Abstract

Abstract This community service aims to provide knowledge to the people of Bojong Koneng Village, Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province about Good, Correct, Measurable, and Regular Physical Exercise. The place of research was carried out in Bojong Koneng Village, Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. The implementation time of the activity starts from 20 to 21 August 2022. The methods used in carrying out this community service program are: information discussions, demonstrations, mentoring, exercises, and hands-on practice. The results of community service went well and smoothly. Programs that have been implemented include; Provide counseling materials, watch videos of physical exercise activities with various movements, and conduct knowledge surveys about Good, Correct, Measurable, and Regular Physical Exercises (BBTT). Community participation and support is quite high, where the community is actively involved in the implementation of the program so that the community can take maximum benefit. Abstrak Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat Desa Bojong Koneng Kecamatan Babakan Madang Kabupaten Bogor Provinsi Jawa Barat tentang Latihan Fisik yang Baik, Benar, Terukur, dan Teratur. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Bojong Koneng Kecamatan Babakan Madang Kabupaten Bogor Provinsi Jawa Barat. Waktu pelaksanan kegiatan dimulai tanggal 20 sampai dengan 21 Agustus 2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam menjalankan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah: diskusi informasi, demonstrasi, pembimbingan, latihan, dan praktek langsung. Hasil Pengabdian masyarakat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Program yang telah dilaksanakan meliputi; Memberikan materi penyuluhan, menonton video kegiatan latihan fisik dengan berbagai gerakan, dan melakukan survey pengetahuan tentang Latihan Fisik yang Baik, Benar, Terukur, dan Teratur (BBTT). Partisipasi dan dukungan masyarakat cukup tinggi, dimana masyarakat turut aktif dalam pelaksanaan program sehingga masyarakat dapat mengambil manfaatnya dengan lebih maksimal.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effects of a single bout of endurance exercise on decreased oxidative stress in young adults with overweight. This study used the true experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Twenty overweight women between the ages of 20 and 23 were recruited from college students and randomly divided into CON (n = 10, control group without exercise) and EEx (n = 10, endurance exercise group). The endurance exercise intervention is carried out once by running on a treadmill with an intensity of 60-70% HRmax for 40 minutes/exercise sessions. Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels as a biomarker of oxidative stress were measured 30 minutes pre-exercise and 24 hours post-exercise using the Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance (TBARs) method. The results showed that MDA levels significantly decreased in the endurance training group compared to the control group. Results of analysis of MDA levels between pre-exercise and post-exercise in CON (819.00±66.47 vs. 853.00±113.55 ng/mL; (P > 0.05), EEx (810.00±120.19 vs. 596.00±67.57 ng/mL; (P < 0.05). Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that a single session of endurance exercise at an intensity of 60-70% HRmax for 40 minutes reduces oxidative stress in overweight adolescent females.

Abstract

Objective. Obesity is a significant health concern that can affect individuals of all ages, including children and adults. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of 12 weeks of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise in reducing complex obesity levels in older individuals. The research methodology used in this study is experimental, with a one-group pre-post test design. The study was conducted in June-July 2023 at the Jakarta State University Sports Hall, located in Rawamangun, East Jakarta. Following the participants' completion of 12 weeks of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, a post-test was administered, which included measuring their BMI. Materials and Methods. The study involved 30 elderly participants who were obese. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with several criteria such as being male, aged between 55-65 years, having a body mass index (BMI) between 27-32 kg/m2, coming from a large family from the Faculty of Sports Science, Jakarta State University, and being willing to participate in research on the effects of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise for 12 weeks. The research aimed to determine the effects of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise for 12 weeks on reducing the level of complex obesity in elderly people. Result. The research findings indicate that the 12-week program of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, designed by researchers, is an effective approach to significantly decrease complex obesity in the elderly population. The results of the study demonstrate the potential benefits of engaging in regular physical activity to improve the health and well-being of older adults. Conclusion. The study results indicate that engaging in aerobic exercise of moderate intensity, such as running on a treadmill, for 12 weeks can lead to a significant decrease in body fat and weight, thus promoting effective obesity reduction.

Abstract

For those who fast properly and perfectly, there are several rewards and advantages, both material and spiritual. People who fast cannot fully profit from it due to lack of understanding about healthy eating habits and balanced nutrition. The aim of this service is to promote Bojong Koneng Resident understanding of healthy fasting diet. The stages in the implementation of community service have three (three) stages; the first stage involves administering a pre-test to determine the resident’s background knowledge prior to receiving materials from the service team; the second stage is the implementation activity stage where balanced nutrition information is presented using power point media; and the third stage is the post-activity stage where a post-test is administered to determine the resident’s current knowledge. The service increase the knowledge of Bojong Koneng resident from average 67 to 92. Abstrak Puasa mendatangkan banyak keberkahan dan manfaat, baik materil maupun immateriil bagi yang menjalankannya dengan baik dan sempurna. Minimnya pengetahuan tentang pola makan dan pola makan seimbang saat berpuasa membuat mereka yang mengamalkannya tidak bisa merasakan manfaat puasa. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan siswa tentang pola makan seimbang saat berpuasa. Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terdapat 3 (tiga) langkah, langkah pertama adalah melakukan tes pendahuluan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan awal siswa sebelum menerima materi dari tim pengabdian masyarakat, tahap kegiatan tahap selanjutnya dilakukan dengan penyampaian materi gizi seimbang melalui power point tahap akhir setelah kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan kuis sebagai berikut untuk menghasilkan ide atau pendapat pengetahuan akhir siswa setelah dilatih oleh tim pengabdi. Peningkatan pengetahuan terkait gizi seimbang saat puasa dari kor pengetahuan 67 menjadi 92 menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan edukasi gizi dapat membantu responden untuk memahami materi yang diperoleh.

Abstract

Abstract This community service activity aims to provide services and information to the community in the Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor regarding the technical measurement of physical fitness with SIPGAR application in the community. This is done because there are still many people who do not understand the technique of measuring physical fitness with SIPGAR application and its followup because many do not get this knowledge when attending school or studying at non-sports campuses. So it is considered necessary to carry out technical socialization of physical fitness measurements in the people. This service activity was carried out on September 26-27, 2023 in Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor. The method used is the technical lecture method of measuring physical fitness with SIPGAR application which is carried out to provide information to the people of Desa Bojong Koneng. This activity is in partnership with Desa Bojong Koneng officials, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor as a form of community service by the Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. From the results of the service activities, it was found that the level of community knowledge about the technical measurement of physical fitness with SIPGAR application of the people of Desa Bojong Koneng was included in the good category. This can be seen from the results of a survey regarding the level of community knowledge about the technical fitness measurement with SIPGAR application carried out at the beginning and end of the activity. This can be seen from the survey results regarding the level of public knowledge regarding the technical fitness measurements carried out at the beginning and end of the activity. Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelayanan dan informasi kepada masyarakat di wilayah Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor mengenai teknis pengukuran kebugaran jasmani dengan aplikasi SIPGAR pada masyarakat. Hal ini dilakukan karena masih banyak masyarakat yang tidak memahami mengenai teknik pengukuran kebugaran jasmani dengan aplikasi SIPGAR dan tindak lanjutnya karena banyak yang tidak mendapatkan ilmu ini saat sekolah atau kuliah di kampus non olahraga. Sehingga dianggap perlu melaksanakan sosialisasi teknis pengukuran kebugaran jasmani pada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 26-27 Agustus 2023 di Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah teknis pengukuran kebugaran jasmani yang dilaksanakan untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat Desa Bojong koneng. Kegiatan ini bermitra dengan perangkat Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor sebagai wujud pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh institusi Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian didapatkan tingkat pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat tentang teknis pengukuran kebugaran jasmani dengan aplikasi SIPGAR pada masyarakat Desa Bojong koneng termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil survey mengenai tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang teknis pengukuran kebugaran yang dilakukan pada awal dan akhir kegiatan.
