Abstract

Family Medicinal Plants or in Bahasa named as TOGA (Tanaman Obat Keluarga) has been a historical tradition in Indonesia for its effectiveness. most of villager merely depend on tale on how to utilize the home plants as medicine. Also, there are some hereditary habits which become their guidelines on how to make use of family medicinal plants. This community service purpose is creating mobile application for educating family medicinal plants for villager. This mobile application containing knowledge for utilizing family medicinal plants based upon scientific research and its recipe for them. Mobile application has already been published to play store and available for downloading. It also already trained to villager and disseminate by putting it in banner at village office of Petung Sewu.

Abstract

The objectives of the program were to rise student’s English speech and the students can arrange the speech script. The program conducted at Babusalam boarding school Kabupaten Kapuas.It conducted in three times for giving training to the students. Direct method, demonstration and workshop were used as training method in this workshop. The instructur gave the students materials how to speech English well. After having workshop the students get new motivation in learning it. The training methods were useful to give them trainee although they are basic level . The result indicated most of students interesting to speech practice. They brave to show their speech one by one in front of instructurs.

Abstract

Teaching and learning process in the classroom tends to be boring. This happened especially in EFL classroom where the students are not fully aware on the material given. Boring class will also happen when teacher brings very difficult or advance material. In fact, this matter will affect the process itself. This problem can be solved through the usage of games in the classroom. Games can be regarded as entertainment during lesson, media to deliver the material, tool for exercise and assignment, and technique to enhance student’s learning. There are four (4) games delivered in this workshop. They are hot potato, big and small number, tic-tac-toe, and chaining the story. These four games are introduced to the instructors of English Transmigration Village in Mandastana, Barito Kuala. The result of this workshop are the instructors enjoyed the activities, they deliberately asking the actual implementation of the games on the classroom, and they have improved their teaching ability.

Abstract

Mathematics is still considered one of the difficult subjects in junior high schools. Therefore, mathematics teachers must find better way to motivate their students to like the subjects. Fraction is one of the topics that need serious effort to learn it. Therefore, it needs fun way to learn it. Somehow, not all the teachers can understand how to teach fraction in a fun way. Therefore, training about using domino card games to teach fraction for Mathematics teacher at junior high school was held in SMPN 1 Martapura. There were 46 teachers joined the event. The lecturer in Mathematics Education organized the training and the result is most of the teachers wanted to apply it in their class later. The aim of this community service is to encourage the junior high school teachers to use fun ways to teach mathematics rather than to use the conventional way to use LKS (worksheet book).

Abstract

Growth occurs simultaneously with development. In contrast to growth, development is the result of the interaction of the maturity of the central nervous system with the organs it influences, for example the development of the neuromuscular system, speech, emotions and socialization. The implementation of this activity was carried out at the Permata Playhouse in Kediri City. Activities are carried out in a day. Activities are carried out using weight scales, microstructure, and child development questionnaires. From the results, some children experience delays in growth and development. The importance of the role of parents and health workers in monitoring and preventing growth and development problems
