Abstract

This research aims to identify the extension worker’s performance level and the farmer’s perceptionto the extension worker’s performance of West MetroBP3K as BP3K CoE Model in West Metro District,Metro City. This research was done in four Sub-Districts namely Mulyojati, Mulyosari, Ganjar Agung,and Ganjar Asri as development area BP3K West Metro. The research was conducted on July to August 2013. The number of samples were 7 extension workers and 95 farmers that was taken usingproportional random sampling. The analysis method is used in this research is descriptive, qualitativemethod and Rank Spearman analysis. The result of research show that: (1) The level of extensionworkers performance in BP3K West Metro district was categorized into medium class (2) The level offarmers’ perception to the extension worker’s performances of West Metro BP3K were categorizedinto medium class (3) The factors relating to the farmers perception in extension worker’s performanceof West Metro BP3K were level of farmer’s education, farmer’s social interaction, and the level offarmer’s income. The farmer’s age, the length of farmer’s experience, and the number of farmer families member were not really related.Key words: Extension Workers, Farmers, Model CoE, Perception, and Performance

Abstract

This study aims to study the impact of El Nino on the production and revenues of cassava based on agroindustry in Karang Anyar Village, Gedongtataan Sub-district of Pesawaran District.  The location was chosen purposively.  The sample size was 37 kelanting industries and 13 cassava chips industries. The data of this research were collected from February to March 2016.  The data was analyzed by income analysis  and income statement analysis in addition to the middle test value. The study showed that there was significant difference on average production of cassava based on agroindustry between normal and El Nino seasons.  There was also significant different on average income of cassava based on agroindustry between normal and El Nino season.  There was  significant difference on average total cost of cassava based on agroindustry between normal and El Nino seasons and there was significant difference on input and output prices of cassava based on agroindustry between normal and El Nino season. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the efficiency of cabbage marketing system in Gisting Subdistrict.  The research was conducted purposively in Gisting Atas Village and Gisting Permai Village in April-September 2016.  Farmer respondents were chosen randomly and marketing channel respondents were taken by tracing marketing networks. Data analysis included analysis of marketing system efficiency.  Data analysis method using S-C-P method. The results showed that the marketing system of cabbage in Gisting Subdistrict were inefficient with producer share (Ps) above 54,49  percent, with the following conditions: (a) the market structure was an imperfect competition. (b) the market conduct: cabbage farmers had no difficulty in marketing their product. (c) the market performance: there were twelve marketing channel; marketing margin and Profit Margin Ratio were relatively high, and the elasticity of price transmission was more than one.  Key words: cabbage, efficiency, marketing, S-C-P model

Abstract

This research of analysis of the development strategy of Islamic microfinance institutions used SWOTanalysis. This study aimed to analyze the internal and external environmental conditions and alternativestrategies that can be applied in the development of Baitul Mal Wa TanWil (BMT) Al Hasanah Sekampung.The BMT internal environmental conditions showed that: 1) the level of education and skills of themanagement and employees were quite high and professionally, 2) the BMT has a strategic location, 3) theboards were very discipline, 4) the capital was used effectively, 5) product service very helpful members.Whereas, the five internal weaken factors were: 1) members who did not understand the concept of sharia, 2)the condition of the narrow building, 3) the administrative costs, 4) the capital owned cooperative was notgreat, 5), not all members could enjoy the service product. While the BMT external conditions were 1) theavailability of capital from third parties, 2) the BMT adopt profit-sharing system, 3) the governmentregulations that support BMT, 4) the majority of local merchants, 5) the online transfer technology, 6) mostof the capital third, 7) the increase of fuel prices, 8) the legislation government to the concept of sharia, 9)people did not understand the concept of Islamic and conventional, and 10) the cost of procurement. Basedon the three obtained priority strategies, the highest priority strategic alternatives were a) improve thequality of care, b) officers and employees had a high level of education, and c) the cooperation withgovernment and private agencies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyze the internal and external environment, the customers attitude, and the development strategy of agribusiness in PT Sayuran Siap Saji.  This research uses a case study method in PT Sayuran Siap Saji.  Respondents of this research are employee and customers of PT Sayuran Siap Saji, and Department of Agriculture and Forestry Bogor District and Department of Cooperative, UKM, Industry, and Trade Bogor District.  Data analysis method that used in this research are descriptive qualitative analysis (SWOT) and descriptive quantitative (analysis of customer attitudes).  The result of this research shows that: (1) the main strength of PT Sayuran Siap Saji is a good product quality, while the main weakness is the lack of promotion. The main opportunity of PT Sayuran Siap Saji is increasing number of restaurants that require fresh cut vegetable products, while the main threat is the customers switch to another company, (2) the biggest of customers attitude value to the attributes PT Sayuran Siap Saji is an on time delivery attribute, (3) the main priority strategy of PT Sayuran Siap Saji is manage a better management functions to affect the performance of the company, technology development, and customers loyalty. In addition, maintaining product quality in order to remain certified HACCP by using good raw materials, appropriate technology, the specialization of labor, and do a promotion activities. Keywords: customers attitude, development strategy, fresh cut vegetable
