The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. The purposes of this research are to analyze the income of cocoa farming, the income of cocoa farmer households, the poverty level of cocoa farmer households, the factors affecting the poverty rate of cocoa farmer households. This research was conducted in Sungai Langka Village, Gedong Tataan Subdistrict Pesawaran Regency. Respondents were 51 cocoa farmers taken using stratified random sampling method based on land area. The analytical methods used were farm income analysis, household income analysis, household poverty level analysis, logistic analysis of farming household poverty level. The results showed that cash income of cocoa farming is Rp8,027,576.78 per ha per year and revenue at total cost Rp Rp4,335,373.38 per ha per year. The household income of cocoa farmers is Rp21,277,833.33 per year. Based on the World Bank indicator, the number of nonpoor farmers is 52.94 percent and poor farmers is 47.05 percent. And based on indicator BPS (2016) there are no poor farmers in food poverty, whereas the number of poor farmers in nonfood poverty is 31.37 percent and nonpoor farmers of 68.63 percent. The common poverty line is 21.57 percent of poor farmers and 78.43 percent of non-poor farmers. The percentage of the poor is 0.21, the poverty intencity index is 0.042, the poverty severity index is 0.00034. Factors that affect the poverty level is household income.Key words: cocoa, farming income, household income, poverty rate

This study aims to analyze the household income’s structure and distribution, and the household welfare level among cooperatives members, in addition to analyze factors that affected the household welfare of cooperative members. This research employed case study method. The data was collected from September to October 2016. The research respondents were 55 people who were all members of KSUP MDIT. The data was consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by observation and interview; while secondary data was obtained from the agencies and literatures associated with the study. The data was analyzed by income analysis, income distribution analysis, welfare analysis and binnary logistic regression analysis. The result showed that the biggest member of cooperative member's household income structure in the latest year was non livestock earnings of On Farm followed by non farm income, goat business income and off farm income. Distribution of household member income of cooperatives were in low inequality. Based on Socio Metrix indicator, 70.91% cooperative members’ households were included in prosperous category and the remaining 29.09% were not prosperous and old variables of education, length of membership, and household income have a positive effect on welfare level.Key words: distribution income, prosperity of members, income

This study aimed to analyze the leadership level of the farmer group chairman, the dynamism level of the farmer group, the relation between farmer grup chairman’s leadership and group dynamics, in addition to the relation of group dynamics and rice productivity in Natar Sub-Distict of South Lampung Regency. This study was conducted purposively in Natar Sub-District of South Lampung Regency by survey method, in which respondents consist of 69 farmer groups. The data was collected in September - December 2016. The data was analyzed descriptively and statistically, in which the relation between variables of this study were tested by Rank-Sperman Correlation Test. The results showed that: the leadership level of the farmer group chairman in Natar Sub-District of South Lampung Regency was in good classification, the dynamics level of the group was in quite good classification. The leadership of the farmer group’s chairman in Natar Sub-District was significantly related to the group dynamics, whereas group dynamics was not correlated significantly to productivity of rice in Natar Sub-Distric of South Lampung Regency.Key words : group dynamics, leadership, productivity of rice

The research aims to know the income level and production’s efficiency of upland rice farming in Sidomulyo Subdistrict of South Lampung Regency. The Location of this research was chosen purposively with consideration that the area is upland rice production centers in Lampung. This research used a survey method and the data were collected in Nov-Dec 2016. The samples consist of 54 upland rice farmers selected using stratified random sampling method. The income level of upland rice farming is analyzed by using income analysis method. The production efficiency of upland rice farming is analyzed by using production stochastic frontier function analysis method. The results showed that the income level of upland rice farming in rainy season (November 2016 until March 2017) was provitable about Rp 1.381.414/ha, R/C value of total cost was about 1.22. The production efficiency level of upland rice farming was 89 percent (not efficienct yet).Key words : efficiency, income, production, upland rice

This study aims to find out the performance of the P2BN Program, to find out the level of rice farmersâ€™ participation in the P2BN Program and to study the factors that influence the rice farmer participation in the P2BN Program. The research method used is a survey. The location is determined intentionally in subdistricts Seputih Mataram Central Lampung regency in November - December 2016.Â Sample units are 95 rice farmers. The analyses of data used descriptive method and used Rank-Spearman correlation to test the hypothesis. The results of the research showed that: the performance of P2BN Program in planning, implementation, profit utilization, and evaluation in Seputih Mataram Subdistrict of Central Lampung Regency is in high classification, The level of rice farmer participation in P2BN Program is in middle classification.Â Factors significantly related to farmersâ€™ participation in implementation of P2BN Program are knowledge on P2BN Program and social support.Â Meanwhile, the large of arable land, income level, and facility received by farmers do not have relationship with their participation in the P2BN Program.Key words: P2BN Program, Â participation, Seputih Mataram

This study aims to examine the implementation, the level of farmers’ participation, and factors related to the level of participation in the Upsus Pajale program in South Rawa Jitu Sub-District of Tulang Bawang Regency. This study data was collected in January-February 2017 by envolving 54 farmers’ respondents. This study was conducted by survey method and its data was analyzed descriptively and statistically by Rank Spearman Correlation. The results showed that factors related to farmers’ participation in Upsus Pajale Program were production, group communication behavior and intensity of program socialization. Farmers' participation in planning activity was mostly (59,26%) in moderate category, participation in implementation activity was mostly (83,3%) in high category, participation in monitoring and evaluation activities was low (46,3%) and participation in the utilization of development outcomes was high (100%). In overall, most of farmers' participation in Upsus Pajale program in Rawa Jitu Selatan sub District wass moderate (48,15%) .Key words: farmer, participation, Upsus Pajale

This research aims to analyze the mechanism of food granary in supporting household food availability, performance of food granary institution, and factors that affect the performance of the food granary in Ambarawa Subdistrict Pringsewu Regency. The location was determined purposively with consideration that Ambarawa Subdistrict is one district which has a lot of active food granary institutions. Data were collected in September 2016. The samples were determined proportionately randomly, as many as 30 active food granaries in Ambarawa village, Ambarawa Barat village, and Sumber Agung village. This research used a survey method, and the data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the mechanism of food granary was realized by saving and borrowing of unhusk rice. The members of food granary can borrow as much as 100 – 1,000 kilograms of rice per year. They borrow rice at the time of scarcity before harvest time, and save rice after harvest time. The results showed that the performance of 46.67 percent of food granaries are categorized in a low level and 53.33 percent in medium level. Factors that affect the performance of food granary in Ambarawa Subdistrict, Pringsewu Regency, are the age of food granary, the number of members, and the kind of food granary.
