Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of the overall and part learning methods and the eye-to-foot coordination towards leap skills on long jumps of senior high school students. This research is conducted on students of SMA Negeri 2 Sinjai. In this study, the researcher uses a treatment by the level of 2 x 2. The sample consists of 40 students that divided into four groups, each of them consists of 10 students. The technique of analysis uses two-way variance (ANOVA) and then it is continued with Turkey test at significance level α = 0,5. The results of this study indicate that (1) the overall learning method has a better effect than the part learning method towards long jump skills. (2) there is an interaction result between the overall and part learning method and the eye-foot coordination towards the result of long jump skills. (3) the overall learning method has a better effect than the part learning method that has high coordination. (4) the overall learning method has a better effect than the part learning methods that has low eye-foot coordination

Abstract

The purpose of research and development of pencak silat calisthenics training model for adolescents uses research method of Research & Development (R & D) from Borg and Gall. The subjects in this research and development are teenage athletes PPLP Riau Province, University of Pencak Silat Walet Puti Riau Province, University of Pencak Silat Tapak Suci Pekanbaru and Pencak Silat University of Kumango Riau Province. The test of model effectiveness uses test instrument to collect data of pencak silat athlete abilities. Analysis of research data uses the test of independent samples t-test with significance level of 0.05. Data analysis is obtained the average value of speed endurance training given the model of pencak silat calisthenics exercises in the experimental group is 478.94 and there are differences in results with the control group by the treatment with the common practice 431,23 test of difference significance with SPSS 17 gained result of t-count 2,396, df = 60 and p-value = 0.020 < 0.05. Based on the information, it can be concluded that the model of pencak silat calisthenics training for pencak silat athletes uses hand attacks developed and can be applied effectively and efficiently so it can improve the ability of pencak silat athletes.

Abstract

This study aimed to know dominant elements of physical and psychological factor in Petanque. Both of these factors are closely integrated in sport. This research was conducted as quantitative approach with descriptive-correlation design. The subjects of this study were athletes of UNESA, athletes of Lamongan, and coaches who came from all over Indonesia. For data analysis, it used Partial Least Square analysis. The result of this study can be seen from two parts. First result shows that physical factor that can be identified as dominant factor of Petanque consists ofwrist flexibility and aerobic parity element and for psychological factor, there are anxiety and self-confidence element. Second result shows that the dominant elements of physical and psychological factors of Petanque arephysiology, biomotor, and psychology which 97,6% dominantly affect Petanque.

Abstract

In a Virtual Reality training, young karate athletes divided in two groups (intervention vs. control group) responded to attacks of a virtual opponent. For the analysis, the first reaction of the responding karate athletes was detected. From that point three reaction times were subtracted to analyze the attack of the virtual opponent at the time of the recognition of the real athlete. The attacks were divided into four movement stages. Analysis of Variance (ANOVAs) with repeated measures and estimation of effect sizes as well as Bonferroni post-hoc tests were applied to calculate interactions between time (PRE to POST), group (intervention vs. control) and reaction time (150 ms vs. 255 ms vs. 370 ms). We found significant effects for time and time x group interactions for the attacks Gyaku-Zuki and Kizami-Zuki as well as an effect for time x reaction time in Gyaku-Zuki (all p < 0.001), but no significant effects for time x group x reaction time in both attacks (p > 0.05). Paired t-tests showed significant improvements in attack recognition from PRE to POST for the intervention group, but not for the control group. At the pretest all athletes responded to late movement stages (extension of the pushing arm) while the intervention group responded to early movement stages (preparing steps and reduction of distance before the attack) at the posttest due to the Virtual Reality training. Early steps for the preparation of the attack and the reduction of distance seem to be important signals for attack recognition.

Abstract

The scientific review manuscript from the results of this literature review elaborates the changes that occur in the body as an impact of old immobilization. Immobilization is a condition in which a person experiences movement limitations as a result of interference in the body's organs. The limitation of this physical movement as a physiological change in the body results from a period of time immobilization. Physiological changes during immobilization in a long time cause disruption of adaptation in the musculoskeletal includes permanent disruption of mobilization that will affect muscle endurance and decrease muscle mass, atrophy and muscle stability. In the cardiovascular section includes orthostatic hypotension disorders and thrombus formation, whereas on the respiration section includes disturbances in the decrease in various of lung volumes as a result of weakening of the respiratory muscles so that it affects the respiratory motion. By understanding the physiological changes that occur as a result of immobilization in a long time, it is expected that this literature review can find out how the prevention process and further the handling process.

Abstract

The low of students’ critical thinking when learning can be seen from several aspects such as the inability of students to identify a problem properly, so that the accomplishment in learning is not solved properly. The purpose of this study is to see an increase in critical thinking skills through problem based learning models in physical education learning. The method of this research is an experimental method with randomize pretest and posttest control group design. The sampling technique chosen in this research was cluster random sampling, so the samples in this study were divided into two classes: the experimental group and the control group of 68 students. The instrument that used in terms of seeing students' critical thinking skills uses written tests with true-false questions (B-S). The results of this study indicate that the problem based learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills well in physical education learning.

Abstract

This study is to determine the effect of physical activity on students' emotional quotient. The research method that used is the psychology of emotional quotient, and experimental methods. The results of data calculations, the significance value indicates the number 0.001 <0.05. It shows that there is a significant increase in the emotional quotient of children that are treated by using physical activity. Physical activity that developed at school influences children's emotional quotient. In developing maximum achievement and learning outcomes in school, emotional quotient that possessed by a student is a critical determinant of student success that must be owned. Emotional quotient is very important in the success of life, in this case the success that is emphasized is in life at school. Physical activity that developed in this study has an impact on increasing of children's emotional quotient.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) to develop design of learning software as a learning source on the Pencak Silat subject, designing appropriate theory to be used in learning media of Pencak Silat, (2) to determine the feasibility of learning media for Pencak Silat. This research can be categorized as a Research and Development. To get validity product, it would be tested by validity test. Validation was conducted by the expert in Pencak Silat theory, expert in media and trial on a group of students to obtain the advisability of the media that would be used. The validity test used questionnaire test. The data was analyzed by using the quantitative descriptive analysis technique that revealed in scores of distribution and category scales of grading that determined. Based on the evaluation results by the experts of in material aspect owned average score is 4.0 and it has good category. Then the assessment by judges of media aspect obtained average score is 4.34, it has good category. The students’ response in small group average is 4.35 and it has good category. In conclusion, media that developed can be used for learning.

Abstract

This research intends to develop textbooks based on the practice of theoretical and practice subjects of field tennis for students of physical education of health and recreation major. The method that used in this research is the research and development method of brog and gall. This development results in a product in the form of a practice-based textbook on theoretical and practice courses of field tennis. The results of the analysis of this research data are at 84.41% which means that this textbook is proper to be used as teaching material for theory and practice course of field tennis for health and recreation physical education students IKIP Budi Utomo Malang.

Abstract

The goal of the research is to improve students’ motivation and to enhance students’ learning result. The development of the teaching book on Sports Nutrition refers to the 4D models which consist of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate, modified to be adapted to this research. The analysis of quantitative descriptive is used to process quantitative data that gained from the expert validation sheet (material, language, media) to know the advisability of the textbook. Product trials are carried out by comparing previous learning motivation data and after textbooks are used by students. Then the learning outcomes data were analyzed to determine the N-Gain value between pretest and posttest. Based on the results of expert validation, it is known that the Sports Nutrition textbook is proper and can be used as a lecture textbook with a material validation score of 91.6% (valid), language validation of 87.5% (valid) and 80% media validation (sufficient valid). The results of analysis of students learning result data are obtained an average pretest score of 6.86 and the average post-test score is 7.73. In conclusion, there is an increase of 0.87 and to be gotten N-Gain of 0.3 with the medium category. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the development of Sports Nutrition textbooks increases students' motivation and improves student learning outcomes Physical Education and Recreation IKIP Budi Utomo Malang.
