Abstract

Packaging and marketing program of oyster mushroom and rice products is caused by the absence of pack-aging and marketing strategy of oyster mushroom and rice in Kanten, KebonAgung, Imogiri, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This program aims to increase productivity, packaging innovation and marketing of organic rice products and oyster mushrooms in the Kanten. Methods of implementation undertaken in this program include sosialization, training and mentoring by Community Service Team. Implementation of this community service has a target that is Sasono Catur Members of Farmers Group and Sekar Arum Members of Women Farmer Group. Materials provided include entrepreneurial materials with emphasis on packaging and online marketing of oyster mushroom and rice products. The results and discuss of this community service in the form of packaging of organic rice products labeled “beras sehat” with size 3 and 5 kg and oyster mushroom packaging labeled “jamur kanten crispy” that weighs 1-5 ounces. Marketing of organic rice and jamur kanten crispy in this community service is in the form of manual marketing by offering to store/ supermarket and online through shopee account. Abstract

Tirta Polengan merupakan merupakan produk olahan dari sumber air murni kaki Gunung Merapi di Dusun Lembar, Desa Polengan, Kecamatan Srumbung, Kabupaten Magelang, Jawa Tengah menjadi air minum dalam kemasan rendah kontaminasi. Teknologi yang digunakan untuk mengolah sumber air tersebut menjadi air minum adalah Reverse Osmosis (RO). Pelaksanaan program dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan, pertama adalah pra program, tahap pelaksanaan program, dan keberlanjutan program. Tahap pra program dirinci menjadi 4 kegiatan yaitu dimulai dengan observasi, menyiapkan alat dan bahan, membentuk kelompok usaha, dan merancang desain label serta kemasan. Tahap pelaksanaan program dirinci menjadi 7 kegiatan yaitu meliputi sosialisasi program kepada masyarakat setempat, perbaikan dan penambahan cabang saluran air, pemasangan penampungan air, pemasangan alat Reverse Osmosis (RO), uji coba produk, pelatihan produksi dan pengemasan, dan pendampingan produksi serta pengemasan. Hasil dari program ini adalah adannya pandangan baru masyarakat setempat bahwa sumber air yang selama ini tidak bernilai ekonomis dapat dimanfaatkan dan diolah menjadi produk yang bernilai jual. Selain itu, timbul motivasi masyarakat setempat untuk menjalankan unit usaha bersama dalam bidang pengolahan air minum dalam kemasan rendah kontaminasi yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat dalam jangka panjang. Program ini tidak hanya bermuara pada terciptanya produk, rencana lanjutan program ini adalah dengan melakukan pendampingan pemasaran produk baik secara online maupun offline dan diversifikasi produk Tirta Polengan. Kata kunci: Tirta Polengan, Reverse Osmosis, mata air pegunungan, air minum rendah kontaminasi

Abstract

Tujuan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu memecahkan permasalahan di bidang pemasaran dan bidang keuangan yang ada pada Usaha Material “IQBAL MATERIAL”. Metode Pelaksanaan yang dilakukan yaitu melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan. Permasalahan-permasalahan yang terselesaikan antara lain, Khalayak sasaran : (1) sudah memiliki buku khusus untuk mencatat transaksi-transaksi usaha yang terjadi; (2) mampu membuat laporan keuangan usaha; (3) memiliki papan identitas usaha; (4) memiliki leaflet dan frayer untuk promosi usahanya; (5) memiliki nota dengan logo usaha sendiri; (6) memiliki stempel usaha sendiri. Program pengabdian ini berjalan dengan lancar dan mampu menumbuhkan semangat pengembangan usaha material “IQBAL MATERIAL” yang masih merupakan usaha baru (startup). Selain itu menambah wawasan mengenai pentingnya manajemen pemasaran dalam mengelola usaha, sekaligus memberikan solusi kepada pemilik terhadap permasalahan pemasaran dan pengelolaan keuangan yang selama ini dihadapi. Abstract

Tofu is made of soybean. Tofu is one of the protein sources needed by our body. During the process of making tofu is produced waste materials (waste) both with a solid texture or liquid. Solid texture waste is usually sell very cheap for livestock feed, whereas liquid waste is thrown away with other domestic wastes every day. The liquid waste volume was increasing daily. People was produce tofu everyday so it is definitely waste formed daily that is dis-charged to the environment. It is feared can further pollute the environment. The purpose of this community service is to utilize the tofu waste as the raw material for soy sauce in an effort to overcome environmental pollution by tofu industry waste and increase the family income. The methods used in this community service were counseling, training and skills practices of targeted community groups on the mastery of processed waste technologies in the form of soy sauce. Also to facilitate some tools to support tofu production process. The result of community service shows that the target community has been able to master the processing of tofu waste into soy sauce from the beginning of processing until the production, soy sauce produced has been marketed and generated a profit of 4.5%. And the profit that can be obtained in soy sauce production is 4.5%. Key words : Tofu waste, Soy sauce, Environment pollution, income

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to change the adolescent mindset as well as improve the future orientation of youth in education. Furthermore, the community is expected to have awareness to run its the role as a support system in improving the future orientation of adolescents. The method of implementation of this program is empowering community psychology approach implemented through several stages, namely providing group counseling and motivation to adolescents, counseling to improve the participation of parents and teachers in improving the future orientation of adolescents. Parents tales of psycho education about educating teenagers, the importance of continu-ing adolescent education and improving parental patterns of concern about adolescents who find it difficult to get a mate. To the group of teachers given counseling effective communication with adolescents. The result of this assistance is the emergence of awareness of students (adolescents) to continue education to a higher level such as high school or vocational school by 85% from the previous only 40 %, while those who have motivation to continue education to college increased 10% from 0 %. Teenagers are still worried about getting children’s labels unsold by the public, but have started to decrease. Parents begin to have an awareness of the importance of their role in the future of their teenagers. Teachers gain insight and discover new methods of effective communication with adoles-cents. Key word: Community Psychology, teens, Future Orientation

Abstract

The founding of Village-Owned Business Entity (Badan Usaha Milik Desa, BUMDes) is a mandate of Laws. It is also one of the leading work programs in Priority Performance in the period 2015-2019. Even though 5000 BUMDes targeted by the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration has exceeded by the establishment of nearly 35.000 BUMDes across Indonesia. However, there are some villages which still seem doubtful and less motivated to establish BUMDes. Moyudan sub-district consists of four villages and there is only one village which has already pioneered the establishment of BUMDes. The aim of the community service program (PPM) is to motivate the initiation of the establishment of BUMDes in Moyudan sub-district. The activity of PKM was conducted through initial survey, training, and consultation on the mapping of village potential. The outcome of this activity is the documents of the mapping of village potential and the selection of BUMDes enterprise planning.

Abstract

Gedoro village is one of the villages in Nglegi, Patuk, Gunung Kidul. This village is located in the north area ofGunung Kidul. This is an agricultural conservation area of herb Some of them are Zingiber oficinale (jahe), Curcumaxanthorrhiza (temulawak),Curcuma domestica (kunir) dan Cymbopogon citratus (serai). This village is located inhills where the access to transportation is quite difficult. This problem often causes delays in harvest distribution, sothat a lot of herb rot before they are sold at the central market in Gunung Kidul. The survey result also showed thatthe people in Gedoro Village have not had enough knowledge in processing empon-empon into processed productsthat are able to increase its stability and durability when they are not immediately sold. Those problems are thefactors which cause decrease in economic value of herb. Herb actually has high price because it contains antioxidantsthat can be used to treat cancer and degenerative diseases. The aim of this empowerment program is toincrease the knowledge of people in Gedoro Village in processing herb into healthy drinks based on zero wastehome industry with the women as the target. This program is in the format of KKN PPM which was given in theform of counseling, training, practicing and accompanying the processing of empon-empon into healthy drinks.This program is proven to be able to increase knowledge, skills and community participation as well as communityself-help in processing herb into healthy drinks.

Abstract

Community empowerment program to make a village independent is very important. Village independence could be seen from various aspects, and one of which is the aspect of independence in the provision of clean water. Clean water supply activities in Balong Hamlet, Donoharjo Village, Ngaglik Sub- District, Sleman Regency are community empowerment activities in order to make Balong Hamlet independent on the aspect of the ability to provide clean water. This activity began with a survey and data collection of local residents’ water needs, followed by calculation of clean water requirements, design of clean water supply and distribution systems, implementation of piping installation, commissioning tests, economic analysis, and its contribution in making the village independent of clean water. This activity produces a piping system for clean water from the spring to the houses of Balong hamlets with a population of approximately 203 households. On average, each household needs 600 liters/day so it requires 121.8 m3 /day or 3654 m3 /month. The price of standard clean water for the Drinking Water Company (PAM) is Rp1,960.00/m3 , so the hamlet has saved Rp7,161,840.00/month or Rp85,942,080.00/year. Thus, this activity has made Balong Hamlet contribute significantly to the independence of Donoharjo Village.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the impacts of biogas utilization in farmer’s household scale in Boyolali Regency. The survey toward 67 respondents of famer’s households in Samiran Village, Selo Subdistrict and Sruni Village, Musuk Subdistrict in Boyolali Regency were involved purposively. The farmer’s household involved in this study were the owners of biogas in household scale. For respondents having no biogas, it was required that they had known biogas in household scale. The data were analyzed using the impact evaluation model with Propensity Score Matching approach. The Treatment Effect Analysis shows that the biogas utilization in farmer’s household scale has significant impact on the decrease of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) usage reaching until 2.54 kg/ month. Nevertheless, the impact on the firewood and organic fertilizer usage is insignificant. Through this study, it can be concluded that the utilization of household biogas among farmers has a significant impact on of the Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) usage.

Abstract

Malnutrition caused by carbohydrate and / or protein deficiency still threatens Indonesian children, including nutritionalanemia due to iron deficiency, Iron deficiency anemia (IDA)which is the most prevalent anemia but neglectedby public attention. The participation of the community in the prevention and treatment of malnutrition in childrenstarts with the active participation of pregnant women in routine checks during pregnancy, supplementary feedingto children under five and monitoring the nutritional status of their children. The role of health cadres in thecommunity is very important because they are the motor of community nutrition development activities in theirarea. Community service is intended to prevent and improve malnutrition in children through improving the qualityof Posyandu (Pos Pelayanan Terpadu/Integrated Health Post) activities, monitoring of growth and health of underfive years old children and administration of supplementary feeding for infants and children. This program isdedicated for increasing knowledge and skills of cadres and mothers of infants and under five year hildren inCokrowijayan and Sukunan villages in Banyuraden Village, Gamping Sub-District, Sleman . The activities carriedout in this service were in the form of malnutrition prevention and recovery workshops for children involving healthleaders in Cokrowijayan and Sukunan Villages in Banyuraden Village and village youth leaders, including theoryand practice. Additionally, there was assistance in measuring the anthropometry for growth monitoring. Otherassistance provided was in he form of additional food for infants and under five year children. In this program, Timof FKIK UMY (Medical Faculty Team of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University) also carried out the assessment ofthe knowledge and practice of mothers of infants and under five year children in terms of nutrition care. Themeasurement results are reported descriptively and analytically.
