Abstract

Food consumption diversification aim to lessen the storey level consume the fundamental food of rice, replace it with traditional local fundamental food and improve the score quality of food consumption. Research aim to know the storey level consume the food, score quality of food consumption and role of traditional local fundamental food in pattern food consumption of the household. Research done in Sub district of Kauman Tulungagung Regency. Analysis unit is household at villages. Analysis consume the food and scor PPH done to know the storey, level consume the food and score quality of food consumption. Role of traditional local fundamental food consumption analysed discriptifly qualitative. Research result indicate that the consumption of energy is 60,47 % AKE with score quality of food consumption is 39,39. Though tubers have ever been effective enough consumed however rice still occupy the important position in fundamental food consumption. The position of traditional local fundamental food in pattern food consumption still is snack.Keywords: traditional local fundamental food, food consumption diversification

Abstract

With going concern organic agriculture, not even produce the peaceful food can be yielded because minim of usage of chemical materials, however on a long term ability agroecosistem a a whole defensible also so that produce and agriculture productivity can is always improved. Ready of settled domestic product and have continuation expected can push the agricultural produce price stability so that impecunious society group and farmer can reach the food though its purchasing power relative lower. With security and continue the food consumption and production, expected by the food quality consumption of the society in general can mount so that society can live healthyly, productive and active to fill, to continue and improve the development.Kata kunci: pangan aman berkelanjutan, ketahanan pangan

Abstract

Broiler meat is an important commodity to support national meat production and increase farmer's income. However, the broiler farmers are generally in a weak position in terms of poultry management. They require best management practices for increasing the business volume and income as well. This study aims to study the achievement of broiler farming business management, and the influence of the business management on income and its income in their broiler farms. This research was conducted in Lamongan regency. It used the primary data from selected the broiler farmers. The analysis method used was descriptive approach and multiple regression. The result shows that the achievement of broiler business management comprises planning 67.6%, organizing 65.68%, directing 84.18%, coordination 75.43%, and control 77.58%. The management of broiler business has a positive effect on income but negatively affects the income risk. In addition, the income of broilers is positively influenced by the cage size, experience, and business volume, and conversely, this is negatively affected by seed prices and feed prices. Meanwhile, the income risk of broiler business is positively influenced by seed price and feed price, and contrarily it is negatively influenced by the size of cage and the business volume

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kesiapan rumahtangga menghadapi pembangunan sangat bergantung pada pola konsumsi pangan yang dilakukan.Orientasi mengkonsumsi pangan harus bergeser dari perhatian pada komoditas menjadi perhatian pada nutrisi, agar dihasilkan sumberdaya manusia yang sehat, cerdas, aktif dan produktif sehingga memiliki daya saing untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraannya. Penelitian bertujuan  mengetahui daya saing rumahtangga melalui identifikasi pola konsumsi pangan, meliputi konsumsi energi dan protein serta keragaman pangannya. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Kauman Kabupaten Tulungagung.Data dikumpulkan melalui metode food recall 2 x 24 jam terhadap 50 responden yang dipilih secara Simple Random Sampling dari unit analisis rumahtangga miskin.Analisis dilakukan dengan metode penilaian konsumsi pangan.  Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa tingkat konsumsi energi dan protein rumahtangga masing-masing sebesar 60,46 % AKE (Angka Kecukupan Energi) dan 57,53 % AKP (Angka Kecukupan Protein) dengan derajat keragaman konsumsi pangan sebesar 40,34. Artinya tingkat konsumsi pangan rumahtangga masih harus ditingkatkan melalui komunikasi, edukasi dan informasi agar rumahtangga sebagai kelompok sosial terkecil dalam masyarakat memiliki daya saing untuk meningkatkan produktifitasnya. Kata kunci: peningkatan daya saing, rumahtangga, pola konsumsi pangan ABSTRACT Efforts to improve the competitiveness of a region highly depend on the condition of households in the region. Readiness of households facing development highly depend on its food consumption patterns. Orientation of eating food should be shifted from attention to the commodity of concern in nutrition, so that human resources are produced healthy, intelligent, active and productive, so they have the competitiveness to improve their welfare. The study aims to determine the competitiveness of the household through the identification of patterns of food consumption, covering energy and protein consumption and food diversity. Research conducted in the Sub-District Kauman of Tulungagung Regency. Data were collected through  food recall method 2 x 24 hours against 50 respondents which is selected by Simple Random Sampling from poor households analysis unit. Analysis were performed by the method of assessment of food consumption. The research shows that the level of energy and protein consumption of households amounted to 60.46% AKE and 57.53% AKP  with the degree of diversity of food consumption at 40.34. This means that household food consumption levels should be improved through communication, education and information so household as the smallest social group in society has the competitiveness to increase productivity.   Keywords: increased competitiveness, household, food consumption pattern

Abstract

Edukasi konservasi lingkungan dan budaya dalam pengembangan jasa ekowisata menarik untuk diteliti.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah ingin menggali persepsi mahasiswa terhadap obyek wisata, lingkungan dan penggunaan media sosial untuk mempromosikan dan edukasi konservasi lingkungan.  Survei dan wawancara dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa yang melakukan studi lapang di obyek wisata Coban Talun (kota Batu).  Variabel yang diteliti adalah persepsi terhadap obyek wisata, interaksi berkelompok, permasalahan, dan pemanfaatan media sosial.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memberikan persepsi yang positif dan signifikan terhadap keindahan, khususnya  air terjun dan obyek wisata buatan.  Berkelompok memberi manfaat untuk melindungi atau menjaga keselamatan, dan menjadi wadah untuk berdiskusi tentang konservasi alam.  Aspek lingkungan menjadi potensi permasalahan yang berasal dari menurunnya keanekaragaman hayati, dan terganggunya sumber mata air atau suplai air bersih. Sementara itu, media sosial untuk mempromosikan wisata adalah Whatsapp, Instagram, dan Facebook.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan usahatani Belimbing Tasikmadu di Tasikmadu dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan usahataninya.  Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Tasikmadu Kecamatan Palang Kabupaten Tuban. Analisis kelayakan dilakukan dengan empat kriteria, yaitu Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit Ratio dan Cost (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), dan Payback Periodes (PP); sedangkan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dinalisis dengan Analisis SWOT.  Analisis NPV digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai sekarang dari aset yang ada, Net B/C digunakan untuk menganalisis kelayakan usaha, IRR digunakan untuk menganalisis tingkat suku bunga dan Payback Periodes digunakan untuk menghitung jangka waktu pengembalian modal.  Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 146,387,416.91, nilai Net B/C sebesar 1.62, nilai IRR sebesar 49.06, dan nilai PP sebesar 2.21.  Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usahatani Belimbing Tasikmadu di Tasikmadu secara umum layak untuk diusahakan, karena penerimaan bersih yang diterima lebih besar daripada biaya untuk melakukan proses produksi. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan usahatani Belimbing di Tasikmadu adalah berlimpahnya ketersediaan sumberdaya alam, fungsi kelompok tani, pemberdayaan kelompok tani, kualitas dan kuantitas sumber daya lahan pertanian. Lebih lanjut, posisi kompetitif relatif ada pada Kuadran Ideal.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the efficiency on rice farming business and factors that affect rice production associated with participation in farmer groups. The research was conducted in Senduro Village, Senduro District, Lumajang Regency. Analysis method in this research included revenue, cost and efficiency on rice farming, as well as multiple regression of production function. The results show that there are different performance among farmers who are member and non-member of farmer’s group. Productivity to the farmers who are member of farmer group was 8.776 tons per hectare and non-member was 7.275 tons per hectare. Farmers in the group gained higher revenue (IDR 37.74 million per hectare) compared to non-member (IDR 31.28 million per hectare). Production cost to the farmers who are member of farmer group reached IDR 12.69 million per hectare and non-member was IDR 12.55 million per hectare, with efficiency values (R/C) 2.97 and 2.49, respectively. Farmers who become member of the group adhered better farming practices which use more efficient fertilizer, more intensive irrigation and more seeds. Rice production is significantly affected by land size and the group membership. Ten percent increasing in land size would increase production by 2.4 percent. However, for the other factors, i.e, age, education, number of family member, seeds, manpower and fertilizer had no significant effect on rice production.

Abstract

The participation of rural people in ecotourism activity remains the question, whether they genuinely carry the vision of conservation or are forced to engage in meeting economic needs only. This question is fundamental for building better participation and management of ecotourism in rural areas. The research aims to discuss social capital and social capacities to empower ecotourism in rural areas. The study was carried out in the villages of Ngadas and Gombengsari using a survey approach, and employing descriptive and path analysis methods. The results show that social capital for managing ecotourism services demonstrated the functioning of institutions, networking capabilities, monitoring, evaluation, and innovation.  Social capacity is related to the regulation of institutional, social, economic, and environmental resources.  Social capacity was found more substantial in Gombengsari than Ngadas village.  The research is expected to strengthen the study of social capital as a stock/sink and its relationship with sustainability.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the performance of processed food industry based on cassava flour viewed from its characteristics which cover business orientation, growth process, business development, production process, technology, and efforts to fulfilling the resources; as well as the development strategy. The study was conducted in district of Malang and Trenggalek, were selected intentionally (purposive sampling).The industry based on cassava flavour is determined by Data Based Triangulation. The research sample is determined by Snowball Sampling. The results showed that the processed food industry based on cassava flour which is growing in Malang and Trenggalek is mocaf cracker industry and mocaf sticks. The industry characteristics are: product-oriented, process grows on the basis of excess commodities that are not optimally used, have the capital, has the experience, and have confidence in the ability to take advantage of these commodities; business development is indicated by the growth of the asset; production process is easy and quick; simple technology; and the easy supply of resources. On the basis of the identification of 11 driver factors and 13 inhibiting factors, the development strategy are to optimize the utilization of local producers of cassava flour that involving the government, businesses, local communities, organizations and local institutions to develop the processed food industry based on cassava flour.
