Abstract

The main problem of this research is the lack of understanding of students about writing ad text, so that a learning model that is able to overcome this problem is needed, one of which is the VAK model. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of junior high school students regarding ad text material using the VAK (Kinesthetic Visual Audio) model. One group pretest-posting desing was used as a research method. Class VIII research subjects totaling 33 students, the results of the study concluded that students could understand ad text with the VAK (Visual Audio Kinesthetic) model. The conclusion is seen in the results of the student test, on the first test with an average of 66.96% experiencing an increase in the final test because it had received treatment to be 99.03%.

Abstract

Language makes the conditions used by humans to think in communication activities, one of them is speech. The research here aims to determine the influence of mother tongue on the use of Indonesian in a persuasive speech at SMP Negeri 2 Batujajar. The reason the researchers made this title is because currently the function of the Indonesian language is not considered important for some students. The research method used is a qualitative method, with an investigative approach because researchers usually collect data. The use of Indonesian in the persuasive speeches of students at Batujajar Public Middle School 2 was apparently colored by the influence of mother tongue or everyday language. From the results of the research, 30 people who were persuasive in their speech turned out that there were 10 people giving speeches using mother tongue and there were 20 people who used Indonesian. It can be stressed that students who have persuasive speech using mother tongue are 33.4% and those who use Indonesian are 66.6%. The use of mother tongue that occurs is caused by several factors, namely factors from the family environment, the playing environment, and the environment in the school so that students are more accustomed to using mother tongue than using Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the writing ability of class XI students in learning to write text procedures by applying the Guide Note Taking method. Based on the observations of researchers during the research in class XI, students encounter difficulties in writing procedure texts. In learning writing skills, teachers should use many variations of teaching. One method that can be used as a learning variation is Guide Note Taking. This study uses quasi-experimental research methods, namely quasi-experimental research methods that aim to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The data source for the XI grade students in even semester 2018/2019 uses the initial test question sheet, and the final test question sheet. Based on the results of the study of data processing the ability to write text procedures before using the Guide Note Taking method, the initial test (pretest) value of 55.49 after using the Guide Note Taking method obtained the final test score (posttest) of 75.29 . The results of writing ability increased by 19.80. So the hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the application of the Guide Note Taking method to learning procedure text writing has been able to improve the results of student learning.

Abstract

Learning with interest in writing texts is basically for all people still lacking, especially among students and students who are not people who are in the field of education. This is because people who are less aware of the benefits of writing. Besides that, there are also quite a lot of obstacles that exist when you want to write, especially in writing a text. Barriers that are usually in the form of laziness and no sense of motivation want to write. The formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) What is a reward in education? 2) What is the effect of giving rewards? This study aims to determine the effect of giving rewards to students' interest in writing texts at SMP. The reward is an award that is proud of all students. Researchers give prizes to encourage students to be more interested in writing. So, with the award given by the teacher, it is expected to be able to make students motivated in learning activities. The approach used during this research is qualitative research. The data collection techniques that will be discussed are questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that students' interest in writing increases. It is seen from the results of the data that show that giving rewards is very influential on student motivation.

Abstract

This research is conducted due to the problems found in research field. The problems found in this research are the existence of code-mixing used by the 11th grade students of SMKN 1 Cimahi when they were asked to retell a short story. Code-mixing happens when language speakers mix traditional language with Indonesian language at once. In other words, a person who speaks in main Indonesian language has the autonomous function. While the traditional language, is only an auxiliary tool that has no autonomous function. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research. Observation and questionnaire are implemented as the instruments of this research. The population of this research is all of 11th- grade-student of SMKN 1 Cimahi and the sample contains 25 students of 11 IOP A class. The questionnaire was conducted to 25 students, but the observation was only conducted to 5 students. This research found that students often use traditional language when they speak in Indonesian language. Unconsciously, students frequently use kecap penganteb when they speaking.

Abstract

This research is based on research on curiosity towards the use of think writing method in biographical text learning in class X. The formulation of the method can be used to talk about it. in learning biographical texts? Method for learning on biographical texts on class X students from SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi. The method used is the experimental method. This study uses the design of one group pretest-posttest. The research data is quantitative data that is analyzed through statistical analysis techniques. Class X TEI-B with a total of 27 students being used as research samples. The results of the initial test and the final test were compared with the average initial test 38 and the average final test 75. So, it can be concluded that the Think Talk Write method is effectively used in learning to write biographical texts.

Abstract

This research was in the background because of the lack of students in literacy so that researchers sought to improve the creativity of students in writing news texts. The implementation of news text learning teaches students to understand the news text, so that researchers apply the intellectually repetition (AIR) auditory learning model so that students can listen, understand, and rewrite the learning news text that has been understood. The researcher used an experimental method with a design (one group pre-post-test) and collected data with a technique in the form of a pre-test and post-test final test. The sample used was class VIII students with the number 30. The results of the tests that were carried out obtained differences and enhancements, namely in the pre-test the average value obtained was 61.5% while the post-test that had been given treated using the learning model (AIR) obtained the value is 79.33% and the difference between the pretest and post-test is 17.83%. So this learning of the intellectually repetition (AIR) auditory model can be applied by learning to write news texts and the results obtained in the post-test scores get a significant increase of 17.83%.

Abstract

Successful learning is carefully arranged to learn. Learning with media can be a way for teachers so students can enjoy learning. Successful learning is fun learning that can make the student feel comfortable and have no pressure. Therefore it is very important for teachers to create student learning that is comfortable and active without pressure. The purpose of conducting this research is to provide an overview of how the responses given by students during the learning process are interactive. This type of research is the implementation of research development using interactive learning methods and the results by distributing questionnaires and observations. The results of the research in this article show that students are more active in working in learning and able to communicate well. Then students also provide responses and opinions about the application of interactive learning which according to students is more interesting. Therefore the research in this article can be said that the media of interactive learning are feasible to be used in the process of learning Indonesia both in the classroom and in learning independently to improve understanding and quality and provision of students learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of enthusiasm of students when learning Indonesian in the afternoon, resulting in a large number of activities carried out by students outside of learning. This scientific article has the intention to see the effect of time allocation on students' interest in learning Indonesian learning in class X of SMK Informatics Fithrah Insani. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The research technique uses open and closed questionnaire techniques and observation by observing objects directly. All students of SMK Informatika Fithrah Insani were chosen as the population. Class X as many as 46 students were taken into the study sample. The researcher proposed a problem statement as follows 1) whether there was an effect of time allocation on students' learning interest in learning Indonesian. The results of the research prove that the allocation of time for Indonesian language learning given at the last hour influences students' interest in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

Fiction in literary works in the form of essays or experiences that can be devoted to an article using interesting language, not standardized. Poetry, one of the forms of fiction, contains implicit meaning. Poetry can motivate writing lovers, especially readers who are interested in knowing the meaning of the implicit meaning of a poem through analysis. Based on the previous explanation, the author was interested in conducting a study, namely analyzing the poem by Heri Isnaini entitled "Stamps" using the semiotic approach. This study aims to (1) analyze the poem semiotically, (2) describe the results of poetry analysis entitled "Stamps" ( 3) describe the main issues on the theme of the poem. The method of description is the method used in this study, namely telling or describing the contents of the poem analyzed. Stamp poetry is analyzed and discussed semiotically to find out about the meaning and signs of the language so that the hidden meaning of the poem can be clearly revealed. The results show that the poem means something textually, stamps that are likened to humans. Therefore, the image of the stamp can be likened to a pair of figures that are likened to a stamp, where the stamp remains loyal to the worn envelope and has even turned yellow. Yellowing in the poem can be described by someone who is no longer worthy an old and unattractive figure.
