Abstract

Adobe as a building material to build a house, have a sizeable market. One village Nogosari,Kec.ngadirojo, Kab. Pacitan, from the results of field surveys in the brick-making process is still very less effective,so as to enhance the economy of citizens who are farmers rainfed and productive time work only 4 months.Dihasilkanpun brick production capacity is small enough that 300 pieces / 8 hours. To increase the capacity it needsto be developed and applied the appropriate technology, so the idea the author to replace conventional productiontools are still with vibro brick pressing machine that uses a gasoline engine propulsion. In this case the authorsanalyze lap and suppressive measures the distance to the wall in the mold, which aims to increase productioncapacity and get the best quality.In this study analyzed the round and suppressive measures the distance to the wall in the mold of the productioncapacity in a pressing machine combining brick with round and suppressive measures the distance to the wall in amold with different variables and testing each - each 3 times. Wherein rotation of analysis and distancedivariabelkan as follows rotation 5000 rpm, 4600 rpm, 4000 rpm and a distance of 30 mm, 25 mm, 20 mm. Analysisof the data and the results of the testing showed that the best maximum capacity of 240 units / h at 5000 rpmrotation and a distance of 30 mmKeywords ; brick, vibro (vibration), press (emphasis), capacity.

Abstract

Ketos Hamlet and Hamlet Cabe is 2 (two) of 7 (seven) Dudun Village Wonodadi Kulon Ngadirojo Pacitan, East Java. The problems faced by the community, especially for Ketos Hamlet and Hamlet Cabe whose territory theform of hills and rocks are prone / difficulty of clean water, clean water to meet the needs of the people using waterfrom springs and rainwater. In the dry season, water from springs debitnya reduced, so that less water needs in thevillage. Only water can not be drained using gravity because it is under the township residents located on the hill -a hill at an altitude of 750 m above sea level. The approach offered to solve the problem is by making a catchmentbasin, hydraulic ram and tank water divider.The effectiveness of the performance of hydraulic ram is influenced by several parameters, among others: the lengthof the inlet pipe, inlet pipe diameter, high penagkap tub of water, and heavy exhaust valve. This study aims toobserve and analyze the effect of altitude penagkap tub of water and heavy exhaust valve on the hydraulic ram pumphead. Methods of research through design and analyze hydraulic ram catcher height tub water is 3.5 m, 3 m and 2.5m and weight of the exhaust valves 16.6 N (1.7 kg), 21.6 N (2.2 kg) and 26.5 N (2.7 kg). Tests carried out in theriver, precisely in Hamlet and Hamlet Ketos Cabe, Pacitan.From the results of the data collection high catchment basin 3.5 m and weight of the exhaust valves 26.5 N (2.7 kg)with a height h = 180 m has a maximum pressure of other testing and discharge of produced water is 7.5 L / min. Sothe higher the catcher bath water (H) the higher the pressure generated in the intake, due to the greater mass andvelocity, the momentum is also getting bigger. As for the valve exhaust (w) with a heavy load and stride lengthconsiderable allow fluid to flow more quickly, so that when the valve sewage closing will surge high enoughpressure that makes impulse flow is greater exceeds the static pressure inlet pipe, and the may result in elevatedworking fluid toward the air tube. Abstract

Vane type hydraulic pump is a type of Positive Displacement pumps, which pump a moving elementrotational motion. Type hydraulic vane pumps are widely used in heavy equipment units, in addition to practicalbentukya, the price is relatively cheap and very easy maintenance among their group. Vane type hydraulic pumpalso has Internal Leakage factor is small. Damage that often occurs in the field on the vane type hydraulic pump that is the wear and tear on the rotor andside plate. One way to restore the pump performance to make cuts or pemotongngan (scrap) at the surface camring,rotor and side plate wear. Cutting a maximum of 1.5 mm from the previous size. T6DC-006 pump that haskarakteristk: Volumetric displacement (V) = 21.3 cm3/rev, Max. intermittent pressure (p) = 280bar, Maxcontinuous pressure (p) = 240bar, max speed (vmax = 2500 rpm. By testing the characteristics of hydraulic pump, cutting camring of 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm, is able to maintain theperformance characteristics of the pump up to 80% against standartnya, at 1500 rpm rotation, output flow (Qout) at0 bar = 32 L / min, while output flow (Qout) at 140 bar = 27 liters / min. so that the pump is worn or damaged theycan be reused.Keyword :

Abstract

Composite is a blend of two materials or that have a different phase becoming a new material, which has better properties than both. If fusion is occurring microscopic (molecular level) then referred to as alloy / blend.This study aims to analyze the surface of the fatigue test results using Macro photograph and SEM-EDX. In thisstudy was observed fracture fatigue test results. To determine the morphology of each treatment and no treatment.Conclusions testing fatigue fracture surface photograph can find out which models are tired of the results of afatigue fracture. The method is used, using the test results broken fatigue rotary bending fatigue fracture by taking alook at the best cycle. Then, after the material was broken in doing observations mikroskope photo to view themicrostructure and phase formed from each treatment and without heat treatment, after it is done using the STEMIDV4 macro image to see the surface of the account after break tired. Abstract

Dispenser is an electronic device to drain the water of gallons of water into the cup or glass that can automatically heats and cools water that is ready to drink. Also called water cooler dispenser (water cooler), butalong with the development of technology and the increasing complexity of human needs, the dispenser is not onlyused to cool water, dispenser also can heat the water using a heater. On the dispenser there is a straight capillarytube where the capillary tube is one of the important components in the engine cooler (dispenser) and had aconsiderable influence on the size of the resulting temperature on the evaporator. This study used a variation incapillary tube spiral shape and forms a straight capillary tube with a diameter of 0.026 cm pipe; 0.028 cm; 0.031cm and a fixed length of 100 cm.The results were obtained in the form of a capillary tube straight with the lowest temperature evaporator isgenerated at 0,026 cm diameter pipe, with a temperature of - 10 0C and the resulting high temperature evaporatorin the form of straight capillary tube with a pipe diameter of 0.031 cm, with a temperature of 0 C. Abstract

Viscosity of a liquid is one of the characteristics that determine the amount of fluid resistance to shearforce, the viscosity occurs mainly due to the interaction between the molecules of the fluid in the hydraulic system.This viscosity depends on temperature changes, therefore, use the proper oil viscosity especially those that do notchange much with temperature is needed once the hydraulic system in order to get a good performance. Thehydraulic system is a technology that utilizes liquid, usually oil, to perform an inline movement or rotation. Thissystem works on the principle of Pascal, ie if a liquid subjected to pressure, the pressure will propagate in alldirections with no increase or decrease its power. Hydraulic Trainner machine is a device that works usinghydraulic system applications , to move the tool cylinders using a fluid or oil of type SAE 10 , SAE 30 and so on .This thesis aims to analyze the influence of oil viscosity and oil temperature of the hydraulic system performanceand showed that oil SAE 30 turned out to have a better performance approximately 18 % of the oil SAE 30. It can beconcluded that for Trainner hydraulic machine is better to use oil SAE 10 oil than SAE 30 . Keyword : viscosity, temperature, hydraulic system, SAE 10 oil and SAE 30 oil.

Abstract

Proses perlakuan panas dilakukan di akhir suatu proses manufaktur dengan tujuan adanya peningkatan nilai dari suatu material. Aluminium jenis Al-6061 adalah material yang biasanya digunakan untuk kepentingan konstruksi, serta manufaktur part mesin otomotif. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi double quenching dan waktu pendinginan pada hasil pengecoran Al-6061 terhadap nilai kekerasannya. Al-6061 dicor dengan temperature hingga 600oC dan dicetak kemudian diberikan perlakuan panas double quenching pada tiga jenis media, air, oli SAE40, dan solar, dengan tiga variasi waktu tahan, yaitu 5, 10, dan 15 detik. Spesimen hasil penelitian tersebut diuji nilai kekerasannya menggunakan alat uji kekerasan Rockwell. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai kekerasan tertinggi diperoleh 49.4 HRB dengan media oli SAE+air dan waktu 10 detik. Nilai kekerasan terendah adalah 45.7 dengan media air+oli SAE40 dan waktu 15 detik. Media paling optimum untuk perlakuan panas double quenching dan meningkatkan nilai kekerasan adalah media oli SAE40 + air. Dan waktu tahan quenching paling optimum adalah 10 detik. Jika terlalu cepat (5 detik) dan terlalu lama (15 detik), angka kekerasannya cenderung lebih rendah.Kata kunci: aluminium, double quenching, kekerasan, oli SAE40, Rockwell.

Abstract

Composite is a kind of material which has srtuktur of two more phases authors, namely: filler(filler) and matrix (Sciti, D., et.all., 2011). The combination of material Al Alloy with bottom ashcoal ash, classified in types of composite materials, namely Metal Matrix Composite (MMC). In the MMC material engineering process, can be used as the matrix aluminum metal alloyas filler (filler). Metal Al as a monolithic, when in the review of mechanical properties, such as hardness(hardness) is very low. Therefore, the metal Al as a monolithic material has many weaknesses, notably: mechanical strength, stiffness and coefficient expansion. The advantages of metal Al, among others have:light weight, corrosion resistant, and easy in the form of(Casting). T6 heat treatment processis to conduct dissolution with treathment solution that specimenis heated at a temperature of 5400C and held for 6 hours and then in quenching is rapidly cooled specimen with water up to media at room temperature. Furthermore, the aging processis then performed again with variations in the specimen is heated and the temperature has been determined that the first nine specimens with a temperature of 1600C detained 3 hours, 5 hours, 7 hours, then another specimen 9 1800C detained 3 hours, 5 hours, 7 hours, and 9 specimens 2000C arrested last 3 hours, 5 hours, 7 hours and then cooled slowly to room temperature. From the results of research to get the final hardness testing and FER. Effect of aging temperature on the value of FER and violence are varied temperature range, the higher the aging temperature FER value increases, so does the value of violence. The highest value of 0.631742 FER is achieved at a temperature of 2000C aging and the highest hardness valueis achieved at a temperature of 1800C with a score of 70HRF. Effect of aging time variation of the value of FER and violence is at varied time spans, the longer aging FER value increases, so does the value of violence. The highest value of 0.631742 FER is achieved  at a time of 7 hours and achieved the highest hardness value of 3 hours with a score of 70HRF.Keywords: Composites, T6 heat treatment process, mechanical properties, FER.

Abstract

Air cooling machines has become a secondary requirement in major cities. This is because the air temperature continues to rise each year. Cooling machine has the central point in use they can be used as air-conditioning, food preservatives, and others - others. The impact that often occurs in using of cooling machine is continuously increasing the risk of damage to the cooler. Damage often occurs in the compressor of the cooling machine. The compressor itself is the heart of the cooling system. The cause damage to the compressor is usually due to inhibition of the capillary tube crust. In this study, the writer uses a shape variation of the capillary tube like spirals, triangles, rectangles and evaporator air velocity of 2.5 m/s, 4 m/s, 5 m/s, but with the same diameter capillary tube which is 0,54 mm. Based on the results of research that is conducted the best to form a capillary tube is evaporator spiral with air speed of 4 m/s, it is marked by the largest price of COP 10.5. This is due to compression levels fell to 18.6%, the effectiveness of the cooling machine would rise. Abstract

Pelton turbine is one of the impulse turbines, wherein the turbine is able to transform the water potentialenergy into kinetic energy by using a nozzle. The water that comes out of the nozzle with high speed at atmosphericpressure hit the bucket which consists of two symmetrical parts. After hit the bucket, the direction of the flowvelocity change resulting in a change of momentum (impulse), consequently rotating turbine wheel generatesmechanical energy. As well as pelton turbine models in laboratory fluid which has been studied by R. HartonoTeguh in his finally task in 2006 on Experimental studies Determining Characteristics of Model Redesign Peltonturbine in Lab. Fluid. Assess experimental this time aimed at the development which also examines the peltonturbine models to determine the effect of variations in the diameter of the nozzle and the angle of the bucket waste ofthe generated power and efficiency. Variation used is the diameter of the nozzle 6 and 9 mm with exhaust bucketangle 145o, 165o, and 175o. Pelton turbine models that were tested using a single nozzle, with a number of buckets22 pieces, as well as using a runner diameter of 150 mm. Dimensional bucket used has several main dimensions,namely the width of the bucket 36 mm, bucket length 27 mm, bucket depth of 8.10 mm, bucket gap width of 10.8 mm,and the distance of the center beam bucket Valentine of 13.5 mm. From the data obtained by tests performed powerand the largest turbine efficiency at variation of 6 mm diameter nozzle at an angle of 175o bucket exhaust i.e. 38.76Watts with an efficiency of 82.80%. The largest generator power can be achieved in the variation of 6 mm diameternozzle at an angle of 175o bucket exhaust i.e. 10.4 Watt, while the best efficiency occurs at the nozzle 9 mm diametervariation with angle of 175o exhaust bucket that is 50.61%.Keywords: Pelton Turbine, and Power Efficiency
