Abstract

The implementation of Presidential Decree number 8 year 2012 about Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) and Act number 14 year 2005 aboutteacher and lecturer, requires reorganization and qualification development of thehigher education institution which run a program for education and administratif stafeducation (LPTK) as well as all instruments within it. Course changing as an academiceffort in the education institution should be designed sistematically by considering theconstitution as well as to accomdate the needs. This research is a qualitatif research usingcareful tracing toward various documents related to the transformation of the courseIntegrative Teaching Experience and Community Service (PPL KKN) into InternshipII in the Faculty of Tarbiyah and education, as well as interview, documentation, andobservation to the transformation process. Researcher used triangulation technique tocheck the data validity. The research shows that the transformation of course IntegrativeTeaching Experience and Community Service (PPL-KKN) into PLP II covers the visionand mision, aim, advantage, outline changes, organiser, implementation mechanism,and evaluation.

Abstract

This research aims to know the management of curriculum at an Islamic boarding school, that is madrasa based.  This research focuses on the factors that restricting and supporting in developing the curriculum of pesantren, as well as on its problem solving. Using qualitative approach, this research gathered the data through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the management of curriculum development designed by PP. Muntasyirul Ulum MAN 3 Sleman, Yogyakarta include planning, organizing, implementing and evaluation. Curriculum development strategies were carried out by carrying out these steps: 1) Bench marking, 2) scientific visit, 3) trial and error program, 4) establishment of curriculum commission, 5) review process, open criticism and suggestions, and 6) evaluation during the end of the semester.

Abstract

This study is set forth from the existence of pesantren as the oldest educational institution in Indonesia which plays a central role within the socio-cultural environment construction of Indonesian society. In order to exist, today, the pesantren should be able to develop its intitution yet still maintaining its originality as the characteritics of the pesantren itself. The development strategy could be initiated through self-sustaining efforts which in fact bring a positive impact for pesantren. On the other hand, financial problems often threatens the existence of pesantren. The purpose of this research is to investigate the condition of boarding school Ar-Risalah Cijantung IV and economic initiatives developed by the boarding school. This research is a case study by employing qualitative approach. Data collecting techiques are done by interviews, observation and document study. The study found that economic initiatives that is conducted by the pesantren are livestock breeding, fishery, mining, agriculture and waste processing. Those initiatives have a positive impact on pesantren because they serve as other funding sources to support pesantren development without fully depend on government support. Those businesses also brought a positive impact for the community in the surrounding pesantren. Keywords: Independence, Pesantren

Abstract

Keberhasilan suatu usaha sangat erat kaitannya dengan kualitas orang yang melakukan usaha tersebut. Begitupula keberhasilan sekolah/madrasah juga ditentukan oleh para pengelolanya. Apabila para pengelola sekolah/madrasah berkualitas maka lembaga tersebut akan mengalami kemajuan dan memiliki mutu yang baik begitupula jika sebaliknya. Oleh karena itu artikel ini mendiskripsikan manajemen peningkatan mutu ketenagaan dan sumber daya manusia yang mana dalam hal ini man pamekasan dijadikan sebagai objek penelitian. Hal yang menjadi fokus kajiannya adalah perencanaan, pengadaan pegawai, pembinaan dan pengembangan, promosi, mutasi, dan pemberhentian pegawai, serta penilaian dan kompensasi pegawai di man pamekasan. Melalui observasi wawancara dan dokumentasi diperoleh hasil bahwa man pamekasan malakukan manajemen ketenagaan dan sumber daya manusia dengan baik minimal memenuhi standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah.

Abstract

Manajemen Pondok Pesantren dengan keanekaragamannya termasuk lembaga atau organisasi pendidikan yang unik. Antara lain karena di pondok pesantren terdapat figur kyai yang memiliki peranan dan kewenangan yang luar biasa, hingga dalam perspektif ilmu manajemen seringkali terjadi kontradiktif atau tidak sesuai dengan kode etiknya. Misal, terkait dengan  pelimpahan tugas dan wewenang, jenjang kekuasaan, masalah intervensi, dan lain-lain. Meski demikian, terdapat pula pondok-pondok pesantren yang menerapkan manajemen modern dengan bagus. Pondok Modern Gontor Ponorogo dan Az-Zaitun, kiranya dapat dimasukkan dalam kategori ini. Dengan penerapan tata kelola modern sesuai dengan ilmunya, ternyata dua pondok pesantren itu telah mengalami kemajuan yang sangat pesat (lepas dari sikap setuju atau tidak terhadap isi pendidikan masing-masing). Tetapi tidak dapat diingkari, kebanyakan pondok pesantren di negeri ini belum menerapkan manajemen modern sesuai dengan ilmunya yang lazim.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of the administration service quality toward students’ satisfaction in Islamic Junior High School 1 Model Palembang. This research includes the total population of 283 students of grade VIII. Therefore, based on Slovin formula, there are 74 students involved as the research samples. The data is analysed using quantitative method namely doubled linear regression. Meanwhile, the testing stages include classical assumption (Multicolinearity, heteroskedatisidas, and normality testing). In classical assumption test, multicolinearity free regression model appears while heteroskedatisidas does not occur. It is mormally distributed. Therefore, based on the classical assumption, the doubled linear regression can be utilized in this research. The result shows that the regression is Y = 9.961 + (-0.065) X1+ 0.152 X2 + 0.074 X3+ 0.459 X4 + 0.000 X5, and Fcount = 4,283 sig 0,002 < 0,05. Therefore it can be understood that the quality of the administration service which includes physical evidence, assurance, emphaty, excellence, and responsiveness clearly influences students’ satisfaction in which the emphaty (X4) serves as the highest contributing factors with t count= 0,410 sig 0,00 < 0,05.

Abstract

This article is aimed at describing the competition as well as the development strategy of the Islamic Kindergarten “Al-Irsyad” as one of competitive Islamic early childhoodeducation institution in Purwokerto. The purpose is to find the pattern of the developmentstrategy of the competitive Islamic early childhood education institution. This sort ofinstitution is expected to be able to compete in achieving righteousness in line with Islamicteachings dedicated to the community. This can be done if the Islamic early childhoodeducation institutions promote competitive excellent service. Furthermore, the rationalelies behind the idea of competitive Islamic early childhood education institutions is togenerate competitive advantage within Islamic early education institutions, to improvecommunity’s loyalty as served customer, to create Islamic early childhood institutionswhich are able to outweigh their competitors while at the same time upholding ethics,as well as Islamic virtues.

Abstract

This article is a qualitative research that aims to describe the implementation of environmentally sound school management in MAN 1 Samarinda. This school began to focus on becoming a school adiwiyata in 2015 and managed to achieve the achievement as a provincial school adiwiyata in 2017. Implementation of this adiwiyata program as a manifestation of the vision of MAN 1 Samarinda, which is MAN 1 Samarinda as a religious-based school is to realize the human resources has aqidah islam and morality, smart, independent, competitive, able to build partnership and concern for environmental sustainability. The Adiwiyata school program at MAN 1 Samarinda was designed by the Adiwiyata MAN 1 Samarinda program team which includes 4 components, ie environmentally sound policies, environmental-based curriculum implementation, participatory based activities and environmentally friendly use of facilities. Supporting factors in the implementation of the adiwiyata program in MAN 1 Samrinda, which is good cooperation of all components of the school community, environmentally friendly facilities and infrastructure and support from outside parties, one of them Environment Agency (DLH). While the inhibiting factor in the implementation of the adiwiyata program is the cost or budget and students’ awarenees of the environment. Keywords: Adiwiyata School Management

Abstract

Change ability of a school is determined by the extent to which the school’s member have power in carrying and managing change. The changes may occur within the school environment or outside the school that influence the  changes toward the school itself. The shifts that occur within the school may not necessarily  alter the school thoroughly, but usually preceded by a process of cultural transformation. The success of school’s cultural shifts depends on the change management applied. Therefore, any changes that happen requires a change management so that the alteration at the school is the result of  school’s community values and directed from the community itself,  so  the impact would lead to a positive change. Abstract

This study tries to reveal on how The Qur’an Surah al-'Asr could be interpreted to describe the principles of behaviors required in managing organizations without corruption, what causes failure in organizing process, and an alternative solution for managing the organization to avoid corruption. This is a library research with the primary source taken from the Qur’an Surah Al-Ashr: 1-3, the secondary sources were taken from other verses that is related in the Qur'an, related hadith of the Prophet Muhammad and the books of tafsir, while the tertiary sources are taken from books or writings that have relevance to the problem of research. This qualitative research uses Tahlili interpretation approach with inductive and interpretative method. The results of this study shows that the success of an organization without corruption built on three principles of behaviors, they are to build a work ethic commitment to organize effectively and efficiently based on faith, to run the organization professionally, open to accept and provide truth-based criticism and patience. On the other hand, the cause of the failure to organize is not carrying out their obligations, unfairness that resulting in cheating, corruption and dishonest/hypocritical.
