Abstract

In the teaching and learning process there is a strong interrelationship of teachers, students, curiculum, equipment and infrastructure. The teacher is to select models and media which are appropriate to the learning material and hopefully this will stimulate students interest in learning. This study of modular quantum teaching is an experimental research as an alternative to overcome teachersproblems in achieveing the learning objectives, especially in the learning of social science in elementary schools. Study was done in the Elementary Schools 06 of Cendono Kudus in 2010. The samples were taken through a cluster sampling technique and assigned into an experimental group and a control group. The data of activeness and process skills were taken through observation and achievement test. The obtained data were descriptively presented and analyzed through variant analysis. The study showed that the learning activeness of modular quantum teaching group was categorized as learning active. Meanwhile the process skills and learning activeness of expository group were categorized as skilful. Based on the test of influence, process skills, motivation and students activeness of modular quantum teaching group had 4.9% of influence and other factors had 95.1% of influence. The t-test showed different learning achievement of the two groups. The mean score of experimental group was higher than that of control group.

Abstract

School accreditation from the government is an evaluation that must be passed by every unit of education in Indonesia based on the standards set by the Badan Akreditasi Nasional/Madrasah. School accreditation is not just a requirement that must be met just for formality, but it is an effort to improve school quality. However, the large number of administrative documents that must be completed by schools for accreditation plus the number of teachers’ workloads resulted in teachers viewing school accreditation as an additional work burden. The purpose of this research is to analyze teacher's perception and commitment to the accreditation of XYZ School in Depok, West Java as well as obstacles experienced during accreditation. This is the focus of research because teachers' perceptions and commitments are keys to realize a smooth accreditation process with satisfactory results. This research use qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was done by interview method to two school principals and 12 teachers of XYZ School, supported by questionnaire. The results showed that teachers' perceptions of school accreditation is fairly good, but commitment to accreditation were moderate. The constraints experienced by teachers in accreditation were also considered moderate. Akreditasi sekolah dari pemerintah merupakan evaluasi yang harus dilalui tiap satuan pendidikan di Indonesia berdasarkan standar yang ditetapkan oleh Badan Akreditasi Nasional Sekolah/Madrasah. Akreditasi sekolah ini bukanlah sekedar persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi tanpa tujuan, tetapi merupakan suatu upaya meningkatkan kualitas sekolah. Di sisi lain, banyaknya dokumen administratif yang harus dilengkapi sekolah untuk akreditasi ditambah banyaknya load kerja guru mengakibatkan guru memandang akreditasi sekolah hanya sebagai beban pekerjaan tambahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis persepsi dan komitmen guru, terhadap akreditasi Sekolah XYZ di Depok, Jawa Barat beserta kendala yang dialami selama akreditasi. Hal ini menjadi fokus penelitian dikarenakan persepsi dan komitmen guru menjadi kunci yang sangat penting bagi pihak Sekolah XYZ untuk mewujudkan proses akreditasi yang lancar dengan hasil yang memuaskan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara kepada 2 orang kepala sekolah dan 12 orang guru Sekolah XYZ yang didukung dengan kuesioner. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru terhadap akreditasi sekolah termasuk cukup baik, tetapi dan komitmen guru tergolong sedang. Sedangkan kendala yang dialami guru dalam akreditasi juga dinilai sedang.

Abstract

The master program of Basic Education at Open University (UT) begins to admit students in 2015. In one year period the number of students has increased significantly to 497 students, located at 12 UT Regional Offices. The purpose of this correlational study is to analyze the relationship between students learning service expectations offered in 2 semesters with the level of student satisfaction regarding the aspects of administrative and academic services. The respondent is73 students from 8 Regional Offices. The result showed that 59.1% of the respondents perceive general service as very important, and only 47,2% satisfied with the general service. There is a positive and significant correlation between expectation or perception of importance of general service and satisfaction (r = 0,559 **; Sig = 0,00). Data on specific aspects of service, such as tutorial, assessment, et cetera, is provided. Students also indicates some hindrances, such as: difficulties in accessing the internet for online tutorials in remote ateas, friendliness and speed of information provided by UT staff, tutor’s response discussions and late access opening. Magister Pendidikan Dasar (MPDr) Universitas Terbuka (UT) mulai menerima mahasiswa pada masa registrasi 2015.1 dan data pada 2016.1. Pada tahun 2017 jumlah mahasiswa registrasi 497 orang tersebar di 12 UPBJJ-UT. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur hubungan antara harapan terhadap layanan pembelajaran dan kepuasan mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 73 mahasiswa dari 8 UPBJJ. Yang diperoleh dari pengambilan langsung, email, dan tutorial online. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat korelasional untuk menganalisis hubungan antara harapan layanan pembelajaran yang ditawarkan pada semester 1 dan 2 dengan tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa dari aspek pelayanan administrasi dan akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan harapan pada aspek layanan umum 59,1% sangat penting sekali dan tingkat kepuasan 47,2% dalam kategori puas. Terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara harapan dan kepuasan mahasiswa dalam aspek layanan akademik secara umum. Data tentang berbagai aspek spesifik layanan akademik juga dibahas Berbagai kendala yang dikemukakan mahasiswa mencaklup di anataranya: kesulitan akses jaringan internet utnuk tutorial online di daerah, keramahan dan kecepatan layanan layanan informasi dari staf UT, respon tutor terhadap diskusi tuton dan keterlamabtan pembukaan akses tuton, font bahan ajar yang dinilai terlalu kecil untuk siswa dewasa, kualitas soal ujian, dsb.

Abstract

This study aimed to identified the understanding of whole number concept among elementary school teacher taking distance course in Elementary Teacher Training Indonesia Open University as viewed from the quality of module, tutor performance, and learning motivation. Samples were 72 participants of tutorial program under Mathematics for Elementary School subject carried out in Pasir Jambu village Bandung Regency during 2012.1 registration period. Using questionaire, test concerning whole number concept, documentary study, observation and interview for data gathering. Results indicated that (i) module quality, tutor performance, and motivation contributed significantly toward whole number concept, the contribution number were 29,80%, 18,30% dan 29,80%, (ii)module quality and tutor performance contributed significantly to whole number concept (36,70%), (iii) tutor performance and motivation contributedsignificantly to whole number concept (38,70%), (iv) module quality, tutor performance and motivation contributed significantly to whole number concept (51,50%), and (v) the rest 48,50% was determined by unidentified variables. Recommends that tutorial administrator should maintain the quality of module and to enlarge student access upon learning material through media alternative, to improve tutor profesionalism, and to encourage motivation among studentconcerned. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pemahaman tentang konsep bilangan bulat kelompok guru SD peserta pendidikan guru jarak jauh ditinjau dari aspek kualitas modul, kinerja tutor dan motivasi belajar. Sampel adalah seorang tutor dan 72 mahasiswa peserta tutorial mata kuliah Pembelajaran Matematika SD di Kelompok Belajar Pasir Jambu Kabupaten Bandung masa registrasi 2012.1. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan menggunakan angket, tes pemahaman konsep bilangan bulat, studi dokumentasi, observasi dan tes untuk tutor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (i) kualitas modul, kinerja tutor dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep bilangan bulat, yaitu masing-masing sebesar 29,80%, 18,30% dan 29,80%, (ii) kualitas modul dan kinerja tutor secara bersama-sama berkontribusi signifikan (36,70%) terhadap pemahaman konsep bilangan bulat, (iii) kinerja tutor dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa secara bersama-sama berkontribusi secara signifikan (38,70%) terhadap pemahaman konsep bilangan bulat, (iv) kualitas modul, kinerja tutor dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa bersama-sama berkontribusi secara signifikan (51,50%) terhadap pemahaman konsep bilangan bulat, dan (v) sisanya 48,50% ditentukan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti. Disarankan hendaknya penyelenggara tutorial mempertahankan kualitas dan memperluas akses mahasiswa terhadap materi belajar, meningkatkan profesionalitas tutor, dan meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa peserta tutorial.

Abstract

Entreprenuerial learning in secondary vocational school aims to produce graduates to overcome the problem of unemployment. This study aimed to identify formation of attitudes and awareness of entrepreneurship towards vocational students after obtaining entrepreneurial training. The effect of entrepreneurial training is measured from the activities of teaching in class, mastery of entrepreneurship, atmosphere / climate of learning, the interest of students on entrepreneurship, and attitudes of students postining. Research with quantitative approach was carried out to 95 student of grade 3 SMK 1 Ternate with background in accounting, office administration marketing, tourism businesses and information technology. Data and information actual through questionnaire prepared in accordance with the variables to be measured. Results showed that a significant contribution of teaching entrepreneurship on the formation of entrepreneurial attitude. This means the higher the level of mastery learning and the better the quality of the learning entrepreneurship atmosphere the greather implications for the change of entrepreneurial attitude. It is recommended that managers SMK supports the effort to create entrepreneurial attitudes through increased teacher competence in the area of entrepreneurship, and empowerment of the role of principal as motivator entrepreneurial behavior in school.

Abstract

E-learning has been growing rapidly despite its pros and cons. Good e-learning is based on principles and pedagogy similar to other type of leaming. Align with the shift of educafional paradigm from teacher-centered to student-centered, sooner or later teachers should adapt themselves to the new roles. This article discusses teachers' roles and competencies related to e-learning.

Abstract

The purposes of the research are: 1. Describing the application of creative problem solving (CPS) approach on “gaya” concept study 2. Describing the improvement of students’ learning result on through the use of student worksheet (LKS) as well as the problem solving through brainstorming by divergent and convergent thinking process. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles. The previous research result, before applying this approach was only 12,25% (5 students) who passed the minimum competence criteria. After researcher applying CPS approach in science study on konsep gaya, in the first cycle the number of students who passed competence increase to 52,50% (21 students). It shows that there is an improvement from the earlier data. It increases 40,25. In the second cycle the number of students who passed the competence increase to 77,30% (31 students). It means that the improvement of the percentage is 47,25. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the application of CPS approach can effectively improve students’ achievement in SDN Kalibuntu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan Creative problem solving (CPS) pada pembelajaran konsep Gaya dikelas IV dengan jumlah 40 orang siswapada prembelajaran IPA di SDN Kalibuntu Kecamatan Baros Kabupaten Serang. (2) Mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep Gaya melalui penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) serta pemecahan masalah melalui brainstorming (urun pendapat) melalui proses berpikir divergen dan konvergen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang di dalamnya terdapat dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum menerapkan pembelajaran reflektif atau data awal siswa yang tuntas hanya 12,25% (5 orang). Setelah diterapkannya pendekatan creative problem solving (CPS) dalam pembelajaran IPA pada konsep gaya, pada siklus pertama siswa yang tuntas sebesar 52,50% (21 orang), sehingga ada peningkatan dari data awal dengan presentase sebesar 40,25%. Pada siklus kedua jumlah siswa yang tuntas dengan presentase sebesar 77,50% (31 orang), dan mengalami peningkatan dari siklus pertama sebesar 47,25%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan creative problem solving (CPS) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di SDN Kalibuntu, maka penelitian ini dapat dikatakan berhasil.

Abstract

This study aims to idenfify the effectiveness of cooperative leaming of Jigsaw and STAD models at elementary school students. Specifically this study aims to (i) identify the learning activities of students in Jigsaw and STAD model, and (ii) identify the effect of cooperative learning on student outcomes, and (iii) identify the effects of cooperative leaming on social skills on elementary school students. Subjects are fourth grade elementary school student of SD Sambungan 01 and 02 in Sub District of Undaan in Kudus Regency, was randomly selected through cluster sampling technique includes two experimental groups. lt consists of 20 students for STAD model and 21 students for Jigsaw model. Collecting the data in the form of student leaming outcomes conducted during the 2009.1 academic year through tests and non test. Data was analyzed using ANOVA and testing requirements through the normality test and homogeneity of variance. Data processing activities and skills gained through observation and then be processed through descriptive analysis. Research results revealed that the implementation of cooperative learning model of Jigsaw and STAD model was capable to improve student learning activities. While the use of both models show that students only skillful in capturing the concept. The value of the influence of process skills with Jigsaw model is 59.6%, and with the STAD model is 55.5%). Average yield study showed significant differences that Jigsaw model is better than STAD model. This means that the Jigsaw model is more able to improve student leaming activity compared with STAD model. It is concluded that the Jigzaw model is better than STAD model. Teachers are advised to apply Jigsaw method of cooperafive learning model as an altemative to teaching in the classroom.

Abstract

This research is a development research to describe the impact of constructivism-based learning with TAI type co-operative model of triangle material on student learning outcomes. Analysis of the data is based on  (1) descriptive analysis of validator's on instructional devices, (2) average learners'activity during learning, (3) average learners' response to learning, (4) average observation ability (6) analysis of the effectiveness of constructivism-based learning with TAI-type cooperative model which includes: (a) comparation of  learning result with the minimum mastery requirement using one sample t-test, (b) classical test, and (c) the influence of learners activity on learners' learning result using simple linear regression.The result shows that the validator's evaluation on learning tool is very good, whereas the other findings are as follows: the average of students' learning result is 78,87 higher than the minimum mastery requirement, which is 65, all students meet the minimum requirement for mastery, and the majority of students are active (with a mean of 4,01), the ability of teachers in managing learning in the category is very good (M = 4,07),  the activities of learners in the learning process contributes 75,1 % to the learning result. Thus, it can be concluded thatconstructivism-based mathematics learning modelwith TAI type cooperative model is effective to produce better active learning and result. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme dengan model kooperatif tipe TAI materi segitiga pada hasil belajar siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan: (1) analisis deskriptif hasil penelitian validator terhadap perangkat pembelajaran, (2) rata-rata aktivitas peserta didik selama pembelajaran, (3) rata-rata respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran, (4) rata-rata hasil pengamatan kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, (5) analisis tes hasil belajar, (6) analisis efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme dengan model kooperatif tipe TAI yang meliputi: (a) uji ketuntasan hasil belajar terhadap Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) menggunakan uji statistik t-test (one sample t-test), (b) uji ketuntasan klasikal, dan (c) uji pengaruh aktivitas peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan uji statistik regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata penilaian validator terhadap perangkat pembelajaran sangat baik, dan temuan lain sebagai berikut: (1) rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 78,87 lebih dari KKM yaitu sebesar 65, (2) ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 100% , rata-rata aktivitas peserta didik pada kategori sangat aktif sebesar 4,01, respon peserta didik positif , rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran pada kategori sangat baik sebesar 4,07, (3) aktivitas peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dengan kontribusi  sebesar 75,1%. Dengan demikian perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis konstruktivisme dengan model kooperatif tipe TAI pada materi segitiga di kelas IV valid dan efektif.

Abstract

Vocational education purpose is to produce ready-to-work graduates who have the relevant skills for current job employment. Entering the industrial revolution era 4.0 there were massive changes in various industries and workers' ability needs. This article intends to examine the implications of the industrial revolution 4.0 era for vocational education curriculum. Based on the study of various sources and business practices, it is necessary to develop vocational education curriculum that are in accordance with the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and relevant to answering the needs of new skills, such as the ability to create and manage coding, big data, and artificial intelligence. The vocational curriculum needs to apply blended learning, which integrates face-to-face and online learning, so as to more effectively build graduates' abilities and skills. The curriculum also needs to contain mastery of 4.0 competencies such as data literacy, technology literacy and human literacy. In order for the vocational education curriculum to have a broad impact, the government, educational institutions, industries must work together to revitalize the approach and content of the vocational education curriculum. Teachers must also be able to implement good learning to produce optimal graduate performance. Pendidikan vokasi merupakan pendidikan yang menghasilkan lulusan siap kerja yang memiliki keterampilan sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja. Memasuki era revolusi indusri 4.0 terjadi perubahan yang masif pada perbagai industri dan kebutuhan kemampuan pekerja. Artikel ini bermaksud mengkaji implikasi era revolusi industri 4.0 bagi kurikulum pendidikan vokasi. Berdasarkan kajian berbagai sumber dan praktek bisnis, diperlukan pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan vokasi yang sesuai dengan era revolusi industri 4.0 dan relevan menjawab kebutuhan keterampilan baru, seperti kemampuan membuat dan mengelola coding, big data, dan artificial intelligence. Kurikulum vokasi perlu menerapkan pembelajaran blended learning, yang mengintegrasikan pembelajaran tatap muka dan online, supaya lebih efektif membangun kemampuan dan ketrampilan lulusan. Kurikulum juga perlu memuat penguasaan kompetensi 4.0 seperti literasi data, literasi teknologi dan literasi manusia. Agar kurikulum pendidikan vokasi menghasilkan dampak yang luas, pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, industri harus bersinergi untuk merevitalisasi pendekatan dan isi kurikulum pendidikan vokasi. Pengajar juga harus dapat menyelenggarakan pembelajaran yang baik untuk menghasilkan kinerja optimal lulusan.
