Abstract

Honest character is one of the characters that needs to be introduced to children from an early age. Honest character can accustom children to act as they are and not lie. To instill the character value of honesty in early childhood can be through a good example or model. The model itself can be a film or an individual who can provide a positive example for children. The animated film Hafiz and Hafizah is one of the films that presents positive content about good behavior for early. Such honest behavior. So indirectly children can get to know honest characters through an animated film. The purpose of this research is to describe and find out the results of honest character analysis in the animated film Hafiz and Hafizah. This study uses a qualitative approach, with qualitative descriptive research methods through content analysis techniques for the animated films Hafiz and Hafizah by observing and recording through showing episodes from 2020 to 2022. There are five episodes from the animated films Hafiz and Hafizah, namely 1) trusting a wallet, 2) greed becomes a problem, 3) Hafiz's smart pen is missing, 4) the bazzar for goodness, and 5) an Islamic children's song, let's tell the truth. The results of research on honest character analysis in the animated film Hafiz and Hafizah contain honest characters that are suitable for early childhood such as be and tell the truth, admit mistakes and apologize for mistakes that have been made.

Abstract

Speaking is one of language skills that exist in early childhood, speaking is an activity to clearly express an idea, the purpose or feeling so another individual could understand what is meant and can be stimulated for early childhood in everyday activites. Speak ability is a skills that can be carried out by an individual to be able finished a job properly and this ability is acquired since birth and can be honed further through stimulation from family or people around children so can develops and produces with maximum results. YouTube is application that we used through accessed an Internet, the user could send or display videos and animations with various video so people can enjoy it. The research was conducted in Uwung Jaya Village, Tangerang, Banten. The research used a quantitative method, Expost factor, and purposive sampling where the subjects were parents who had 4- to 5-year-old children that watched YouTube. The samples taken were 30 parents. The data collection technique used questionnaires, and the data analysis used normality test, linearity test, simple linear regression test, and t-test. The analysis shows a data yield of 0,657 with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted; therefore, the result indicates there is an influence by YouTube for children's speaking abilities aged 4 to 5 years old by 43,2 % or 0,432.

Abstract

Technology that is currently developing has an influence on aggressive behavior in children, so there needs to be prevention efforts in this deviant behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of gadgets and the factors that cause aggressive behavior, forms of aggressive behavior, the impact of aggressive behavior, and efforts to handle aggressive behavior in early childhood. The method used in this research is a case study which is presented with a qualitative descriptive research type by presenting the data in a narrative manner, as well as data obtained through observation. In this study, the subject is one girl who behaves aggressively aged 5-6 years because of the influence of unlimited gadgets. The results of the research obtained are the influence of the use of gadgets that are not restricted and supervised. This causes aggressive behavior in children who find it difficult to control their desire to convey messages, such as shouting, crying, and making physical contact when someone interferes with playing gadgets. The influence of gadgets on aggressive behavior in children requires serious efforts for parents or adults who are around children so that they do not have a negative impact on children's development in the future.

Abstract

The phenomenon of sexual deviation is starting to be found around us. Therefore the need for prevention and protection of early childhood. One of them starts by providing sex education guidance to children. But there are still many parents who underestimate the importance of sex education being taught from an early age. The purpose of providing sex education is to provide adequate understanding of the process of physical, mental, and emotional maturity and reduce fear and anxiety related to sexual adjustment and development. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The resulting data analysis is in the form of primary data from a book entitled "Sexuality Education for Children" by Veronika Kusuma, S. Kep., and secondary data from analysis of various journals and supporting documents related to sexual education and the prevention of sexual abuse. The author's reason for taking this book as the basis for primary data is that this book combines three basic sciences at once, namely religion, parenting, and health. Which will be discussed in the discussion in this article. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the importance of introducing sex education is very influential in growing children's characters for the better.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using number card media on the initial numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years at Nur Ikhsan Kindergarten, Fajar Baru Village, Jati Agung, South Lampung. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The instruments used are observation and documentation sheets. The statistical analysis used was the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Of the 26 children who were studied in learning activities before using number card media, 0% were children in the high category and 42.30% were in the medium category, the remaining 57.7% were in the low category. Whereas in learning activities after using number card media, 42.30% of children were in the high category and 57.7% were in the medium category, the remaining 0% were in the low category. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive effect on the use of number card media on the initial numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years, with an Asymp.Sign value of 0.000 <0.05. The significance value is less than 0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. It is hoped that using media that is carried out routinely can improve the ability to recognize children's initial numeracy for the next.

Abstract

Gender differences have an impact on the behavior displayed. Understanding these differences will provide a real understanding of differences in children's behavior based on gender, including children's social and emotional behavior. The research aims to see how children's social and emotional skills are based on the child's gender. The method used is a comparative study that looks at differences in social skills and emotional skills of early childhood based on gender. Data collection used instruments to measure children's social and emotional skills to 45 boys and 32 girls in seven early childhood education units in North Sumatra. Data were analyzed through t-test. The results showed that the average social skills of boys were 28.36 and 29.88 for girls' social skills, and the average emotional skills of boys were 22.18 and 23.56 for girls' emotional skills. This means that descriptively the emotional skills of girls are higher than the emotional skills of boys. The results of the study are clear that girls have higher social skills and emotional skills than boys. This is because girls have emotional expressions that are more neutral, calm and peaceful.

Abstract

One of the problems that parents and teachers often complain about is aggressive behavior in kindergarten students because this aggressive behavior is a problem that often occurs in children and is always there in every school year. Several studies have shown that since childhood the handling and prevention of aggressive behavior must be done. This is done in order to prevent disruptive behavior that may arise in the future and have long-term effects so that it can cause negative effects on children and continue until they are adults. One effort that can be done to reduce aggressive behavior is to develop prosocial behavior. Aggressive individuals are taught to behave in non-aggressive ways. This approach is felt to be more effective in reducing aggression by using the principle of behavior modification learning that focuses on strengthening non-aggressive behavior. Prosocial behavior developed using role playing methods with prosocial themes. The development of this prosocial behavior involved 12 kindergarten students in Yogyakarta. Prosocial behavior is taught using several indicators of prosocial behavior such as helping, sharing, entertaining and collaborating. The Time-series Group Nonequivalent No-Treatment Control Group quasi-experimental design is the design used in this study. Based on the results of this research data analysis it is proven that the aggressive behavior of students in Kinder garten can be reduced through prosocial role playing significantly in the experimental group when compared to the aggressive behavior group in the control group (z=-2.169; p<0.05).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of stimulating early childhood artistic development in Banca Patola Kindergarten, Baubau City. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data is collected by observing, interviewing, and documenting. Data were analyzed by reducing, displaying and verifying. The results showed that the process of stimulating children's artistic development was carried out with activities such as: (1) humming or singing while doing something; (2) be creative with beads, origami paper and natural materials; (3) sanitary activities such as mixing colors, finger painting; (4) drawing in various ways and forms; (5) coloring activities. In addition, several stimulations that can be applied to increase the achievement of artistic development aspects in Banca Patola Kindergarten, namely: (1) the teacher's role is to provide support and facilities for children to listen to the songs they like; (2) the teacher always gives appreciation in the form of praise; (3) the teacher facilitates activities that stimulate children's art; (4) the teacher gives rewards to children for their achievements in activities.
