Abstract

Abstract. Internet becomes critical infrastructure in the distribution of information. The information is used for decision making and ensure the success of human activities. However, the distribution of information in rural Indonesia is inconvenient, because the digital communication infrastructure (internet) doesn’t cover all areas in Indonesia. This problem causes the digital divide in Indonesia. This study proposes communications infrastructure and data transfer mechanism or media sharing that can be applied to a variety of rural areas conditions in Indonesia, which has limited communications infrastructure. The approach is to build low power digital carrier devices in the form of minicomputer and utilize Delay or Disruptions Tolerant Network (DTN) architecture. Testing results in the digital carrier node show that the data is successfully delivered. Keywords: Rural Area, Mini-PC, Delay Tolerant Network

Abstract

Abstract.Utilization of information technology in the field of public transportation has been proven in improving the quality of public transportation services. The availability of information technology that supports public transportation in Malang city is still limited. An effort is required to encourage the availability of information technology that support public transportation in Malang city. This research attempts to propose a draft proposal of REST API designed for supporting information about public transportation services in Malang city. The result of this research showed that the REST API should provide a search facility to find proper service mode of transportation, cost estimation, time estimation, calling or booking a public transportation, a list of all the modes of transportation that exist, as well as detailed information on a mode of transport in which includes the name of public transportation, index of comfortability, index of security, index of safety, index of privacy, index of availability, index of accessibility index, and route. Keywords: Transportation, Public Transportation, API, REST, Service-Oriented Architecture, Web Service.

Abstract

Abstract. Electrical energy has become a staple for humans. Almost all human activities always require electrical energy. To maintain the availability of electricity at any time, then it takes the process of global electricity savings. The electricity savings can be done in two ways, the first is the development of technology to make electric appliances that require low power for operation and the second is to improve human behavior in the use of electrical appliances (turning off electrical appliances when not in use). This research aims to create a centralized smart home that can help people to monitor the condition of electrical appliances in the house and turn off automatically when not being used. Besides this system could also be used in manual mode and be controlled remotely using a smartphone through the Internet. The system is made centrally so not only for the home but can be used for many homes. After application was implemented it can monitored which device is turned on or turned off. Keywords: Smart Home, Monitoring and Power Savings

Abstract

Rainfall is very influential in our daily lives, ranging from agriculture, aviation, to flood-prone areas. The intensity of rainfall is used as an early detection for preventing harmful effects of rainfall. This research used Sugeno-Method Fuzzy Logic, in which the prediction is accomplished by mapping rules from the data obtained using the K-Means Clustering Algorithm as the classification to form the membership function and mapping rules and Firefly Alghorithm for optimization output. The test result from the 30 examined data found is 2.93 RMSE. This shows that the data support from K-Means Clustering and Firefly Algorithms of the fuzzy logic can predict precipitation accurately.

Abstract

Stroke, in 2014 to mid-2015 is the first cause of death in Indonesia. The condition of stroke patients whose movements are limited is exacerbated by the psychic condition of patients who are unable to communicate pressure will cause obstacles to the healing process of the patient. This research is designed based on the five planes of user experience which are divided into five areas: strategy, scope, structure, skeleton, and surface. This communication board is operated using the patient's fingers so that it is comfortable for everyday activities. The result of Mobile Finger Communication Board implementation shows that application usability level seen from perception and ergonomic point of view shows satisfaction index of the user at the satisfactory level so that it can be said that the system works with the satisfactory result of the users. It is expected that with the Mobile Finger Communication Board which will be used daily to support the healing process of stroke so that the healing rate of stroke is increasing.

Abstract

Graphology is one of the psychology disciplines which aims to study the personality traits of individuals through interpretation of handwriting. We can get information of one’s personality through graphology. In addition, by using android based mobile device, graphology analysis could show one’s personality faster. This study was conducted by taking 42 samples of handwriting from different backgrounds. The feature used in this study was handwriting margin. Besides, Support Vector Machine method was employed to classify the result feature from extraction process. The result of this study showed the accurate average of the application reached 82.738%.

Abstract

Algorithm time complexity is an important topic to be learned for programmer; it could define whether an algorithm is practical to be used on real environment or not. However, learning such material is not a trivial task. Based on our informal observation regarding students’ test, most of them could not correlate Big-Oh equation to real program execution. This paper proposes JCEL, an educational tool that acts as a supportive tool for learning algorithm time complexity. Using this tool, user could learn how to correlate Big-Oh equation with real program execution by providing three components: a Java source code, source code input set, and time complexity equations. According to our evaluation, students feel that JCEL is helpful for learning the correlation between Big-Oh equation and real program execution. Further, the use of Pearson correlation in JCEL shows a promising result.

Abstract

The concept of Primary Health Service Management Model “Andal” (LKP Andal) in Indonesia was initiated by the Public Health Association of Brawijaya University (IKEMAS UB) to solve the health service management problem in Indonesia. LKP Andal was piloted into a first-level organization that provide the health service/facility in PG Kebonagung polyclinic in Malang district. This research uses a service design approach to explore the problems and this study also provide a service solution to the LKP Andal implementation in IT perspective that suits to the organization characteristics as an entirely service delivery process support. As the result, this study has explored 23 main problems of the entirely service delivery process and also resulted 4 service solution ideas which were visualized using Service Journey Modelling Language (SJML) to acquire more detailed images and they can become the standard communication among stakeholders.

Abstract

Prediction of electrical load on 150 kV Sulselrabar electrical system, analyzed using approach at night peak load using Fuzzy Logic based intelligent method. The peak load characteristics are certainly different from the load in normal time, therefore a special approach is needed to predict the peak night load. As input data will be used data of night peak load in 2010 until 2015, on the same day and date, each 4 days before day-H or day date which will be predicted load. For the data processing stage is divided into several stages, namely pre-processing, processing, and post-processing. The load data processing follows several procedures, ie computing WDmax, LDmax, TLDmax and VLDmax each year. Data processing is processed using excel software and then using Matlab software to run Fuzzy Logic. From the analysis results obtained, Error Prediction The peak evening load is very small that is equal to -0.070033687%. As comparison data used actual day-H data is April 2016. The graph of analysis result also shown in this paper. Keywords– Fuzzy Logic Control, Load Forecasting, Error, VLDmax

Abstract

Engineering Faculty of Nurul Jadid university has an adequate IT support in teaching-learning process, it is e-learning system. However, this system is poorly exploited by users due to a lack of awareness in the importance of information. This study aims at measuring how far the e-learning system performance works as students and lecturers’ service by doing audit e-learning system. The audit refers to COBIT 4.1 standard specially for domain Deliver and Support (DS). Research method is conducted by determining domain, control process, indicator, and mapping the maturity level. The result shows that after auditing the e-learning system, it recommends an improvement on security system in DS 5 process with index 3.11 and DS 7 process with index 3.14 i.e. providing a training for users.
