Educan: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is a journal published by Islamic Education Departement Faculty of Education University of Darussalam Gontor. ISSN : 2597-9043. Educan is a scientific media to develop the quality of academicians in Islamic universities in Indonesia, especially in the University of Darussalam Gontor. The aim of Educan journal is to publish high-quality articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Islamic education. The scope of this journal is about Islamic Education, Moral Education, Education of Pesantren (Pondok), Education Technology, Learning Methods, Curriculum Design and Development. It was first published in 2017 in press version and published by an online system in 2018.

Abstract

Aqidah Akhlak lessons subject includes two things: first educating students to behave in accordance with Islamic values and morals, secondly educating students to study the material of Islamic teachings. Learning about Aqidah akhlah subject matter should have been taught since the child was born into this world to an educational level by applying various learning strategies. The Prophet has exemplified the learning methods that can be applied in educating the morals of the Companions as well as the Bil Hikmah method, Mauidzah hasanah method, Mujadalah method, the method of motivation, asking questions and throwing questions method, demonstrations method, stories method, imagery method, and rewards and punishments method. the inability of educators to choose methods or errors in the use of methods is often the trigger for not maximizing learning outcomes. In this study the researcher used the Poster comment method. This method aims to increase creativity and encourage students to reason with the problems faced. Based on the results of observations at Ma'arif 1 Ponorogo Middle Schoole the researchers found that the methods often used by teachers at the school were lecture and question and answer methods. This method affects the lack of attention of students to the teacher when explaining the lesson because of the monotonous method. It was found that of the 29 students who took the exam only 45% of students reached the KKM 75 standard. It was expected to improve learning values, and the learning activeness of 7th grade students of Ma'arif 1 Ponorogo Middle School so as to accelerate the achievement of learning goals

Abstract

The progress of an educational institution wherever its location is greatlyinfluenced by the quality and professionalism of the principal in leading, especiallyleading school personnel, both educators and education personnel. The purpose ofthis writing is: (1) to find out how the principal's efforts as an innovator inincreasing teacher creativity in MAN 1 Madiun. (2) find out what are the factorsthat support the principal's efforts as an innovator in improving teacher creativity atMAN 1 Madiun. (3) find out what are the factors that hinder the principal's effortsas an innovator in increasing teacher creativity. This study uses descriptivequalitative research, with methods of collecting observation data, interviews, anddocumentation. As for the data analysis, using descriptive qualitative data analysis.This study concludes that: 1) Efforts of Principals as Innovators in ImprovingTeacher Creativity MAN 1 Madiun, namely: Provide opportunities for teachers toimprove their creation, Give rewards to outstanding teachers, Putting the teacher inaccordance with its potential, Include teachers in seminars and training, Providesufficient space for the teacher to develop himself through the MGMP, MaximizingPKG performance (teacher performance assessment). 2). Supporting Factors ofSchool Principals' Efforts as Innovators in Improving Teacher Creativity in MAN 1Madiun, namely: Professional headmaster, Embedded culture competes with eachteacher. 3). Inhibiting Factors of School Principals' Efforts as Innovators inImproving Teacher Creativity MAN 1 Madiun, namely: self motivation as a part ofteachers who lack, Different abilities for each teacher, limited facilities andinfrastructure.

Abstract

The loss of one individual in the family can be a cause of the formation of a child's character is less than optimal and this incident is often the case in the family of Indonesian workers. But not all children who grow up in the family of Indonesian workers have a bad character, because there are still families who can form their children to grow with good character even though they have to lose one parent to work. The purpose of the study is: (1) To find out the role of the family in forming character in the families of migrant workers in the Ngumpul Village, Balong District, Ponorogo Regency, (2) To find out the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of character formation in the families of migrant workers in the Ngumpul Village, Balong District, Ponorogo Regency.From the results of the research researchers found that there are family roles in shaping the character of families of migrant workers.these roles are : 1) Embedding religious values, 2) getting used to doing good, 3) being an example and replacing the position of the mother, 4) giving assignments, 5) instilling the nature of independence, 6) inviting discussion. The attitudes held by educators in thefamilies of migrant workers in character building efforts are: 1) patient, 2) sincere, 3) firm, 4) openness between family members.Supporting factors in character building in the families of migrant workers are: 1) home environment, 2) school environment, 3) work environment, 4) community environment.

Abstract

In an educational institution, there were goals in realizing a quality education. The quality of the school could be seen from the results of the education. Moreover, it could be seen on the quality of  principals, teachers, and students.  In this case, KMI's as an educational institution play an important role in increasing teacher professionalism. Therefore, the school had an effort to improve the professionalism of teachers. In this study, researchers conducted a study in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor after making several observations in the cottage. this institution had two activities, namely academic and non-academic. From the results, it could be found that KMI's had an effort to improve teacher professionalism such training and orientation, ta'hil,learning assignments examination of learning units, education supervision, checking achievement of targets teaching by examining student records. In addition, KMI also conducted Upgrading and Orientation by gathering new teachers and  giving an understanding  to the education and learning system. Learning Tasks: their application by requiring teachers to become active students and providing supporting facilities related to developing knowledge. Examination Teaching materials: require the teacher to make teaching materials   that will be ratified by the teacher who serves as picket of Shaykh Diwan. Supervision in Learning: guiding the teacher from the start the teacher prepares teaching materials to how the teacher evaluates students. Checking Achievement of KBM Targets the quality of teaching and learning by examining student records: by requiring all teaching teachers to check the writing every week  before the test is conducted.

Abstract

The activity of memorizing the qur’an in groups with peers is on teh methods carried out by tahfidz teachers in improving the quality of memorization of the santri. Where the tahfidz teacher is not just teaching, but also he must be able to guide, evaluate, and supervise the students to always memorize and improve the quality of memorization of al qur’an. One of them is by using the peer support education method in improving the quality of memorizing the qur’an of the santri. Where inside there are lots of social interactions and support. Be it from their peers, the tahfidz teacher, and the other. The purpose of this study wa fo find out how the efforts of tahfidz teachers in improving the quality of memorizing the qur’an of the santri using the peer support education method in Ma’had Al Muqoddasah Litahfidzil Qur’an, Nglumpang, Mlarak, Ponorogo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, and to obtain the required data, researchers use interview, observation, and documentation methods

Abstract

As for improving learning results teachers must be good at choosing methodsand learning models that will be applied to students. One of them is implementingthe STAD type cooperative learning model. In Junior High School Kunir 1 Blitaracademic year 2018/2019. The research objectives in this study were: (1) Describethe application of the STAD Cooperative learning model to the learning outcomesof Fiqh lessons in the PDCI class of MTsN Kunir Wonodadi Blitar. (2) Explainwhether or not there is an effect of the application of the STAD learning model onthe learning results of PDCI students in the MTsN Kunir Wonodadi District Blitaron Fiqh subjects.This type of research is quantitative experimental research withpost-test only design. The data collection instrument uses tests and data analysisusing the normality test, homogeneity test, t test and regression test.The results ofthis study indicate that: (1) Implementing the STAD learning model can improvestudent learning outcomes in Fiqih subjects in the PDCI MTsN 1 Kunir, Wonodadi,Blitar school year 2018-2019. (2) There are influences of learning results in theexperimental class with the number of 18 students having an average of 97.05%who previously had a class average of 58.33% and a control class with a total of 18students having a mean grade of 92.66% previously had a class average of 61.66%with t count of tresult4.041> ttable 1.688 and the results of the regression test 0.014under 0.050.

Abstract

Structure of the KMI (Kulliyyatul Muallallin al-Islamiyyah) curriculum includes the Islamic studies subjects group, Arabic studies subjects group, and the general sciences subjects group. KMI's curriculum tends to the model of subject academic and technologic curriculum.Guidance and Counseling for Santri who are responsible for non-formal education, its curriculum structure relates to the self expression or self-actualization for the development of life skills, both soft skills and hard skills. The Guidance and Counseling for Santri’s curriculum tends to the humanistic and social reconstruction curriculum model.The integrated management of the curriculum in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor is to conserve an equal balance of general education and religious education, active Arabic and English learning methods, and a disciplined boarding system; by using a holistic knowledge paradigm. All managerial functions of the KMI curriculum and Guidance and Counseling for Santri’s curriculum are intended to design the graduate as an ‘ulama and intellectuals, as the glue of ummah; as the intellectuals-‘ulama, not intellectuals who knows a little thing of religion; all graduate’s competencies are reflected in the mottoes: the noble character, sound body, broad knowledge, and independent mind.Management of curriculum integration of KMI and Guidance and Counseling for Santri design a beautiful configuration and symbiotic mutualism in reaching the goals of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor.

Abstract

Learning Arabic in the world was an importance issue of countries. Therefore, the University of Darussalam Gontor has established a presence in its future vision, which is the formation of the university as a center for the teaching of the language of the Qur'an. Therefore, the University of Darussalam established the Language Center, an Arabic language learning center, and intensive training courses using intensive Arabic language textbooks. It is interesting to note that the center of the language used the book of intensive language lessons and did not use books to teach the other Arabic language. As a result, the researcher wanted to search for the method of intensive Arabic language textbooks. This research is an attempt by the researcher to understand the approach of the book of intensive Arabic language courses in view of the standard of organizing the book, advantages, and deficiency.

Abstract

Tarjamah is one of the subject taught in Islamic Training Teacher College Modern Islamic Boarding School Gontor One For Girls. According to the purposeof it learning, this subject enters into Diraasaah Islamiyyah field. But since theholding of the revision, Tarjamah especially as the subject of class four with specialbook and Nahwu Al-Wadih book systematics complete with the rule of translationwith examples and exercises can be entered into Dirasah Lughowiyyah field.Therefore curriculum staff Islamic Training Teacher College Modern IslamicBoarding School hopes to the teacher of Tarjamah is the teacher with anaccomplished expert in the field of Arabic language such as Nahwu, Shorf andBalaghah not the contrary nor just teachers where possible to teach. In the processof teaching and learning which has lasted for tarjamah around four years with hernew material found numerous problems, especially problems in his teaching.

Abstract

It is the fact that the Qur’an is the word of God, which wa delivered by the Prophet Muhammad, as a guide for humans in organizing their lives, the world and the hereafter. The purpose of this day is to: 1) reveal the importance of learning Waqf in Tafseer Ibn Katsir in surah Al-‘Alaq verses 1-5. In the interpretation of surah Al-‘Alaq verses 1-5 during the interpretation of Ibn Katsir and Al-Misbah. According to Ibn Katsir by carrying out the learning process humans, will obtain knowledge. It is necessary to discuss, to develop knowledge and to conduct investigations on all that is not known and know. By ‘ilm (knowledge), Allah elevate human degrees, 2) According to Tafseer Al Misbah, Islam instructs humans to learn from written and oral texts and everything that comes from Allah and humans that was equipped with the intention of devotion to God. 3) The similiarity: Tafseer Ibn Katsir and Al-Misbah agreed that reading is important in human life. This is the key to science. Learning is an obligation for humans because after the learning process comes from new science unless he knows, and science raises God. The difference point was: Ibn Katsir explained the verses of Qur’an is in brief. Besides, Ibn Katsir stated the history of ayat with the essential of knowledge in the human life. Tafseer Al Misbah the verses of Qur’an separately. Moreover, he enclosed the statement of other mufasirin.
