Abstract

Abstract.  This study is a quasy experimental with pretest posttest control group design that aimed to determine the influence of guided inquiry learning on students’ motivation and learning outcome. The population of this research was all of X grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Tana Toraja in academic year 2017/2018. Sampling technic used random sampling that choosed X MIA 3 grade as experiment group and X MIA 5 grade as control group. Technic of data collecting were test and non-test method which were analysed by using anacova. The results of this study showed that students’ motivation and learning outcome who taught by implementing guided inquiry learning in high category and there is  significantly difference between students’ motivation and learning outcome who taught by implementing guided inquiry learning and direct instruction. Abstract

Abstract. The objective of the study is to find out science process skills students on discovery learning in class XI of Senior High School 9 of Maros. This study was descriptive research. The groups chosen as the study sample are XI MIPA 1 with number of students 35 people.  The research data is observation of the student’s science process skills. data analysis technique with descriptive statistics. Descriptive statistics are used to describe students' science process skills. The results showed that the average increase in students' science process skills at the first meeting was 66.50%, increasing to 75.07% at the second meeting, and increasing to 81.11% at the third meeting. and is in the category of sufficient to good category. The conclusion of this research is the science process skills of grade XI MIPA  1 of SMAN 9 Maros can be improving through based discovery learning. Keywords: discovery learning, science process skills

Abstract

Abstract.  The type of this research is descriptive research that aims to give description about the implementation of scientific approach in the implementation of curriculum 2013 on biology learning in class X MIA1 and XI MIA1 SMA Negeri 1 Pangkajene. Objects in this study are all biology teachers SMA Negeri 1 Pangkajene who are teaching in class X and XI consists of 2 teachers and students of class X MIA1 and XI MIA1. Data of research result obtained by observation technique, implementation of learning conducted by researcher by using observation guidance based on scientific approach and stated valid by Validator Team of Department of Biology FMIPA UNM. The collected data will be analyzed descriptively with the following results: (1) The implementation of scientific approach for teacher activity in the learning process of biology class X MIA1  and XI MIA1 has an average percentage of 73.64% is in enough category (2) The implementation of scientific approach for student activity in the learning process of biology class X MIA1  and XI MIA1 is 70,80% is in the category enough (3) The implementation of scientific approach in SMA Negeri 1 Pangkajene 72.22% is in enough category. Based on the results of research can be concluded that the level of implementation of scientific approach in the implementation of curriculum 2013 on biology learning in SMA Negeri 1 Pangkajene Pangkep Regency is in the enough category. Abstract

Abstract. This study is a quasi experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest design that aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of direct instruction learning models in the study of biology in kingdom monera material. The study sample was randomly selected and selected class X MIA 2 as the experimental class. Data collection techniques through giving tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) learning to measure student learning outcomes and observation of learning activities of students during the learning process. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis with t test. The results showed that the direct instruction learning model was effectively applied in the biology learning class X MAN 1 Makassar in Kingdom Monera material. Improved student learning outcomes are seen in the normalized gain average of 0.7423 which is in the high category. The proportion of students who reach KKM or in the complete category after being taught with Direct Instruction learning model is 78.95%. The activities of students as much as 81.58% are in the active category. Keywords: direct instruction, learning outcomes, learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract. Improving the quality of education through the research of classroom action research which aim to improved learning activities and learning outcomes of learner through applied the learning method of mind mapping in structure and function of animal tissue. The subject of this researched was learners of XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Pinrang which total 48 learners of school year 2017/2018. Qualitative data which investigated was learning activities observed by observer since learning process, while the quantitative data obtained from the score of making mind mapping, essay test and learning evaluation test. The result of this researched showed that there is enhancement of learning activities on the 1st cycle showed the percentage of learners was 72% for at all indicators which was observed, while on the 2nd cycle enhancement learning activities percentage of learners was 100%. For at all indicators which was observed. The outcomes of learner’s data obtained in the 1st cycle with total the learners not complete was 18 people with percentage 38%, while the outcomes of learners complete was 30 people with percentage 63%. While the outcomes of learners in the 2nd cycle increased with the learners not complete was 6 people with 13%, while the outcomes of learners complete was 42 people with percentage 88%. Abstract

Abstract. The Aims of this research: 1) To find out the improvement of science process skills of students in exact sience 3 grade 12th through the application of a problem-based learning model in SMA Negeri 2 Sidenreng Rappang. 2) To find out the improvement of student learning outcomes on biology subjects through the application of the problem-based learning model in exact science 3 grade 12th at SMA Negeri 2 Sidnreng Rappang. The subjects in this study were students in exact science 3 grade 12th in SMA Negeri 2 Sidenreng Rappang in the academic year of 2017/2018 with 34 students consisting of 13 male students and 21 female students. Data collection on student process skills during the learning process takes place obtained from the results of subsequent observations of data on student learning outcomes obtained from the results of student evaluations conducted at the end of each cycle. To find out the results of student test evaluations conducted at the end of each cycle using quantitative analysis. Research results show that the application of the problem-based learning model can improve science process skills and learning outcomes of students in exact science 3 grade 12th in SMA Negeri 2 Sidenreng Rappang. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model in learning activities can improve science process skills and learning outcomes in Exact Science 3 grade12th in SMA Negeri 2 Sidrap.Keywords: problem-based learning model, the concept of mutations

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to know determine the effect of using Ispring media on biology learning outcomes of class X SMA Negeri 9 Bone at Bone regency. The type of research is quasy experiment using Posttest Only-Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Subject of this research consisted of 2 group namely control class (powerpoint media) of 28 student and experimental class (Ispring media) of 30 student. The variabel examine in this study were Ispring media and powerpoint media. Technique of data collection was form test and analysis using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The result showed that the average value of learning outcomes of biology using powerpoint media was 80,36 and the average value student using Ispring media was 84,17. Based on inferential analysis using the t test that the value Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,029 < 0,05, then H0 rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is an effect of using Ispring media on biology learning outcomes of class X SMA Negeri 9 Bone at Bone regency. Keywords: Ispring media, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract.  Global demands require the world of education to always adjust technological developments towards efforts to improve the quality of education. This study aims to determine the potential and needs of lecturers and students in biology classroom, which will be used as a base in the development of blended learning integrated with PBLRQA strategy (Problem-Based Learning and Reading, Questioning & Answering) on biology classroom. This research was a descriptive research. The results of this study showed that lecturers and students need a learning environment that integrates technology in learning, allowing students to communicate and obtain information from various sources. The use of technology in learning with blended learning integrated with PBLRQA strategy can create the learning environment more effective, efficient, and interesting, suitable with students' interest in the use of interactive media such as laptops and smartphones. By using technology, abstract material in biology can be more easily understood and problems related to biological learning expected to be resolved. This research is a Research and Development (R & D) which aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of interactive multimedia that has been developed in the material characteristics of living things. The research and development model used in the development of interactive multimedia for students of class VII SMPLB-B, refers to the ADDIE development model developed by Dick and Carry. Abstract

Abstract.  This research is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the Differences in Student Learning Outcomes of Biology Education STKIP Indonesian Development based on Gender Differences through the       Thisresearch is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the positive effect of Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning Models on the Motivation and Learning Outcomes of Biology Education Students STKIP Indonesia Makassar Development. The subjects of this study were students of VIE class as experimental class and VID class as control class with 25 students each. The instruments used in this study were motivation questionnaires and student biology learning outcomes tests. Data were obtained through two instruments, namely learning motivation questionnaire and learning outcome test. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis of the motivation value of the control class average value is on a scale of 4.08 with good category and the experimental class the average value is on a scale of 4.30 with a very good category. The results of descriptive analysis of the value of the learning outcomes of the control class an average value of 70.56 and the experimental class the average value of 79.04. The results of hypothesis testing are obtained by Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 <α = 0.05, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there is a positive influence on the application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Think Pair Share (TPS) to the learning outcomes of biological education students in STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia Makassar.
