Abstract

Abstract. In the software industry world, it’s known to fulfill the tremendous demand. Therefore, estimating effort is needed to optimize the accuracy of the results, because it has the weakness in the personal analysis of experts who tend to be less objective. SVR is one of clever algorithm as machine learning methods that can be used. There are two problems when applying it; select features and find optimal parameter value. This paper proposed local best PSO-SVR to solve the problem. The result of experiment showed that the proposed model outperforms PSO-SVR and T-SVR in accuracy. Keywords: Optimization, SVR, Optimal Parameter, Feature Selection, Local Best PSO, Software Effort Estimation

Abstract

Food distribution process is very important task because the product can expire during distribution and the further the distance the greater the cost. Determining the route will be more difficult if all customers have their own time to be visited. This problem is known as the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (VRPTW). VRPTW problems can be solved using genetic algorithms because genetic algorithms generate multiple solutions at once. Genetic algorithms generate chromosomes from serial numbers that represent the customer number to visit. These chromosomes are used in the calculation process together with other genetic operators such as population size, number of generations, crossover and mutation rate. The results show that the best population size is 300, 3,000 generations, the combination of crossover and mutation rate is 0.4:0.6 and the best selection method is elitist selection. Using a data test, the best parameters give a good solution that minimize the distribution route.

Abstract

Abstract. The object-oriented design (OOD) concept can be used to implement a quality measurement program is based on the possibility of inter-relationship between attributes and methods in the class diagram and interaction between objects on a communication diagram. The process of calculating the value of cohesion on the design of object-oriented software using Similarity-Based Class Cohesion metrics can be done by identifying the relationship between the three types of possible interaction between those methods, method-attribute, and interaction attribute-attribute. But the existence of such measurements theory is rarely used in the software development industry. This is due to there is no threshold value that is used as the limit of good or bad design. This study aims to determine the threshold of cohesion metric based on the class diagram. The result showed that the threshold of SCC metric is 0.45. 0.45 is the value that has the highest level of agreement with the design expert

Abstract

E-government is an effort to utilize information and communication technology especially internet to improve public service quality which generally implemented in a web based application. Usability is one of the important quality criteria for the success of a web. In this study we developed a framework for evaluation of usability in e-government consisting of  eight stages: (1) determining the evaluation objectives, (2) determining the usability aspects, (3) determining the metrics usability, (4) selecting usability evaluation method candidates, (5) determining the required criteria of the method to be evaluated, (6) evaluating the method, (7) selecting and making the instrument, and (8) evaluate usability.. The results of the application of this framework in the case study of e-finance resulted in two methods used: user testing and questionnaires. The evaluation of usability in e-government for e-finance case studies using the proposed framework results in usability level of e-finance in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction are 96%, 92%, and 70 respectively. Which can be identified to be grouped into 16 problems consisting of aspects of effectiveness and efficiency.

Abstract

Information technology  governance is used to guide and control an organization in achieving the goals that had been planned in advance. PT DEF is a company which utilises information technology to support its business processes. Nevertheless,  it indeed  requires an IT governance that can be beneficial as a reference for IT activities in order to run properly. This research intends to conduct an audit of information technology governance based on the COBIT 5 framework domain, which is  DSS (Deliver, Service, and Support) domain in the process of DSS03 (Manage Problems). According to the research results, the values that have been obtained from the process of DSS03 capability level was 64.66%, that is regarded as Partially Achieved. Capability level will be used as a reference in seeking gap contained in the domain of DSS03 process. Furthermore, these would be able to make recommendations aimed at increasing the value of the expected maturity. This research contributes to the evaluation results and recommendations to improve the capability level on the DSS03 domain, hence  PT DEF can upgrade its IT governance by using DSS03 process.

Abstract

Abstract. The lack of motivation and student engagement in the learning process are the Challenges in education today. E-learning is one of the methods used to resolve these issues. The E-learning, the digital based learning media, enable students to study every where and every time. Basically the e-learning is only used for repository of teaching materials and for evaluation. This kind of e-learning cannot motivate  the learning process. The development of e-learning must be done in order to increase the motivation to learn. The proposed solution extends the e-learning application with the Gamification approach. Gamification is adopted mechanism of the game in non game context. Typically, gamification is used in the business world. The Leaderboard, Challenges, and reward are components that are used to stimulate products sales by marketing. The reward will be given to the top rank salesman on the Leaderboard. This interesting concept can be applied to e-learning to stimulate the learning motivation

Abstract

Smart home refers to the use of computers and information technology to control home appliances. The smart home system occupies sensors to acquire data for monitoring. One of the most important factors in designing a smart home system was the communication between devices that will be used. It requires high throughput and low latency communication so that monitoring can be done in real time and lossless. The communication network was designed to optimize the stream monitoring for smart home by reviewing the system throughput and latency. Lab-VIEW programming on My-RIO embedded systems was used to acquire accelerometer and voice data readings and send them to personal computer wirelessly. The network communication was designed by implementing network stream protocols between two applications which were planted in the personal computer and My-RIO system. The test results indicate that the network stream protocol did not require normalization of sensor data types while transmitting and receiving. The throughput values were affected by increasing buffer size but on certain conditions saturated throughput were experienced. The value of the latency is always stable with an average value of 13 ms even though the size of the buffer is enlarged.

Abstract

The optimization problems on real-world usually have non-linear characteristics. Solving non-linear problems is time-consuming, thus heuristic approaches usually are being used to speed up the solution’s searching. Among of the heuristic-based algorithms, Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Simulated Annealing (SA) are two among most popular. The GA is powerful to get a nearly optimal solution on the broad searching area while SA is useful to looking for a solution in the narrow searching area. This study is comparing performance between GA, SA, and three types of Hybrid GA-SA to solve some non-linear optimization cases. The study shows that Hybrid GA-SA can enhance GA and SA to provide a better result

Abstract

Instead of thermometer, an infrared camera could be uti-lized to scan body temperature instantly and non-contact. This paperproposed a non-contact measurement of human body temperature by au-tomatically locating inner-chantus on thermal images. The inner-canthuswere detected in both eyes individually. It located inner-canthi based ontemperature where inner-canthi has the highest temperature in face area.A Thresholding based on 9-highest temperature were applied to detectcandidates of inner-canthus' blob as it must have minimum 9 pixel areaaccording to the Standard. Three knowledge based on characteristic ofeye were also applied in the algorithm as several spot in face usuallyfalls within the temperature threshold. The result show accuracy of al-gorithm to detect eye is 82% whether the eyelids were open or closed. There is no signicant dierent of temperature between closed and openeyes based on paired t-test. The algorithm also showed similar result tothermometer measurement based on paired t-test.

Abstract

Abstract. Optimal healthy diet in accordance with the allocation of cost needed so that the level of nutritional adequacy of the family is maintained. The problem of optimal healthy diet (based on family budget) can be solved with genetic algorithm. The algorithm particle swarm optimization (PSO) has the same effectiveness with genetic algorithm but PSO is superior in terms of efficiency, PSO algorithm has a lower complexity than genetic algorithm. However, genetic algorithms and PSO have a problem of local optimum because these algorithm associated with random numbers. To overcome this problem, PSO algorithm will be improved by combining it with simulated annealing algorithm (SA). Simulated annealing algorithm is a numerical optimization algorithms that can avoid local optimal. From our results, optimal parameter for PSO-SA are popsize 280, crossover rate 0.6, mutation rate 0.4, first temperature 1, last temperature 0.2, alpha 0.9, and generation size 100.Keywords: PSO, SA, optimization, variation, healthy diet menu.
