Abstract

One of the keys of education success  is the teacher. The teacher plays an important role in the learning process to improve the quality of students. Therefore the professionalism of a teacher is very important to note. Professional teachers are those who are able to carry out their duties as educators to the maximum by having the ability and expertise as an educator. This research is library research. The theory is obtained from the library data then investigated it to find out the conception objective result. The result of this research is to realize the goals of education, appropriate development strategies are needed in order to improve teacher professionalism. There are some step that have to done in holding education and training they are need analysis, goal setting, building  program content and program evaluation. Education and training is a development strategy that aims to improve teacher competence in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Abstract

The progress of a madrasa or educational institution needs to be supported jointly by all elements, small environment (family), madrasas (educational institutions), and the environment (community). These three elements must be combined, synergized, with the hope of producing results or good quality education outcomes. This expectation must of course be carried out / improved by the education provider (madrasa). in the sense that madrasas play an active role in establishing communication with elements of the environment (community), both with teachers, education personnel, student guardians, or with surrounding communities. in realizing this good relationship, the implementation of community relations management is needed. Madrasas in the current era really require an active role from the community in supporting its success, both in educating, providing great opportunities and giving birth to capable, independent sons of the nation. so that later, students can adapt to the environment, in establishing good communication. Management of public relations management is very important, so that communication links between educational institutions and the surrounding environment (community) generally encourage and participate in supporting the success of an educational institution.

Abstract

This research aimed to find the implementation and effect of classroom management on learning outcome of students. It is a field research with a quantitative approach, using descriptive quantitative statistic analysis as an analylis data technique. The results of the data found about the significance of classroom management on student learning outcomes at SMK Muhammadiyah Watansoppeng.

Abstract

Permasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1). Bagaimana hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII MTs. Batusitanduk yang tidak diajar dengan model Learning Cycle 7E berbasis pendekatan konstruktivisme? (2). Bagaimana hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII MTs. Batusitanduk yang diajar dengan model Learning Cycle 7E berbasis pendekatan konstruktivisme? (3). Apakah model Learning Cycle 7E berbasis pendekatan konstruktivisme efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII MTs. Batusitanduk?. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan true-experimental tipe pre test-post test control group design dengan populasi yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs. Batusitanduk tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 115 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling sehingga terpilih dua kelas yang menjadi sampel yaitu kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 29 siswa dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 29 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan pemberian tes dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai siswa sebelum perlakuan untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 65,66 dan untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 67,31. Dari hasil uji statistik z diperoleh dengan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh , sehingga maka H0 diterima, artinya tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas. Rata-rata nilai siswa setelah perlakuan untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,83 dan untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 70,86. Dari hasil uji statistik z diperoleh dengan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh . Sehingga , maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, artinya hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari hasil belajar kelas kontrol.

Abstract

The research aims to know the improvement of education quality model school management based and to find out the the supporting and inhibiting factor in improving education quality model school management based. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Data was analyzed through collecting data, data reducation, data display, and conclusion. The quality improvement model school management based in SMP N 8 Palopo has fulfilled eight quality standar by preferring five steps those are analyzing model school quality development data, analyzing root problem of model school development, planning model school quality development, and the imrpvement implementation of model school qualitydevelopment. The supporting factors of model school management based improvement are the principal leadership, creating well competention for teachers and students, and school guidance in improving school quality. The inhabitation factors are school environment, teachers, education quality and a number of teacher school activities.

Abstract

Untuk mewujudkan pendidikan yang bekualitas, perlu adanya pengelolaan secara menyeluruh dan professional terhadap sumber daya yang ada dalam lembaga pendidikan. Salah satu sumber daya yang perlu dikelola dengan baik dalam lembaga pendidikan adalah masalah keuangan. Dalam konteks ini keuangan merupakan sumber dana yang sangat diperlukan sekolah sebagai alat untuk melengkapi berbagai sarana dan prasarana pemelajaran di sekolah, meningkatkan kesejahteraan guru, layanan dan pelaksanaan program supervisi. Oleh karena itu, kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin pendidikan di sekolah harus mengetahui dan mampu mengelola keuangan sekolah dengan baik, bertanggung jawab dan transparan kepada masyarakat dan pemerintah.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to determine the effect of principls’ managerial skills on the quality of education, to know the effect of teacher performance on education quality, and to know the influence of principals’ managerial skills and teacher performance on the quality of education. This research is quantitative with ex-post facto by descriptive-quantitatif characteristic. The population are 67 people with saturated sampling technique. Data processing begins with a validity test and reliability test of the research instrument is obtained using SPSS. The analisys of prerequisite test included normality, homogeneity test and linierity test. The final analysis (hypothesis testing) using statistical multiple regression analysis Y=α + βX1 + βX2 as a predictor in determining the magnitude of fungsional relationship between variables X1 and X2 with variable Y. Hyphothesis test using SPSS program assistance. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that the influence of principals’ managerial skills and teacher performance on education quality is 36.2%. It means that 36.2% of principals’ managerial skill (X1) and teacher’s performance (X2) influence the education quality variable (Y) through a linier relationship Y=29.480+0.058+0.475. therefore there is influence of principals’ managerial skills and teacher’s performance on the quality of education at MTs Negeri Palopo.

Abstract

Educational supervision is an effort to guide school principals to teachers, and guidance counseling teachers in schools in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools. The purpose of this study is to find out 1) The process of preparing the principal's supervision program in increasing the professional competence of the counseling guidance teacher, 2) The implementation of the educational supervision program by the principal in improving the professional competence of the counseling guidance teacher, and 3) The principal's follow-up in implementing the supervision of education for improve the professional competence of counseling guidance teachers. This research uses descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. Research subjects were the principal, vice principal and counseling guidance teacher. The results of his research show that: 1) The supervision program of the headmaster of Palopo 8 Junior High School was prepared at the beginning of each semester of the school year by involving the deputy headmaster, counseling guidance teacher, and teacher in the field of study. The supervision program includes the activities of professional teacher guidance and guidance as well as training for teachers that are tailored to their fields. 2) The supervision of the head of SMP Negeri 8 Palopo follows the program that has been prepared, the technique used is through teacher meetings, classroom observations and personal conversations. Especially for classroom observation techniques, they have already used observation guidelines, but the quantity in the implementation has not been maximized. 3) The follow-up supervision of the headmaster of Palopo 8 Junior High School was observed through individual talks, giving advice, coaching, and guiding counseling guidance teachers with a focus on better implementation of activities, but the principal did not fully understand the counseling guidance program

Abstract

Kehadiran tehnologi informasi dan komunikasi menyebabkan terjadinya tuntutan dari masyarakat untuk mendapatkan pelayanan yang lebih cepat, transparan, tidak dibatasi waktu dan tempat Khusus dalam bidang pendidikan, tehnologi informasi dan komunikasi merupakan suatu keniscayaan untuk mempermudah penyelenggaraan pendidikan sekaligus meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Tehnologi informasi dan komunikasi dimaksud dalam bentuk sebuah sistem yang menggunakan perangkat tehnologi informasi dan kemunikasi yang memungkinkan semua stakeholder dapat melakukan perannya masing-masing dengan mudah dan cepat yang secara umum disebut sistem informasi manajemen. Sistem informasi manajemen dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam pendidikan Islam adalah suatu kebutuhan. Hal ini didasari atas fakta bahwa masyarakat sekarang ini membutuhkan dan menuntut pelayanan pendidikan berkualitas. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diberikan adalah tersedianya instrumen dan infrastruktur tehnologi yang memungkinkan pendidikan diselenggarakan dengan baik dan bermutu dalam bentuk sistem informasi manajemen pendidikan Islam. Dalam tulisan ini masalah pokok yang dibahas adalah bagaimana system informasi manajemen pada lembaga pendidikan Islam. Sebagai bahan perbandingan, pembahasan dimulai dengan mengemukakan bagaiamana pengalaman beberapa negara berkembang dalam menerapkan sistem informasi manajemen pendidikan di negara masing-masing untuk dijadikan pelajaran dari pengalaman mereka dalam menerapkan sistem informasi manajemen pendidikan. Penelitian Marcus Powell dirujuk untuk memaparkan pengalaman Bangladesh, Mozambik, Ghana, dan Nigeria dalam penerapan sistem informasi manajemen pendidikan yang menunjukkan beberapa fakta penting yang dapat dijadikan pelajaran Pada bagian selanjtnya dikemukakan bagaimana system informasi manajemen pada lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study describes the principal's supervisory model in improving teacher performance, the stages of principal supervision in improving teacher performance, and the obstacles faced in implementing principal supervision in improving teacher performance. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with pedagogical approach, psychological approach, sociological approach and managerial approach. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 8 Palopo. Data sources are primary and secondary sources. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments were interview guidelines, observation sheets and documentation. The data is processed by editing, coding, and tabulation. Data were analyzed by data reduction, data display, and conclusions. Testing the validity of the data was carried out through triangulation of techniques and triangulation of sources. The results showed that the supervision models used were conventional models, artistic models, scientific models and clinical models. The stages of supervision, namely the planning stage, include socialization, explaining supervision indicators, and making schedules, the implementation stage includes pre-observation, observation and post-observation activities, and finally the follow-up stage. Obstacles in implementing supervision are the broad managerial scope of school principals, teachers lack of preparation for learning, high supervisor teacher subjectivity, frequent replacement of school principals, limited facilities and infrastructure, and lack of teacher discipline.
