Abstract

The Computer-Based Test Exam (UTBK) is a computer-based written test which results are used for the Joint Selection of State Universities (SBMPTN). Based on the results of interviews with the school conducted in January 2022, the preparation of students to face the UTBK 2022 has not been maximized. This happens because there are no facilities as a place for students to practice in preparing the material properly. Besides, students only study routine material according to the textbook, while the UTBK questions are quite different from the material students get in class. The purpose of this activity is to introduce and train strategies in solving the Academic Ability Test (TKA) in preparation for the 2022 UTBK-SBMPTN for high school students Class XII SMA Negeri 1 Kefamenanu. The implementation method in introduction and training activities consists of several stages, including: observation, preparation for introduction and training, implementation of introduction and training, and evaluation of activities. The introduction and training of UTBK TKA questions for Class XII high school students was carried out well. It can be seen from the average student attendance reaching 95.3%. Based on the results of the evaluation of activities before and after the training was given, it was found that the average posttest was higher than the average pretest for each class. The skills and strategies of the trainees in solving the UTBK TKA questions have increased. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest of the training participants, this training activity is successful as a solution to the partner's problem, namely that the preparation of students to face the 2022 UTBK SBMPTN is not optimal.

Abstract

Average National Examination score in 2019 for Mathematics Study Program territory North Central Timor (TTU) was 31.15. This achievment is the lowest average score of the other exams, both at the level TTU district, NTT province, and Nationals. Low learning innovation and teacher creativity often become problems in learning mathematics. Some schools in TTU have average scores below the district average that is Biboki dan Insana selected and trained to utilize software GeoGebra. This training begins with an introduction about GeoGebra and followed by training to solve various mathematical problems using GeoGebra. Then the proses follow-up with distribution of GeoGebra tutorial videos and ongoing mentoring and guidance. After training, 52.38% of partisipants ready to use GeoGebra in their lessons.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of interest rates on the rupiah exchange rate. The method used in this research is simple linear regression analysis. This study found that interest rates have a significant positive effect on the rupiah exchange rate of 1.804704 at a 5% level of significance.

Abstract

Assignment problem is one part of linear programming that can be found in real life. The Assignment problem includes m workers who have n tasks assuming n=m. The division of work is seriously handled by the company so that each employee gets an equal amount of work hours that are determined. This study aims to optimize employee assignments based on minimum operational costs and minimum job completion times using the Hungarian method. Optimization is a mathematical approach that deals with maximum and minimum problems. From the results of the study, after using the Hungarian method, the work completion time on the Kefamenanu Supermarket Metro was 9: 34: 20 (in hours, minutes, seconds). The total operational costs of work incurred by the company if calculated using the Hungarian method with MATLAB software, the results are Rp. 11,141. Furthermore, the order of minimization of employee assignments is obtained as follows: II, VII, I, IV, VI, V and III.

Abstract

In 2019, average score for high school Mathematics for all modes of the national level examination was the lowest compared to other subjects in all majors. For the North Central Timor Regency, average Mathematics Test Score for the Science major is 31.08, the lowest of other subjects. In dealing with this problem, teachers need a learning innovation that allows students to learn mathematics with visualizations that are easy to make, easy to use, and attractive, as well as strong interaction between teachers and students to facilitate the transmission of concept understanding from teachers to students. Therefore, several schools in the city area in ​​Kefamenanu and Noemuti were selected and trained using Microsoft Mathematics GeoGebra software and continued with training to solve various mathematical problems using Microsoft Mathematics GeoGebra. Training activities began with an introduction to Microsoft Mathematics and GeoGebra and continued with solving various mathematical problems using Microsoft Mathematics and GeoGebra. Then proceed with follow-up activities in the form of mentoring. After training, 57.14% have used Microsoft Mathematics and 52.38% have used GeoGebra as a learning method in the classroom.

Abstract

Futus merupakan istilah yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Suku Dawan merujuk pada kain tenun yang dihasilkan dengan teknik ikat yang diaplikasikan dalam proses pewarnaan benang. Kain tenun ini merupakan salah satu kearifan lokal turun temurun di Suku Dawan Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Proses pewarnaan adalah tahap penting dalam proses pengolahan kain tenun tersebut yang menggunakan tumbuhan sebagai zat pewarna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan jenis tumbuhan pewarna alami kain tenun ikat, organ tumbuhan yang digunakan dan bagaimana proses pengolahannya. Metode wawancara semi-terstruktur digunakan dalam diskusi kelompok terarah pada 38 responden yang merupakan pengrajin tenun. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat 17 spesies dari 12 famili tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pewarna kain tenun ikat masyarakat suku Dawan di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Kunyit (Curcuma longa L.) adalah tumbuhan yang paling banyak digunakan. Bagian tumbuhan yang paling banyak digunakan sebagai bahan pewarna yaitu daun, diikuti rimpang, akar, kulit batang, buah dan biji. Pengolahan tumbuhan menjadi pewarna kain tenun ikat terdiri atas dua cara yakni direbus dan tanpa perebusan yang masing-masing menghasilkan warna berbeda dengan campuran fiksatif yang berbeda pula.

Abstract

Permainan matematika merupakan salah satu cara untuk membangun minat siswa dan merupakan langkah yang baik agar siswa tidak merasa bosan dalam belajar matematika. Salah satu permainan matematika yang cukup populer saat ini adalah pemainan matematika Sudoku. Puzzle Sudoku identik dengan angka dan cukup rumit jika belum paham aturan permainannya. Tujuan dari teka-teki ini adalah untuk menempatkan angka-angka pada baris dan kolom yang tersedia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membangkitkan minat belajar matematika siswa dengan metode permainan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama tiga (3) hari di SMAK Warta Bhakti Kefamenanu kelas X1 IPA 1 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah rata-rata hasil pre-test siswa sebelum diberikan permainan adalah 48 sedangkan rata-rata hasil post-test siswa setelah diberikan permainan adalah 87.59 . Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah siswa diberikan pemahaman tentang cara bermain Sudoku, hasil yang diperoleh lebih memuaskan dibanding sebelum diberikan pemahaman mengenai permainan ini. Melalui kegiatan ini pula minat belajar matematika siswa dapat dikatakan meningkat.

Abstract

TikTok is an entertainment application that can be used to watch and share various short videos such as educational information, dance, fashion, and even promote a product, as well as shop online. If it is used continously, it may provide negative impact. TikTok users may become stressed if it does not meet the creator’s expectations such as getting the most likes or viewers from users. Furthermore, they also can addicted to online shopping and buy something that they do not need due to lost self-control and be unable to consider risks in making decisions resulting in stress or depression. This study aims to build a mathematical model of TikTok addiction Type SEI1I2R. The results of the study obtained two equilibrium points, namely the free equilibrium point for TikTok addiction T1 and be stable when R0 < 1 and the equilibrium point for addiction to TikTok T2 and be stable when R0 > 1. The simulation shows that when R0 <1, even though most of the population have TikTok application, they are not interested in content and shopping via TikTok. This causes the population that creates TikTok accounts decrease and hence the addiction to content and shopping on TikTok slowly decrease and then disappear in the population. Meanwhile, when R0 > 1, many people think that content and shopping on TikTok are very interesting so that the population that creates TikTok accounts is increasing so that there is an increase in the population creating content and shopping on TikTok. Therefore, TikTok addiction will remain in the population and will increase with time.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan alat peraga merupakan salah satu cara efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa. Alat peraga biasanya didesain dengan sederhana, menarik, mudah digunakan dan mudah dieksplorasi sehingga memudahkan siswa dalam penggunaan dan proses menemukan sendiri kesalahannya dan memperbaikinya. Alat peraga dapat menjadi solusi terutama dalam mengatasi rendahnya nilai Matematika siswa. Penyebab rendahnyaa tingkat kemampuan matematis ini selain disebabkan karena perbedaan kemampuan kognitif siswa, juga disebabkan karena siswa berasal dari Sekolah Dasar yang berbeda-beda. Solusi yang ditawarkan tim pengabdian adalah dengan memberikan pendampingan pembuatan alat peraga bagi guru-guru SMPN Kota Baru. Pengabdi juga melakukan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan alat peraga yang telah dirangkai yaitu Papan Dakon dan Dakota sebagai bagian dari pendampingan bagi siswa. Pengabdi meyakini bahwa kesuksesan pembelajaran pada jenjang SMP ini dimulai dengan penguasaan pada materi awal seperti Bilangan Bulat. Oleh karena itu pengabdian ini merupakan salah satu solusi yang diyakini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai Pre-Test dan Post-Test yang memberikan hasil bahwa penggunaan alat peraga Papan Dakon dan Dakota memberikan dampak positif bagi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam operasi hitung bilangan bulat. Hasil pengujian rata-rata nilai Pretest dan Posttest menggunakan software SPSS juga memberikan hasil bahwa nilai Pretest yang dihasilkan lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan nilai Posttest yang semakin meyakinkan bahwa penggunaan alat peraga meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa pada operasi hitung bilangan bulat.
