Abstract

Mutiara Waste Bank (The Gade Clean & Gold) is a Unit Waste Bank in Pekanbaru which does not have waste management data in National Waste Management Information System since 2019. Several problems related to waste management in this Waste Bank were found, namely : re-sorting Waste Bank managers from waste that has been sorted by customers, piles of garbage that fill garbage storage area and irregular waste transportation. The purpose of this research was to find out in-depth information about waste management at Waste Bank Mutiara. Data were collected using interview guidelines and observation sheets, then analyzed using triangulation techniques. The research subjects were 5 people, 1 key informant, 1 main informant and 3 supporting informants. The results showed that waste management at Mutiara Waste Bank was not optimal. There were facilities and infrastructure have not been fulfilled, such as uninsulated waste storage areas and unavailability of containers equipped wish label/signs. The transportation at Mutiara Waste Bank is carried out if several types of waste have reached one car or at least half a car, causing the accumulation waste in the waste storage area. Recommended to the manager of the Mutiara Waste Bank to complete the facilities and infrastructure, as well as to socialize and implement a reward system to increase public interest in waste collection which can affect the increase of frequency of transportation.

Abstract

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) is a method of identifying work accidents with risk assessment as one of the important points for implementing the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3). risk analysis that depending on the type of work, if the job is radiography, it is called high because of the dangers of radiation. PT.Sucofindo has conducted a risk analysis and conducted a medical check-up, they must understand the work in the field. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is in the interest of employers, workers and governments around the world. According to ILO estimates, every year around the world 2 million people die from work-related problems. The purpose of the study was to analyze work safety data using the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Control (HIRAC) method at PT.Sucofindo Duri in 2022. The research design was qualitative. There were 3 informants namely, Company Leaders, HSE Officers, and Safety Officers. The results of the research PT, Sucofindo have conducted research, and have SOP and JSA, already know the potential hazards and risk actions in the field. Research suggestions for leaders must control every job so that accidents do not occur in the field, For HSE Officers to identify and map the potential hazards that occur in the work environment.

Abstract

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is an acute respiratory infection that attacks the throat, nose and lungs that lasts approximately 14 days, Ari regarding the structure of the channel above the larynx, data on Ari disease in toddlers in Pekanbaru city show that the highest prevalence in Puskesmas fifty with a prevalence rate of 6.69% per 100 toddlers in 2020. This research is quantitative analytic with Case Control design. The study was conducted in January-July in the second quarter of 2022 in the Working Area of Puskemas Lima Puluh Kota Pekanbaru, with a population of 4,946 toddlers and a sample of 135 which was divided into 45 cases and 90 controls. This study uses Simple Random Sampling technique. Data analysis methods include univariate and bivariate analysis, using chi-square test. The results showed that the variables associated are ventilation (OR=3.294 95% CI 1.553-6.989), exposure to cigarette smoke (or=3.436 95% CI 1.575-7.504), occupancy density (or=4.529 95% CI 2.113-9.710), environmental sanitation (or=2.896 95% CI 1.359-6.169). Suggestions from researchers are rekrontuksi ventilation / open the window periodically, the manufacture of smoking corner in the surrounding environment, isolation room for family members affected by the disease, rekrontuksi base of the building at risk of becoming the development of bacterial culture/paint water repellent against risky building materials such as wood.

Abstract

Garbage is the residue of a business or activity (human) which is solid and considered useless so that it is disposed of in the environment. Many factors influence the behavior of housewives in managing the waste they produce at home. The research method used is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach to determine the relationship between the independent variable (independent) and the dependent variable (dependent). The study was conducted in Rokan IV Koto Subdistrict, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province since february until august 2022. The number of samples taken was 85 samples of housewives using stratified random sampling technique. Based on the data analysis carried out, there is no relationship between education and household waste management in Rokan I Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency in 2022, with a P-value = 0.043 <0.05. There is no relationship between knowledge and household waste management in Rokan I Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency in 2022, with a P-value = 0.006 <0.05. There is a relationship between attitude and household waste management in Rokan I Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency in 2022, with a P-value = 0.047 <0.05. There is no relationship between the availability of trash bins and household waste management in Rokan I Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency in 2022, with a P-value = 0.001 <0.05
