampak positif bagi kelompok Muallaf Suku Akit dengan adanya pelatihan dan penyuluhan dapat meningkatkan ketaatan dan semangat beribadah.Abstract:  This paper examines the problems faced by (Muslim) converts among the Akit tribe who reside in Siak, Riau Province. Over the years the Siak trible has been a place of contestation for the spread of Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism. The small part of the Siak trible people have converted to Islam, but they often get religious problems such as facilities and religious formation. The purpose of this service is to provide guidance and strengthening religious concepts and practice of religious training for the Akit Muslim converts in Siak. The method of implementation is through three stages, the first stage is observing the Akit converts, the environment, the condition of the facilities, and social diversity. The second stage is carrying out community service activities for the Akit ethnic group. The third Stage evaluates community service activities. This study took place by producing good activities and benefiting the Akit converts, at least they had adequate facilities in worship. This dedication activity also had a positive impact on the Akit Tribal group, with training and counseling to increase obedience and the spirit of worship.

Abstract

Manusia hidup di dunia untuk saling berinterkasi dengan sesamanya. Interkasi dapat dibangun dengan adanya komunikasi interpersonal. komunikasi interpersonal pada anak tentunya dapat terbentuk dari pola komunikasi orangtua di rumah. Salah satu factor keberhasilan komunikasi yang baik pada anak adalah kelekatan antara anak dengan ibu. Ibu merupakan figure lekat bagi anak, sehingga kelekatan aman mampu menciptakan komunikasi interpersonal yang baik. Namun, di zaman sekarang dapat dijumpai komunikasi interpersonal yang buruk pada anak seperti adanya ejekan verbal dan kasus bullying di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui tingkat komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan Yogyakarta; (2) Mengetahui tingkat kelekatan anak pada ibu di SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan Yogyakarta; (3) Mengetahui tingkat kematangan emosi ayah pada siswa yang bersekolah di SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan Yogyakarta; (4) Menganalisis peran kelekatan anak dengan ibu dan kematangan emosi ayah terhadap komunikasi interpersonal anak pada siswa di SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan Yogyakarta secara parsial dan simultan. Jenis penelitian yang penulis gunakan di sini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif ex post facto. Adapun lokasi yang peneliti pilih adalah SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan Yogyakarta. sampel yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah 86 siswa kelas 5 SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan. Teknik pengumpulan data, penulis menggunakan kuisioner, observasi, dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang penulis lakukan dalam penelitian ini, dapat penulis simpulkan: (1) Tingkat komunikasi interpersonal pada siswa kelas 5 SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan menghasilkan rata-rata 132,6 dan sebanyak 56,1% masuk dalam kategori tinggi . (2) Tingkat kelekatan anak dengan ibu masuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata sebesar 39,2 hal ini juga dapat dilihat bahwa sebanyak 51,5% siswa tergolong memiliki kelekatan aman dengan ibunya. (3) Tingkat kematangan emosi ayah pada siswa kelas 5 SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan menunjukkan rata-rata sebesar 75,9 dan sebesar 62,8% dalam kategori tinggi, yang artinya kematangan emosi ayah pada siswa tersebut tinggi. (4) Berdasarkan penelitian terdapat peran yang signifikan pada kelekatan anak dengan ibu dan kematangan emosi ayah terhadap komunikasi interpersonal anak pada siswa kelas 5 SD Muhammadiyah Purwodiningratan Yogyakarta. Hasil uji F menunjukkan sig. 0.000 < 0.05 sehingga X1 dan X2 memiliki pengaruh pada variable Y (komunikasi interpersonal anak) dan sumbangannya sebesar 44,7%. Hasil uji T pada kelekatan menunjukkan sig.0.000<0.05 dan kematangan emosi sig. 0.016<0.05 yang menunjukkan masing-masing variabel X memiliki peran terhadap variabel Y. Sumbangan efektif pada kelekatan sebesar 28,8 dan kematangan emosi sebesar 15,9. Sedangkan untuk sumbangan relatif pada variabel kelekatan sebesar 64,5% dan variabel kematangan emosi sebesar 35,5% terhadap variabel Y.

Abstract

The character or personality possessed by students is inseparable from the parenting process at home and the influence of the social environment. The research method used was Quasi-Experimental. The results of data processing obtained results for anxiety, namely for the experimental group, the value of Z = -1,362ª with p = 0,173 since p 0.173 0.05. This result means that there was a decrease in anxiety symptoms that were not so significant after being given a pretest and posttest in the experimental group. For the control group, the value of Z = -0.440ª was with p = 0.660 since p 0.660 0.05. This result means that there was a decrease in anxiety symptoms that were not so significant before (pretest) and after (posttest) in the control group. The results of data processing obtained results for patience, that was for the experimental group, the value of Z = -2.666ª with p = 0.008 since p 0.008 0.05, then H0 was rejected, and H1 was accepted. This result means that there was a significant increase in patience after a pretest and posttest in the experimental group. For the control group, the value of Z = -1.629ª was with p = 0.103 since p 0.103 0.05, H0 was accepted, and H1 was rejected. This result means that there was no significant increase in patience before (pretest) and after (posttest) in the control group.
