Abstract

Buah sawo manila (Achras zapota L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi sebagai obat alam. Beberapa literatur melaporkan bahwa buah ini digunakan sebagai obat penyakit demam tipoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: pengaruh cairan penyari yang digunakan pada proses ekstraksi buah sawo manila terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Salmonella typhimurium. Konsentrasi ekstrak yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri uji dan nilai Rf yang dapat memberikan efek antibakteri. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan metode maserasi bertingkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji skrining fitokimia menunjukkan; ekstrak n-heksan mengandung steroid dan fenolik; ekstrak etil-asetat mengandung steroid dan fenolik; ekstraketanol 70% mengandung triterpenoid, fenolik dan alkaloid. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi agar dan KLT Bioautografi. Pada metode difusi agar dengan konsentrasi 1% b/v, 5% b/v, dan 10% b/v diperoleh hasil; ekstrak n-heksan tidak terdapat zona hambat; ekstrak etil asetat 6,5 mm, 8,8 mm, dan 11,6 mm; ekstrak etanol 70% zona hambat terdapat pada konsentrasi 5% b/v dan 10% b/v yaitu 6,5 mm dan 8,4mm. Pada KLT Bioautografi tidak menunjukkan zona hambat.

Abstract

One of traditional medicine which can be used to treat ringworm and skin disorder caused by skin parasites is ketepeng cina. Ethyl acetate extracts ketepeng cina are known to have antifungal activity against Candida albicans This research was aimed to determine effect of the concentration of emulsifier on the stability of the cream. The research using 3 variations the concentration of emulsifier that is 1%, 3% and 5%. Before formulating extracts tested antifungal activity against Candida albicans with concentration of 2.5%, 5% and 10%. Cream then tested the physical properties and antifungal activity against Candida albicans. The test results the activity extract with a concentration of 10% have a diameter that is the most excellent inhibitory 7.88 mm. Evaluation of cream shows that variation of emulsifier does not give effect to the change in the organoleptic (color and odor), emulsion type, adhesive power, dispersive power, viscosity and drops dispersed. But, affect the measurement of volume kriming in Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 4. cream activity test results showed that the cream with extract ketepeng cina that is formula 4, formula 5 and formula 6 has a diameter of inhibition respectively 9.01 mm, 9.81 mm and 10.11 mm.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai formulasi dan evaluasi gel niosom ekstrak etanol kayu secang (Caesalpinia sappan L.), dengan menggunakan variasi gelling agent telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gel niosom dengan kestabilan fisik yang paling baik dan mampu berpenetrasi setelah niosom dimasukkan dalam berbagai variasi gelling agent. Kayu secang diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70%, kemudian diukur kadar fenolik totalnya. Ekstrak yang telah diukur fenoliknya diformulasikan dalam niosom menggunakan span 60 dan kolesterol dan dilakukan evaluasi niosom berupa SEM, PSA dan Efisiensi penjerapan. Niosom ekstrak etanol kayu secang disuspensikan dalam basis gel. Formula gel dibuat menggunakan niosom, propilenglikol, metil paraben, pengaroma, air suling dan variasi gelling agent Hydroxy ethyl cellulose 3% (F1), natrium alginat 5% dan CaCl2 ,02% (F2) dan carbopol : TEA 1% : 1% (F3). Evaluasi dilakukan pada sediaan gel niosom yang diperoleh, meliputi evaluasi kestabilan fisik sebelum dan sesudah climatic chamber selama 10 siklus meliputi organoleptik, pH, homogenitas, daya sebar, viskositas serta uji penetrasi secara in vitro menggunakan metode sel difusi franz dengan membran lepasan kulit ular tiger normal. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan niosom ekstrak etanol kayu secang dapat dibuat gel niosom, ketiga formula memiliki karakteristik fisik yang baik sedangkan berdasarkan perhitungan persen penetrasi formula F2 yang mengandung Na. Alginat 5% menunjukan difusi tertinggi yaitu 54,86% selama 6 jam dibandingkan F2 dan F3 dengan persen difusi masing-masing 51,01% dan 26,41%

Abstract

Collagen is a type of protein that is contained in the body of an animal with a proportion of about 30 % of the total protein in the body as a whole . Skin and bones of fish can be used as an alternative source of collagen to replace the collagen from animals such as cattle. Concerning the issue about Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy ( BSE ) disease, the swine flu as well as halal standard product. The main objective of this study was to isolate collagen and determine the amount of collagen derived from skin and bones skipjack tuna fish. Skipjack tuna fish skin and bones extracted by immersion using 0.5 M acetic acid solution to obtain a filtrate futhermore precipitated and dried with a spray dryer to obtain a dry collagen . The results showed that the collagen can be isolated from skipjack tuna with a percentage value amounted to ranging from 14.48% collagen of skin and 16.71 % collagen of skipjack tuna

Abstract

The flow properties of the active substance and additives is very important to be known for the manufacture of a good tablet . Fluid powder or starch good for felted very important to ensure homogeneous mixing and uniformity of weight are acceptable for tablets felts . The purpose of this study was to determine whether the evaluation of the characteristics of the flow properties of the starch taro safira in accordance with the parameters of good flow properties . The evaluation includes an evaluation of the results obtained water content 7.20% , 4.72 starch pH test , the test angle of repose 21.433 , 1.19 moisture content test , test flow rate of 2,242 g / sec , the real gravity of 97.1131 g / mL , the specific gravity of the incompressible 97.787 g / mL , kompersibilitas 0.629 % , 97.1131 % porosity and surface shape inspection of the starch granules using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope ).

Abstract

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. is a plant suspected to have affect the motility of sperms. This research aims to know the effect of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. in motility of sperms as well as to get information about the dose of ethanol extract of this plant having activity in motility of sperms male mice. The animals were divided into 4 groups according to the dose administered to each group i.e 10 mg/20 g mice, 25 mg/20 g mice, 50 mg/20 g mice and control, respectively. The treatments were conducted for 10 days where each treatment group had 3 replication. The animals were then dissected and cement fluid located in vas deferens was collected. The motility of sperms was observed under microscope. Based on the results analyzed by statistical analysis showed that ethanol extract of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. to have affect the motility of sperms at dose 50 mg/20 g mice and gives significantly different result compared to negative control.

Abstract

Ekstrak etanol daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam.) telah dilaporkan memiliki potensi untuk merangsang respon imun. Sistem imun dirancang untuk mempertahankan tubuh dari benda asing. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas sediaan suspensi daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam.) terhadap aktivitas fagositosis pada mencit jantan (Mus musculus) dengan menggunakan metode carbon clearance. Jumlah hewan coba yang digunakan sembilan ekor dan dibagi secara acak menjadi 3 kelompok, masing-masing kelompok 3 ekor. Kelompok I kontrol negatif yang diberikan aquadest, kelompok II kontrol positif diberikan sirup Stimuno® dan kelompok III diberikan suspensi daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam.) dengan dosis 250 mg/kg BB yang diberikan melaui oral selama 10 hari berturut-turut. Setelah 48 jam dari dosis terakhir, mencit diinjeksikan dengan tinta cina sebanyak 0,05 ml/ekor sebagai benda asing melalui vena ekor. Hasil nilai indeks fagositosis tertinggi adalah pada kelompok suspensi kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam.) yaitu 0,027, sementara kontrol positif 0,021 dan kontrol negatif 0,011. Berdasarkan analisis statistik menggunakan ANAVA satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata LSD, menunjukkan efek yang tidak signifikan antara ketiga kelompok.

Abstract

Healthcare and Sosial Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) is a law agency set up to organize the health insurance program operates since 1 January 2014. Health center as the first-level health care provide BPJS Kesehatan service in JKN/BPJS system has a major task in public health services. This study aimed to determine the amount of drugs availability in Busalangga health center to enforce 144 BPJS diagnosis. The LPLPO parameter was used to see the availability of drugs base on National Formulary (FORNAS) 2014 as standard reference. The result showed that drugs availability in Busalangga health center was 31,96 %. Which is compared with National Formulary there 68,04 % of drugs were not yet available to enforce BPJS 144 diagnosis. Based on these result, it can be concluded that drugs availability in Busalangga health center does not meet the standard in National Formulary 2014. Research suggest that the planning and procurement of drugs at Busalangga health center should refer to National Formulary as standard reference of treatment in 144 basic diagnosis enforcement independently and completely at the Busalangga health center.

Abstract

A research about formulation and stability evaluation of cocoa fruit peel extract in toothpaste as antibacterial by Streptococcus mutans had been done. The research was aimed to obtain formula of toothpaste which has good physical characteristic and active antibacterial. The extract was be found, made with remaseration of extraction of cocoa fruit peel with menstrume fluid ethanol 70%. The results of quantity analysis of polyphenol within the extract of ethanol 2.25%. The toothpaste made with active compound extract of cocoa fruit peel and gelling agent Na-CMC with variation of concentration 0.5%, 1% and 1.5%. The evaluation formula shows before and after stressed condition storage alternately organoleptic, homogeny, viscosity, pH value measurement and test antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans. The results of the study show that before storage Formula H1 and H3 do not quality in reologi of toothpaste, while Formula H2 has good reologi before and after storage. Therefore, the only Formula H2 could be continued into further evaluation. The average pH value also does not change and it has shown 7.68. The results of inhibition zone diameter average are 16.63 mm. The conclusion of research appeal that the cocoa fruit peel extract from three of them that has shown good characteristic was Formula H2 with inhibition zone to bacterial Streptococcus mutans 16.63 mm include in category high activities antibacterial.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang formulasi dan evaluasi mikrokapsul ekstrak cacing tanah Lumbricus rubellus dengan metode emulsifikasi ganda penguapan pelarut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh mikrokapsul ekstrak cacing tanah dengan karakteristik fisik yang baik dan menutupi bau khas cacing tanah. Pada penelitian ini dibuat tiga formula mikrokapsul yang mengandung rasio zat aktif : polimer (1:1). Mikrokapsul dibuat menggunakan beberapa variasi polimer yakni: Eudragit® RS (F1), Eudragit® RL (F2), dan kombinasi Eudragit® RS dan Eudragit® RL (F3). Evaluasi mikrokapsul meliputi: morfologi, distribusi ukuran partikel mikrokapsul menggunakan Scanning Electrone Microscope (SEM), dan evaluasi kadar protein serta efisiensi penjerapan. Hasil evaluasi karakteristik morfologi memperlihatkan bahwa mikrokapsul berbentuk spheris untuk semua formula dengan diameter rata-rata 14,3 µm (F1); 3,4 µm (F2); 3 µm (F3). Kadar protein masing-masing formula ialah 8,825±0,2 %b/b (F1), 11,658±0,4 %b/b (F2), 11,038±0,04 %b/b (F3) dengan efisiensi penjerapan 25,532% (F1); 47,105% (F2) dan 29,556% (F3). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa mikrokapsul yang memiliki karakteristik fisik terbaik adalah mikrokapsul F2 yang menggunakan Eudragit® RL sebagai polimer penyalut
