Abstract

Evaluation is a component of education that must be carried out systematically and planned as a measure of the success of the education and learning process. The author limits the discussion of evaluation of Islamic education in this article to 2 aspects, namely aspects of teacher performance and the learning process. The main problems that are often discussed related to aspects of teacher performance are the problems of teacher qualifications and competencies and the implementation of learning. While the problems faced in the learning process generally occur because of the low skill of mastering the latest technology also becomes a serious problem in the fast-paced information age. If the government previously determined four basic competencies that must be mastered by teachers in addition to a minimum educational qualification of S1 or D4, it is necessary to seriously study the offer of one new competency that must be possessed by teachers and education personnel, namely Technology Mastery Competence.     Keywords: evaluation, teacher performance, learning process

Abstract

The real preacing is educating human being to change into positif direction. As a teacher and an educator for the nation, M. Natsir has understood well his nation character and the character of preaching that is very complext. He is concern to the effort of giving training for teachers. He reads, thinks and reflects the Qur’an and Hadits and the path way of the Prophets Muhammad’s struggle and his close friends as the first generation this umah in spreading an Islamic teaching, then the result of his reflection is written in his various master piece such as: Fiqhud Da’wah. This research is a library research, in which the researcher has conducted research, analysis, reading Fiqhud Da’wah book and relevant literatur in accordance with the topic of reseach. Related to the concept of teacher’s competences who has a role as educator. From this research, it can be drawn a conclusion that the perspective of M. Natsir related to the teacher’s competences is very comprehensive, for example: teacher has to pay an attention to his qualification such as: 1) guiding the soul (al-I’dad al-Fikry); 2)preparation in the knowleadge and science; and 3) caring about “akhlaq’. The Islamic studies teacher has not only Islamic studies knowledge, broaden paradigm, and understading the characters of his/ her society. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the natural media in learning Islamic religious education (PAI) in SAUNG. In addition, this research was also conducted to explain the effectiveness of natural media in learning Islamic religious education at SAUNG schools. The focus of the problem in this study included: (1) Utilization of natural media in the learning of Islamic religious education (PAI) at the ungaran (SAUNG) natural school, (2) Effectiveness of natural media in learning Islamic education (PAI). This research uses descriptive analytical method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Data that has been collected will be analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. From the results of research in the field it was found that the utilization of natural media is done by applying the learning tools implemented under the program MABIT, outting, outbound, cooking and gardening. The effectiveness of natural media in teaching Islamic religious education (PAI) in nature school Ungaran (SAUNG) managed to make children feel comfortable to learn PAI and produce good cognitive value. The conclusion of the study was the use of natural media in teaching Islamic religious education (PAI) in nature school Ungaran (SAUNG) is done in some programs, namely MABIT, outting, outbound, cooking and gardening. This makes children feel comfortable in the study of Islamic religious education (PAI) and managed to increase the value of cognition in children. Key Words: Natural Media, Islamic Religious Education, Natural School of Ungaran (SAUNG)

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an properly is an obligation for a Muslim. Therefore, every Muslim needs guidance in reading the Qur'an from an early age. However, reality shows that not a few adults are not able to read the Qur'an in accordance with the rules of recitation. In an effort to improve the ability to read and write al-Qur'an, the Institute for Islamic Studies and Practicing has used several methods, namely the Iqro method and the ten-hour of reading Qur’an learning method. This study aims to: first, determine the effectiveness of the Iqro and the ten-hour of reading Qur’an learning method on the reading and writing Qur’an ability of Faculty of Engineering students. Second, the difference in the influence of the two methods on the reading and writing Qur’an ability of Faculty of Engineering students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a different test technique using the Mann-Whitney test because the normality test shows abnormal data. The results showed that H1 was accepted, namely the Iqro method and the ten-hour reading Qur’an learning method significantly in improving the literacy skills of Faculty of Engineering students Muhammadiyah University, Yogyakarta. A comparison test between the two methods also shows that H1 is accepted, which is the ten-hour reading Qur’an learning method more significantly in improving the ability of reading and writing the Qur'an. Keywords: Iqro’ method, Ten-hour of reading Qur’an learning method, reading and writing Qur’an learning

Abstract

The effort to develop an Islamic educational institution can not only be built on the concept of Aqliyah theory, but also based on the concept of God revelation. One of the explicit messages of God revelation is the phrase min adhulumatilaannur (from the darkness to the lightness). Implicitly, this phrase implies a transformation process from dhulumat (darkness) to an-nur (lightness). The process of transformation needs to be elaborated intact and holistic, how to interpret it; which will be formulated into the implementative formulation of the phrase.The phrase min al dhulumat ila an-nur conceptually there are three dimensional meaning that includes: 1). Textual, textual meaning of min al-dhulumatilaannur is from the darkness to the lightness, 2). Contextual, contextual meaning of min al-dhulumatilaannur; there are some interpretations from the interpreter whose essence is changing from disbelief to the faith, from apostasy to the faith, from ignorance to knowledge, and 3). Reconceptualization, there is a relevance of the concept min al-dhulumatilaannur with the management of education,that related to the transformation process that must be done to accept a change.Actualization of transformation can be done on some basic elements of education, i.e., students, teachers, headmasters/ managers, supervisors, employees and parents.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis paper will describe a problem concerning Islamic education in Indonesia which is still underestimated. This is very much related to the history of the Indonesian nation which had been colonized for centuries by the Dutch. Therefore, the Islamic community is disadvantaged by the rampant terrorist terrorism, and the severity of this terrorist is associated with Islam, because in practice it always carries Islamic symbols. This has an impact on the assessment of some people who say that Islamic society (santri, kiai, pesantren) do not have a spirit of nationalism. Whereas if we look at history, that Islamic society has a very big contribution to Indonesian independence, we know with the resistance made by Prince Diponegoro which ended with the Diponegoro war, as well as with other resistance carried out by Islamic communities throughout Indonesia. This illustrates how deep the sense of nationalism is owned by the Islamic community. Efforts to counter the notion that the Islamic community does not have a spirit of nationalism is to study the characters, although briefly. Abstract

ABSTRACTPublic relations serves as a distinctive management and supports the coaching, maintenance of the joint pathway between the organization and the public, concerning communication activities, understanding, acceptance and cooperation, involving management in dealing with problems, helping management to be able to face public opinion.Creating a positive image for an institution or education, the role of Public Relations is also involved in many things such as making strategies and programs interesting to be able to compete and still exist both in a profit-oriented institutions and services to the community or nonprofit. The success of a Public Relations will determine the success or failure of vision and mission in an education or institution.Looking at the above background contains the formulation of the problem: 1) How the public relations devinisi and research ? 2) What is the negative and positive impact of public relations in educational institutions? 3) How to Step by step analysis of persuasive and contributive strategy in developing public relations in educational institutions.The results of the theory analysis can be summarized as follows: 1) Public Relations is a typical management function, which supports coaching and maintenance, the joint path between the organization and its Public about communication, understanding and cooperation. Engage and assist management to know and respond to public opinion, establish and emphasize management's responsibility to serve the public as well as to support management in making positive use of experiments, using sound and ethical research and communication techniques as the primary means. 2) Negative influence, may occur due to ethical abuse in public relations activities and the positive influence that can result from the implementation of the code of ethics. 3) Steps - persuasive and contributive strategy in building Public Relations effectively by improving internal and external quality. Abstract

Being  Educator  is an honour profession in Islam. It is an essensial factor in the education system. Thus a dignity  and an authority of this profession have to be maintained by the educators. The way to keep the honour of this profession can be done by conducting  ethical codes as a guidence to conduct activities as the educators.In a modern era, an educator ethic has been formulated. However, it shows unoptimal to keep the educators’ dignity. Thus, a solution is needed to solve the problem. Part of the solution  from Islamic education scholars during Islamic education hystory is the genuin thinking of those scholars. They have formulated the educator’s ethics codes. From their thinking and ideas, there are three ethic codes that can be understood: The First:  related to the obligation to have a good intention as the educator by improving a quality of  “taqwa” to Allah SWT because teaching is a worship. The second:  the educators have to keep their  profession by improving the personality with a good character (Akhlak). The third,  keep improving the educators’ competences and professionalism.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Arabic learning model in SMP Kartini Bumi in an effort to improve the ability of Arabic-speaking students, besides that this study also attempts to explain some of the inhibiting factors and factors that support the implementation of intensive Arabic language programs (extracurricular activities) carried out in the boarding environment school in the Bumi Kartinid SMPUT in an effort to improve the ability of the Arabic language students in addition to the Arabic subjects that they actually get in learning in the classroom as subjects of local content. The focus of the problem in this study included: (1) the model for implementing Arabic learning at SMP Kartini Bumi, (2) supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the implementation of intensive Arabic language programs. This research uses descriptive analytical method by collecting data from interviews, observation and documentation, the data is collected and analyzed by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study it was found that the Arabic learning model in SMPUT Bumi Kartini used a direct learning model that is the teacher conveying the content of the subject matter in a structured and structured manner, directing the activities of the students, and maintaining the focus of academic achievement. the forms are in the form of Arabic (local content) and school extracurricular subjects. Extracurricular activities aim to support the improvement of students' ability to speak Arabic which is implemented in intensive classroom activities in Arabic, and Bilingual Club. Language intensive extracurricular activities are held every day after school, even though these activities are carried out on school boarding, but the intensive class is included in the extracurricular activities of the school. The main purpose of the direct learning model is to maximize the use of student learning time. Which in practice students practice it using Arabic in their daily lives in the boarding school environment. The supporting factor remains the implementation of intensive language classes is the existence of adequate infrastructure and students who are very enthusiastic in attending intensive language classes. While the inhibiting factor is the lack of teachers and the lack of varied learning media used in the learning process. Keywords: learning model, Arabic, SMPUT Kartini

Abstract

Islam as a worldview has a different point of view from other religion and civilisation perspective to see the world. This point of view is reflected and accumulated in the key concept understood from the main Islamic teaching source, Al-Qur’an and Sunnah. For example, related to the concept of science in the western civilisation. The concept of science in Islam has an effect on the goal orientation of Islamic education, that is different from the goal orientation of the western education. These Islamic Education goal are: Producing human being, having a good moral value, who can put something based on the real honor, using the right ways to reach the correct goal, and struggling for something to reach the right goal. The concept of science in Islam has an orientation to curriculum and classroom learning process. The education curriculum has to be developed integrally. Integrate between fardhu ‘ain and fardhu kifayah science development. In addition, the implementation of this can be dinamic. In the learning process of courtesies related to the science, the courtecies of the relationship between teacher and student in the educative interaction has to be implemented.Keywords: The concept of science, courtecy, and education
